We are all but insignificant specs of dust... standing upon a larger spec of dust, that is spinning in orbit around a flaming spec of dust, that is part of a massive collection of specs of dust, both flaming and not, that we call the milky way. This is the universe, nothing you could possibly do will ever alter this fact. There were many before you, there are many with you, and there will be many after you. Any legacy you leave will be undone eventually, and any record of it will be lost soon after on the cosmic scale of things. The only pleasure than can be truly taken in life is knowing that, because you comprehend this, you are still better in some way than many of the specs of dust out there that were before you, are with you, and will be after you.
