Farfarello didn't want to fuel the fire between himself and the Archmagus (with poor Perrault caught in the middle), but saw an opportunity and had to seize it by the throat; "I could help your research," he said off-handedly, not knowing Leonard's past with demons.
On another note, a creeping feeling came up on the demon that gave him gooseflesh. He passed this off as a draft, though if he had his power he would have known exactly the reason...
Myrrelda was on earth.
And she was looking for him.

((WARNING: I shall mention the name of the Eopian castle in this godpost; just telling you so you don't get confused when I spatter senseless gibberish.))
Eopia was warm and loud as hundreds of voices sounded here and there along the bustling marketplace. As Raedou looked at the overpriced goods and crying children whining for material possessions, his thoughts drifted to Perrault. Where was he now? Was he safe? The Ganzi asked himself these questions repeatedly. He looked around, noticing countless humans staring at the ragtag bunch of misfits. Who would have thought that a Ganzi, a Draon, a mage and a biologist would travel together? Apparently, that is what the people who were staring at the travelers were wondering. After a while of walking, Raedou stopped and turned around, facing his companions.
"Alright..." he mumbled, "Here's the plan. Clem, you go to the Academy to turn in your samples, and then go and find us a nice inn to stay for the night. We want our young prince to sleep comfortably tonight."
He then turned to the Dark Knight.
"Hashmal," he said, "...Do as you please. I would rather you accompany Clem than go alone, or come with us..."
He looked at the young biologist and chuckled.
"I'm afraid I must ask you to guard the biologist with your life."
Then, he looked at Ephlas.
"Ephlas and I shall venture to the Eopia Utopia Arkatopia, and request assistance."
With a low sigh, the Ganzi turned back and began towards the castle. Then, he stopped and spun around again.
"Wait a minute..." he mumbled, "Clem, did you just say that we can find them without fail in the Academy?"
-----
Perrault stormed through the busy Eopian streets. He was furious at the Archmagus for calling him an assassin, and needed some way to cool off. As luck would have it, the elf came across a merchant's stall that sold magical artifacts. He walked up to the stall and examined the goods that the merchant had to offer.
After a bit, he decided to leave until a peculiar looking item caught his eye; a large blue shield with snow-white designs etched onto it's face. It was very beautiful, and suddenly, Perrault felt as though the shield was calling to him, urging him to take it with him. He scratched his head and looked up at the merchant.
"Yes, I'd like to take a look at that shield." he mumbled, as though in a trance.
The merchant grinned deviously.
"Ah, yes..." he said quietly, "This is a very rare artifact... It was known to the ancient Baeltans as Cathures."
The merchant pulled out the shield and placed it gently on the table.
"They say that it reacts to the emotions of the wielder by changing it's color..." he smirked, "And casts a protective spell that reflects other magical attacks... Of course, it cannot be used by only anyone..."
He eyed Perrault with a rather piercing glare.
"Only a master of alchemy can wield such a shield."
Perrault's eyes grew wide, and suddenly, the shield began to fade from blue to yellow. This confirmed Perrault's belief that somehow, he and this shield were meant for eachother. It was fate.
He looked up at the merchant.
"How much for the shield?" he asked, determined.

As the Firebrand continued to engulf the Duke in flames, Ralendine remembered the tingle of fire that he once knew like his own son. But that time was long past, ever since he became consumed by greed and evil.
"Now," he whispered to his sword, "The victorious Duke of Elmire will return... I will cast away my greed and hatred, and become the man I once was... I am sorry, my king... my prince... my family..."
The Duke was now completely covered in fire. The inferno burned nothing around it; it was gentle and pure.
The flames began to revert from their scattered state and slowly shaped a human form. The flames then resided, and out walked Ralendine, clad in a shining suit of crimson armor, masterfully decorated with golden designs, behind him a billowing white cape marked with the Elmire crest.
The Duke turned and walked towards the balcony, leaving small embers behind him as he took each step. The Firebrand burned furiously in his hand now, eager to fight armies of foes.
He stepped outside his bedroom, and leaped into the air, a bright fire blazing behind him like a burning comet in the sky.
CRASH!!!
Ralendine landed on the ground, causing fire to spike from the earth around him. The Duke was now filled with energy, enough to take on the entire world. He slowly walked towards Helenne, his sword in hand and ready to fight alongside her.
"Are we ready to go to battle?" he echoed from inside his blazing suit of armor. "My sword is too eager for a kill."
-----
Telgove laughed, for he had finally acquired control of the once-resilient mage. He could see through the wizard's eyes, and was able to control every movement.
"Finally, Lord Bael..." laughed the Ganzi, "I will be able to make up for my failure at the lodge..."
He forced the mage to turn around and face his unsuspecting allies below the tower balcony. The mage then began to charge energy for a catastrophic spell that would raze the army to the ground.
"At last, we shall achieve glorious victory!!!" he roared as he forced his magical puppet to release his mighty spell...

