The Inge felt the sharp sting of Hashmal's blade, and screamed at an ear-piercing frequency, wildly slashing about with it's two cruel scythes.
"GeT... tHe... DrAoN!!! I aM tHe TrUe DaRk KnIgHt!!! AaAaYyYiIiEeEeEeEe!!!!" it screeched as it's shadow body began to slowly fade away, revealing the Inge's TRUE true form:

The Inge then shivered violently and, with a final, annoying screech, burst into thin air like a balloon, leaving nothing behind.Raedou scratched his head.
"Wow, that was it?" he said, disappointed, "That was the evil creature that defeated the Dark Knight with ease?"
The mine then returned to it's former state, and the red, pulsing room completely disappeared, revealing sparkling purple walls that glimmered in the light that was now shining through where the pulsating core used to be. And sure enough, behind where the Inge stood his ground, were the Arcanite gems, radiant with seven vivid colors.
"So..." Raedou mumbled, "This is the true form of the mines... I did wonder why the Ganzi bothered to mine in such a dreadful place, but this explains a lot."
He turned to Hashmal and looked away in shame.
"I apologize, Hashmal..." he said quietly, "I doubted you... please, forgive me."
He then bowed to the Dark Knight in the deepest respect.
----- Perrault decided that he had heard enough.
"BOTH OF YOU, SHUT!! UP!!" he screamed, pulling his hair in frustration.
He spun around to Farfarello and threw his coat back into the demon's arms.
"You quit babbling!" he yelled, "You're not going anywhere!!"
Then, he turned back to the Archmagus.
"And you!" he yelled, "Stop your whining! Farfarello is a good person who wouldn't hurt a fly unless it landed on his food!!"
He glared at the two arguers and forced them together.
"Now you two make up and stop drawing attention to yourselves!! My GOD, humans piss me off!!"
He then looked around and noticed that the hooded boy and his foolish friend were gone.
"Aww, DAMMIT!!!" he screamed in anger, having lost the two people who were most possibly the prince and his attendant that the poor elf was searching for.

Farfarello took this as a kindly gesture and a gift. He pulled Perrault's coat over his shoulders and admired himself, muttering, "I say; I am rather dashing, aren't I? And quite right, Perrault; not even hurting a fly, unless of course it sets me on fire like our dear friend Raedou, who for the record has been forgiven. Also, I am no human, but you can pretend so if you wish, because you are my friend." He looked very solemn.

Ephlas let his spell fade away, but did not relax. "That was entirely too easy... something isn't right."
Left unspoken, the Magus offered no apology to Hashmal. It was his nature to be careful and cautious, and this was especially so when regarding the tricks of demons and illusions. To blindly adhere to one side was to turn one's back on death, and to risk being taken by surprise when you weren't right.
Then Ephlas' gaze was caught and held by the arcanite gems. Such beautiful, vibrant stones... they were... alluring. Very alluring.

((No, that was it: the Inge is dead. The only reason that Hashmal could not beat the Inge is because it was created to be impervious to all of her attacks. Clem's flare, however, did the trick. I based this weakness off of Crystal Chronicles: if you attack a ghost enemy with Holy, it becomes physical and therefore much easier to kill. *whew, long post))
Raedou looked at Ephlas, who stared at the Arcanite Gems.
"Beautiful, aren't they?" he said quietly and happily, "Yes, they are quite a sight to behold. You know, Ephlas... If you want, I could ask Hashmal..."
He then paused, pretty sure that Ephlas knew what Raedou was going to say.
"The Ganzi and the Draon hold a valuable friendship, and we are more than willing to do such favors for eachother."

Hashmal solemnly took the seven gems and placed them in a small metallic box. The heavy deep magic aura seemed to fade as the box was closed. Hashmal looked up at Raedou, "The exit is nearby... I have harvested the gems, and they are ready to be shattered, save the two that are kept. You are forgiven for your doubt..."
---
Leonard sighed, "they will deceive you and betray you... A demon's loyalties lie with itself... I have my eye on you... Farfarello."

