Kiani and Korbin took their time as they moved further along, and honestly, Kiani was ready to be done with this mission. She wasn't a fan of this island and she knew that Korbin wasn't in the best of shape. Getting into another battle could leave her with no pokemon to battle with...and if that happened, she'd have to go back and heal her pokemon before trying again.

Kiani groaned as they kept walking, how long was it going to take to find the stone that they needed a picture of. She was not a happy person at the moment, feeling quite unlucky to be honest.

Kiani began to whistle a cheery tune as she and Korbin walked, causing Korbin to roll his eyes. She was bored, and so was he, and they both were ready to be done with this mission.
Surging forth with no time to halt, the Mareep would end up running straight into the shadow, taking on the full brunt of the attack before being sent rolling into the grass. For a Pokemon that had till now operated as a one Mareep army, this loss would come as a surprise than more to it alone. Either way, this battle was over!
The rock bounced right off of the Phanpy's face and richoceted onto his shells; one of them broke right in half. He stared up at the trainer in confusion. >That... that wasn't very nice,< he said grumpily. >Would you like it if I broke your stuff?< He bounced up and down excitedly, suddenly fired up. >Let's go, mate! Unless you want to pay for that!< A challenge had been issued.
Hiro's cry would alert several Pokemon of the imminent explosion and it'd save them. Unfortunately, Hiro wasn't a Pokemon, and wasn't blessed with that speed. He'd take the full force of the blast-- small though it was, it'd send several rocks slamming into his back and would knock him to the ground. It wouldn't be worst injury someone could suffer, but it wouldn't feel good.
Looking down, Argyle would give Sybelle a short nod before releasing her from his arms. Seemed the ghost was up.
Hence it was her that would field the most important question of this battle ">How does one pay for something you didn't pay for in the first place?<" Was the Phanpy carrying change in it's non-existent pockets? Was there a merchant girl around here? Did she sell seashells by the sea shore? ">Mwehehehe<" She'd almost like to hear the Phanpy try that one. Probably tie is wee trunk in knots!

No matter how unfortunate one may feel, there's almost always someone who has it worse. Kiani and company would come across a half-scorched dead body-- from the size of it, it seemed to be a student trainer that hadn't been nearly so lucky. Perhaps he'd been a victim of another Pokemon, or maybe he'd gotten into an altercation with another trainer that had ended poorly. As it was, the scene was grotesque-- the top half had been charred and blackened, while this bottom half-- pants, shoes, still-shut fanny pack and all-- was fairly intact.

"Vorpal!" the short robot cheered as she bounded across the grass to hug her Honedge. She easily scooped him up in a hug, cuddling the sword to her chest. "Well done!" she praised him happily. She was starting to get the hang of this battling thing, and her Pokemon was doing quite well.
>Mrble,< the Honedge grumbled, patting his trainer on her head. He wasn't great when it came to affection, and he wasn't quite sure why she was fawning over him for doing his job... but he still liked it.
Thus finished with the battle, Alice would carefully navigate her way through the sheepy minefield, interested to see what would come next.

>You'd, um...< the Phanpy trailed off, brow furrowed in confusion. >You... would... you'd pay with your time?< he managed, jabbing at her with his trunk. >You'd spend your time getting me more sea shells from the sea shore!< he bounced, suddenly enthused about this battle. >Yeah! if I win, that's what you're doing!< Thus resolved, he'd immediately go on the defensive, ducking behind a rock.

Kiani smelled the charred body before she saw it. As she covered her nose, she took in the damage around them. Korbin was the one to point it out, and he began to turn a slight green. Kiani only wished she had a stronger stomach, because she had to run to the bushes and throw up the little that she had eaten before her arrival. "That's gross. I wonder who it is?" Kiani muttered, wiping her mouth and going in for a closer look. She was half tempted to photograph the carnage, but decided against it.

Alice nervously tried her hair ribbon, pushing her soaked hair out of her face, It kept slipping down, and she didn't need any more annoyances during this trip. She needed to be careful-- it felt like they were getting deeper and deeper into this strange island, and she needed her wits about her.
Sybelle would scowl. Not at what the Phanpy said, but rather the severe lack of a knotted trunk after the fact. You could practically feel her cold hard disappointment. Speaking of cold and hard, the ghost would fly up, freezing herself and dropping like a fist. This actually wasn't terribly likely to work, but if at first you don't succeed, try hitting it harder! Thus Ice Punch it would be.

In the Garden of Monsters
Long had been Alice's path, and once again she'd find it blocked by a big furry slab of meat and muscle. A Tauros was once more in her path, but even though it looked right at her it didn't seem ti mind her presence. Instead it made it's way slowly through the grass, all three of it's tails lazily swatting at rain drops as it parted the walls of greenery. When it finally stopped it would be to rest it's large blue doe-ish eyes on a stone of monumental size....of which he'd begin slowly licking at the thick green moss growing on it's side.
In the middle of the stone was a small inscription written in an old Sinnoh Dialect. Wasn't there tales in Sinnoh of the effects of a 'Moss Rock' on an Eevee? Perhaps this was the object Professor Strominoff had wanted her to Photograph!
A wordless, agonized scream erupted from the dead body as it began to flail, lashing out against invisible attackers. His legs kicked out towards the girl, dislodging his pack to the ground beside him. Perhaps half-dead trainer had sense Kiani's presence and assume the attacker had returned to do the job, or perhaps it was just the last big of neurons firing. After a couple seconds of pained wailing, the body would slump and stop moving-- hopefully, dead for good.