Just as Jaeto reached his hand up to open the door at the Inn, a stranger's hand pressed against his chest and pulled him back. He spun around and out of the man's grip, only to fall into the hands of another stranger. "What's going on here!?" he shouted. Calisto was also being held by one of the men with his hand covering her mouth. So in total, there were three men all quite tall and dressed in very official looking uniforms.
"We recieved a complaint earlier from one of our officers that a person matching your description assaulted her. You wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would you?" The men stared down at Jaeto as he struggled to get out.
"I've never assaulted anyone! Who ever told you that I did is a liar!!" Jaeto shouted back.
The officer holding Cal prisoner stepped forward, revieling her femanine face. "You don't remember me? The thief you beat up earlier today? I can show you my bruises to prove it..." she smiled wickedly.
Jaeto's eyes widened. "You... you were an officer? Why did you steal from us?!" He tried once again to get out of the strangers grasp but his energy was gone.
The first officer spoke up again. "This is a plan cooked up by the Eopian royals. We've been having a rising number of complaints coming in from the cities homeless and sickly... A gang of kids about your age have been wandering the streets at night and beating them nearly to death." The man smiled. "Eopia has a zero tolerance attitude towards your kind.... If you give us the names of other gang members, we'll persuade the courts to lessen your sentence. Understand?"
"What?! I'm not in a gang! I don't know what you're talking about!" Jaeto shouted. His voice was getting horse from all the yelling.
"Hmm... so that's your choice then, is it?" The man said with a somber tone, but the smile remained plastered on his face like it was the answer he was hoping for. "Very well then... I'll make sure to it that you get prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Lillian. Load them into the wagon and take them home."
The woman holding Cal nodded and tossed Cal into the wagon. Jaeto was dragged over and tossed in beside her the doors were shut and locked. "Hey!! Let us out!!" he screamed as he pounded on the doors. Suddenly his body lurched forward and his head smacked into the door as the wagon started moving. He held his forhead to stop the bleeding. The wagon drove out of Eopia and along the coast, heading towards the sandy prison of Actaeon in the Rantuinne desert.
[Hope no one minds me adding that razz ]

"Oh, will you all just SHUT UP!" The angry demon gripped his aching head as he roared at the screaming bystanders. As angry as he was, the demon was interested to learn that Perrault was a master in alchemy. Technically, all one had to do was formally grant a demon his or her power, and if it worked, it worked, if it didn't, well... on to the next person. Farfarello decided to ask Perrault very nicely to say the words when Archmagus Leonard wasn't around. I can wait a bit longer, he thought, itching with anticipation. "Perrault, that merchant looks a little too excited. Are you sure there's not just a charm on it to make you drawn to the shield? Not that it isn't pretty," he looked into it's color-changing shine. "Hey, what's this do?" Farfarello held up golden-chained necklace with a handsome deep purple teardrop-shaped pendant that looked as if it were about to slide right out of its bindings. "It would match Perrault quite nicely." He held it up to the elf. The merchant nearly guffawed, "Someone like you would pick up something like that; the wearer tells flawless lies. What I mean is; they don't give any sign that they're lying - twitching, fidgeting, looking away, you know what I mean." Farfarello made an irritated sound and dropped it back on the table "As if I would have use for such a trinket. Perrault might, though. Hey Perrault, tell me a lie!" He said, ignoring the Archmagus (if he was still following them).

