[ Kyle ; Merlin ; Riku ; Sora ; Silver : Disney : Hangar ]

Kyle felt Noelle drunkenly cling to him as the teleportation occurred, and he instinctively kept an arm around her in an effort not just to stabilize her, but himself. After her whisper, he cleared his throat, looking over to Merlin, and gave a concerned expression as he mouthed 'Help'.

With a prompt flick of his wand in their direction, Noelle would find herself spiraled in sparkling blue dust, much like Kyla had been moments earlier, and in that instant she was completely sober.

"Feelin better?" he asked, looking down at her with a nervous grin. "Because your hangover's gonna be garbage when you wake up in the morning."

While everyone else began to prepare, Riku inconspicuously made his way over to Kyla, tapping the back of her shoulder and giving her a narrowed, concerned gaze.

"Kyla, are you...?" he tried to, though obviously holding his tongue; he didn't want to make her business public if it could be avoided after their last talk. He kept his voice quiet, so that only she could hear him, as they were right next to one another. "Maggie filled me in. Should you be coming?"

{Bobbi, Demyx, Zell, Red XIII, Yuffie .:. Disney Castle .:. Hall of the Cornerstone >> Hangar}

To say that Bobbi was pleased with the turn-out for folks coming along would be an understatement. The more the merrier, she always thought. Well, in this case, less merry and more… deadly? No, they weren't an assassination team. Although they could kill things if they needed to. Effective, that was the word she was working for. The more the… effectiver? Dammit.

She took quick stock of her energy reserves when Merlin asked if a spell was needed, chewing on her bottom lip again. She figured herself to be at about half a tank or so, but she didn't feel badly off enough to need such a drastic pick-me-up. She'd read plenty of books that included potions with similar effect, both intended and side. Sure, this one may be a spell and she wouldn't have to worry about the really weird side-effects that drugs gave her, but it was still something she'd prefer not to mess with.

"If I remember correctly there's potion and ether stores on the train," she said, smiling over at the magician. "I think I'll raid that. But thanks for the offer."

Yuffie chucked Cloud lightly in the shoulder when he said he'd join the group going off to do hero things. She beamed, looking for all the worlds like this entire expedition was all her idea and everything was going according to plan.

Suddenly, blue. Bobbi sneezed twice, violently.

"Son of a crap!" she exclaimed, straightening back up from the convulsed position her sneezes had left her in. Rubbing irritably at her nose with the backs of both wrists, the archer looked around at their new location, and spotted the purple Disney train almost immediately. Though she still felt the after-sneeze itchy tingle in her nose, she grinned at the sight of the old pirate, and trotted up to him, hands upraised for a hug.

"Silver! I missed you!"

[Kyla: Disney: Hangar]

The mage thanked Merlin for his help and promised to be mindful of the after effects before turning towards the train. She had only taken a step or two when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She met the keybladers blue gaze and her brows knitted. Obviously Maggie didn’t believe her- it made sense not to. Kyla wasn’t even mad about it, all it meant in the end was that Maggie really cared about her right?

She’d have to apologize for making the alchemist worry about her.
“I’m alri-…” she cut off, because that didn’t feel like the truth- so swallowing the artist started over, her voice low and soft so only he could hear her responses

“I’m not a danger to anyone anymore. Bobbi, James and.. my shard of Louis helped me deal with the issue. I’m sorry I made you and Maggie worry. I thought I could handle it by myself-“ she shrugged- “-maybe I could have but.. there wouldn’t be enough time. Maggie was right. “
Blinking back and forth between Riku and the train, Kyla breathed a sigh then continued. “…-should I be coming?… I don’t know. I’m still torn about that but- if I stayed behind, it would be like running, for me. And once I do it- I’ll keep doing it. I have to face this, or I never will.”

She wrung her hands together. “I can only promise to do my best.” She folded her fingers, feeling the jitteriness absent from them now that Merlin cast his spell. “I know once I leave this place, all the comfort around us won’t be there to help when we enter that battle field. I feel like I’m making a choice under the influence- “

-Still I’m asking myself why I was chosen if I know in my heart there’s some things I cannot do.”

Kyla remember what Sora said about Kairi and felt the same. Truly, she’d rather break first.

Drudging up the courage she met Riku’s concerned look again, “I’m hoping I’ll get my answer. I promised I’d help him. I’ve never broken a promise yet. … I’ll just have to live with it, right? You said I’m not alone in this right? I’m counting on it.”

Fate rarely calls us when we are ready. Even now Kyla couldn’t fathom it, killing someone. Even to put them out of their misery.
She contemplated it before in the past- and even now Kyla felt that if forced to, something would die inside her along with them. She was NOT eager for this- but she HAD to. Whatever happens- happens.

She chuckled bitterly-“long winded, again, sorry.I just wanted to be honest. So, I can go- Or am I grounded?”

[ Riku : Disney : Hangar ]

Riku simply nodded along as she explained, and when she finished up, he gave her a reassuring smile and another nod.

"You're fine. And don't be too upset with her," he said, lightly patting her shoulder. "Apparently, last time you told her you were fine, you were trying to trudge through with... that. So she was just concerned."

With that, he started walking toward the train. "Let's go. We'll figure it all out when we have to. Seems to work for Sora."

[ Kyla : Disney : Hangar ]

“I guess you’re right.”
She did tend to have a habit of saying everything was fine when it clearly wasn’t. Maggie was right to be suspicious. Riku had a point too; she’d just cross that bridge when they came to it.

