Well, okay.
I love Paint.NET. <3 I can recolor a series of portraits in a matter of seconds as opposed to minutes. Which brings me to my next point: Grishelda is around nineteen colors and Mika is seventeen, Rath.

I'm paletting the rest of these portraits before I import them. It'll be easier that way.

Since a lot of people have been talking about the whole final battle setup... here's my two cents:
Once the final battle rolls around, the little character choose screen should be the one for who you wish to bring into the final against Madriana, the required units being Rei, Vaida, Vika, and Nino, and maybe like 5-6 others. The characters not chosen to go up against the mistress should go into a "save the crew" taskforce, and a battle will come before the final one with those guys- something like a time based battle against the morphs, each morph carrying a different true key for a crew member. When that battle is done, it immediately (-le gasp- no save!) goes to the final battle, which I think would be fitting if it were Madriana, Grishelda, and maybe Maln and someone else for good measure (?).
And then when it's all over a happy scene of the crew being released and epilogue and all that jazz. sweatdrop

I don't like the idea of it being time-based.... but that's just me. I do like the other parts of your idea though, Lyre.

What? But I made special ROM versions of my mugs! Grishelda uses like.. the same shade in her hair for like three other places! I was very conservative about color! D: And Mika sacrificed so many colors already, and I had her good.

I'll look at them again, though and double check.
Edit: whatever that thing behind janaff in the chibi is, it looks weird. You should take it out, and just stick with his body.