Perrault groaned in exhaustion, rolling his eyes.
"Look, you scientist..." he growled, "Farfarello's true power has been locked away, so he couldn't hurt anybody, even IF he wanted to!!"
He looked around, hoping for some sign, any sign, of the hooded boy and his friend.
"Now, I need you to help us find those two guys that you were just talking to." said Perrault, "If you do, me and my friend will never bother you again."
"But if you don't..." he said, looking mischievously back at Farfarello, "I'm afraid that my friend here would have to take some extreme measures. He does not like being refused... You understand, of course."
Perrault was not in the mood to deal with closed-minded scientists and their fears and blind assumptions... He just wanted to find the prince.

"I'm and Archmagus, not a scientist... I specialize in arcane arts. If you want science, their on the third floor, and besides," Leonard smirked, "Your demon friend's aura does show that he is shackled, but this place is most likely where he could be released... I can easily overpower a shackled demon of the highest ranking in hell. You have no leverage in the Academy. I was just about to give a tour when you barged in... Now the two I was showing around are in the prince's hands."

Ephlas blinked, and his interest in the gems were gone. He needed no trinket gems; they were a distraction from the Truth, on which the most powerful of structured magic relied.
Ephlas said, "No, thank you, but I prefer Symbolism - ...to gem focusing." The fool had gone and given a name to his 'forbidden art.' How idiotic, but maybe the others wouldn't notice.
Ephlas looked around, then sighed. "Beautiful as it is, I wish to leave this place now. It's grown tiring, don't you agree Raedou?"

Underneath Farfarello's skin felt as if there were hundreds of cats trying to claw themselves out of him. The Archmagus said it himself: This is the place I can most likely be released!! What's more, there was a prince on the premises. Nevermind about his 'aura' or being overpowered by the old man - he'd already been overpowered by Raedou once and didn't need another demonstration on how frail his powerless body really was - but he was so close to finally being free! Farfarello's mind snapped back to the situation at hand, lagging only a second and smirking at Perrault's words.

Raedou nodded his head.
"Yes, I would very much like to taste fresh air again." he said, "Hashmal, we must be going now... Thank you for helping us."
He then bowed to the Dark Knight and headed towards the final elevator... which led to the exit of the mines.
-----
Perrault grimaced.
"Prince?! What prince?!" he yelled, eyes twitching violently.
At this point, Perrault was one bad pitch away from activating a curser.

"The prince of Eopia, what other prince would there be?!" Leonard said, confused.
Leonard grinned and looked at the demon, "Feeling uneasy at being so close to freedom? I bet it would just kill you to know that I can release seals..."
---
"Symbolism... I've never heard of such magic type before... you must show it to me... In fact, I believe there is much to discuss outside..." Hashmal slid the incredibly sharp blade into a notch on her back, clipping the box to her belt. "I am not going to remain in these mines... The gems must be shattered."
Clem smiled nervously, "Yes... let's get out of here... We should head to the academy... The scryers there can find whomever you're looking for, and I need to drop off my samples..."

"Very well." said Raedou as he eagerly stepped onto the elevator, waiting for his comrades to join him.
He could not wait to see the sun again; he could not wait to see trees and mountains... Hell, even the Storm would be a beautiful sight to him.
"Shall we?" he said quietly, trying to suppress his excitement.
-----
Perrault stopped the Archmagus right there.
"If you have a decent bone in your body..." he growled angrily, "I suggest you hold your tongue, and not get my friends hopes up."
His hand crept into his pack, ready to use a curser at a moment's notice.
"Now, please tell me where the prince went, Archmagus."

Farfarello snorted, though his thoughts were far different; I showed no signs of being "uneasy"... my aura? What's with this guy? "On the contrary; that knowledge greatly raises my spirits." This was another lie. The cats had magically grown into full-grown lions at Leonard's words. What Perrault said gave Farfarello a strange feeling; Why? He thought, Why does he even care? Farfarello chided himself, thinking hardly that the Archmage had no idea what he was even talking about and was clearly off his rocker. But that one untouched corner of one's mind always remained.