((A truck...? I thought this was in the castle ages. A simple prison wagon would suffice... and DAMMIT!!! I was so close and you get sent to prison!!! Now I have to follow you again! rofl ))
((In this post, when I write prison wagon, I am referring to the "truck" that is carrying Callisto and Jaeto.))
Perrault thought for a bit, and then got an idea and smiled.
"Okay..." he started, "Perrault, you are a generous man with the intellect of a thousand elven scholars... How was that?"
He then turned back to the merchant and threw a somewhat large sack of money on the table.
"I have 800 gilliams. Will that suffuce, merchant?"
The merchant smiled greedily, snatched the sack and quickly shoved it into his robe, chuckling silently.
"Oh, more than so, young master..." he snarled, "The legendary Shield of Cathures is yours to keep."
Perrault smiled and took the shield, watching as it changed color from yellow to green again, mostly likely symbolizing his relief. The shield fit on the boy's back perfectly, glimmering in the sunlight.
"It's beautiful..." he whispered.
He then saw the prison wagon that held Callisto and Jaeto riding along the pathway, leaving the town of Eopia... And he could see the hooded boy inside.
"Oh, dammit!!!" he scowled as he ran towards the wagon as fast as he could, "Farfarello! We have to stop that wagon!!!"
Perrault sprinted towards the moving prison, not hindered at all by his large shield. He soon caught up with the wagon, and jumped onto it with all of his might, landing on the top of it and making a loud banging noise.
"Callisto!" he yelled, "We're here to save you!!!"
He held onto the wagon with great resilience, and was causing quite a scene as the wagon rode along the Eopian road.
"Farfarello!!" he screamed, "I could use a hand here!!!"
-----
Raedou was among the hundreds that saw the elf on the wagon, trying to break the prince free. Once he noticed that the elf was in fact Perrault, he gasped and began to run towards the wagon himself. It was much harder for Raedou to catch up with the wagon then it was for Perrault, but he managed. Once he reach the wagon window, he saw Jaeto inside.
"Jaeto!" he yelled, "Jaeto! What in the name of Lady Elysia are you doing in that wagon?!"
He then looked up at Perrault, who was frantically preparing a curser.
"Perrault, don't use that curser!!" he bellowed, "Perrault, I mean it!!!"
-----
But it was too late. Perrault activated the curser, sending a powerful shock wave down at the top of the wagon where he was standing. The wave damaged the top, but did not break it, for it was made from a very durable steel.
"DAMMIT!!!" screamed the elf, "NOTHING'S WORKING!!!"
Perrault's shield was glaring with furious reds now, and it seemed to be burning, but that was most likely just part of the magic reflection on the shield's face. He then noticed Raedou, and his shield turned blue again.
"Master Raedou!!!" he called over the loud ruckus, "It's you!!! When did you get here?!"
-----
Raedou scowled and pointed at the wagon.
"This is no time to chat!!" he yelled, "You have to stop that wagon!!!"

"Come on, you can do better then that." Farfarello smirked, "I am a purple-bellied dragon definitely not from the depths of Hell who is actually here trying to save my dear grandmother who is slowly dying from yellow snail infections." He turned to the merchant, "Your mustache is definitely not hideously over-large and I have taking an intimate love to Leonard." He said all of this without hesitating. It was worth it to confirm Leonard's words. "Also, I am not sorry for anything I've ever done. That was the truth, in case you couldn't tell." It was then that Perrault handed over his gold. "Perrault, let me pay next time." He said, thinking that that was way too much for just the shield, which is how he justified snatching a small silver ring. The prison wagon rumbled past. The demon realized that the prince and his attendant were in there and sped after it as if his heels were on fire. Farfarello passed the elf and sprung up onto the moving cart and pulled himself on top of it. "Raedou!" He yelled, "Fancy meeting you here." The cart jostled in the rocky street. The demon hung his head down and faced inside of the bars, "No worries, Your Highness and His Not-So-Much, we'll be comfortably chatting over dinner in no time." He disappeared and smiled, saying to himself, "Now for a bit of much-needed fun. This has been a good day," He fell down upon the drivers, "Surprise!" He disrupted them, then jumped onto the back of a horse (if there is one. If not, he just stayed there).

"yes! the scryers can locate anyone. You simply need to know their name and appearance..." Clem started.
When the prison wagon rolled by, Perrault and Farfarfello after it, Clem stopped, "They shouldn't do that..."
Leonard chased after, waving his staff, "You two fools! Cease your actions, or else you'll make it even worse! I have connections! let me handle this!"
Hashmal shook her head, "This is not the strangest thing I've seen, but it's close..."

"Right-o, Leonard!" Farfarello said as he finished unhitching one of the horses. He gripped the beast's mane and yanked it cruelly to the right, pulling it in front of the other horse, who reared back mightily. Farfarello pulled his confused steed further into the chest and side of the other, causing it to fall onto its side and bringing the rest of the wagon with it. He dismounted the horse and smacked it away, circling around broadly to the back of the wagon. "Your turn!" ((He was talking to Archmagus Leonard))

"Oh, Dark Knight damn you all! That isn't what I meant!" Leonard exclaimed.
Hashmal blinked, "Did he just tell me to damn a demon? That seems a bit redundant..."
Clem shook his head, "This is getting out of hand... Leonard!"
The Archmagus turned towards Clem, "Ah! You've returned! I could use some help here!"

[K-JAG: Sorry... forgot. I changed my post so it says wagon now... Hayato: You stopped my wagon? sad Is it still in Eopia or did it at least make it out of the city?

I tried to make it clear when I said it drove (past tense) out of Eopia... Didn't think you guys would pull it back to Eopia...]

((Well, actually, to get to Rantuinne from Eopia, one must cross the now turmoil-filled plains of Favraes. They are quite big.
Also, there is already a quest worked out. Finding the seven Royal Artifacts, and the Great Bishop, shall be Calisto's next task.
I would love to reply to this, but my sister wants me off of her computer NOW. Mine's crawling with viruses. sad
Also, I wanted to do something about collecting an air sample from the Gravity Mines! (cough, Clem, cough)
Anyway... I'll be gone for an indefinite amount of time. Sorry all.... ><
But Merry Christmas.))