~ We’ll all cross it together.~

‘thanks Carbuncle. Both of you.’ of course she was adressing her own shard as well who no doubt was there as well.

As Riku took off Kyla made a face, waving a hand to one side-

“- yeah, and if we could Bottle Sora’s form of luck, these wars would be over- and we’d all be rich.”

Boarding the train Kyla took note of the initial change in spacial interior- “…wow…I’ve heard of pocket space but- this is interesting, for a train.”
She bid the captian a polite greeting.

[ Noelle .:. Prote ~ Disney Castle ~ Hangar]

Noelle blinked as everything seemed to become clearer for her. She looked around and realized that they were back at the hangar . . . were they going somewhere? Oh, that's right, she said she was going, too. Did that mean she actually knew where they were going? No. Kyle's arm was around her, and she was still clinging to him for dear life, however what wasn't awkward to her before suddenly very much was.

"What in the world just happened?" She laughed awkwardly, letting go of Kyle and standing up, "Who let me get that drunk?"

'It certainly wasn't me, featherweight.'

[Amy : Disney Castle : Hanger]

"Yeah, it's much more spacious," Amy said in response to Kyla's comment about the interior of the train. "I like it. It's a nice improvement." She was in the lounge car of the train now, being the entrance where Silver had appeared. She didn't know who he was, having never seen the movie, and made a point to avoid him.

"I'm gonna grab some things from the magic cabinets and take notes of who we've got." She wasn't really talking to anyone in particular at this point, just voicing what she was going to do for the sake of communication. If the lounge car had cabinets, she'd go for those; otherwise, she'd head into the adjacent dining car.

{James ; Leon ; Auron : Disney Castle : Chamber of the Cornerstone --> Hangar}

"Who said I wasn't coming as well?" Leon asked Axel after his announcement that he was going with the group.

The corsair didn't feel like he had anything else to add to the conversation in regards to Louis or the current mission they were about to embark on. As the new Joe stated his summon and the powers that he possessed the corsair couldn't help but chuckle at the following responses. Atomos was an interesting summon, typically manifesting in the same way, as a large maw that devoured everything in a vacuum. In Final Fantasy XI in particular, Atomos was a devourer of time that nearly devoured the hero's Vana'diel because of confusion from an alternate timeline.

In a puff of blue smoke they all left the Chamber of the Cornerstone and reappeared in the hangar and the train. Without saying anything the corsair boarded the vehicle and let out a long whistle as he noted the increased size of the inside of the train.

'Our group is a fair bit larger than it was at the start of all of this, it seems the train has responded to that,' The corsair thought as he took a seat in the lounge car.

As he waited for the group to depart the corsair closed his eyes and thought about where they were heading. Back to Narnia, back to the place where the corsair started fighting and had nearly gotten killed twice in that world alone. He made a mental note to follow Amy's thoughts and make sure to stock up on items as well before they arrived.

{Kuro Oni : Castle Zvahl Keep : Throne Room}

{{Cue: Revival}}

The Nightmare Dreadnought stood in the center of the large, circular room that was the Shadow Lord's Throne Room deep within the Keep of Castle Zvahl. He stood in the center circe of the large beastman's crest that adorned the dark floor. This symbol was the most prominent feature of the evil room aside from a large casket in the back. This was the prize that the replica sought, the reason he had come all the way to the god forsaken frozen wasteland that was Xarcabard. With a triumphant smirk the dark gunner walked towards the casket, his eyes locked on it. He would release him, revive the great evil of Vana'diel that had nearly brought the Alliance of Altana to kneel.

The nethicite embedded in his chest pulsed with red energy, seemingly knowing it's purpose, simply waiting for it's owner's command to start the ritual. The Dark Corsair raised his hands up to his chest, surrounding the stone, his hands just a few inches above it. Coincidentally, this was the the exact same pose that a mage would use in Final Fantasy XI to cast magic. His head bowed as he looked down at the power building within his hands as he focused the energy from the nethicite to catalyze the ritual.

"Here goes nothing," he stated as he launched his arms out to his side, unleashing the dark energy at the obsidian tomb.

The evil power struck the spiked, wing like handles on top of the casket and from there, spread to cover the lid. The energy licking at the sides, seeping into the crack between lid and bottom, prying into it. Forcing darkness and with it energy and life into the dormant form that was the spirit of the Shadow Lord.

"Wakey wakey…," Kuro Oni whispered with an evil chuckle as the heavy stone lid began to rise, levitating above the casket.

With a booming thud the top hit the stone floor of the throne room and a thick mist began to stream from the casket and directly above it the mist and energy were beginning to coalesce into a large mass Everything was going according to the replica's plan.

Just as the Shadow Lord's head began to take on it's bestial form amidst the mist, and Kuro Oni was confident he would be revived. The energy within the room and within the Shadow Lord's form started spiraling as it was rapidly being drawn back into the gem within his chest. The replica could swear he could hear the Shadow Lord roar as his form distorted, drawn into the dark cyclone. For the first time the replica was actually shocked, unsure what was happening and unable to do anything about it.

As the last of the energy and mist was drawn back into the replica's chest he collapsed upon the stone floor, his fingers clenched into fists, his anger, his hate nearly at the breaking point. With a yell that could have been either agony or rage the replica threw his arms out to his side, unleashing the anger and hate. It took him a moment to realize that it actually wasn't his emotions he was feeling. They were his, the Shadow Lord's, and he would use this new found rage to craft a new horror. He closed his eyes and focused on the dark energy he had unleashed, willing it into form. The form of a frightening dragon from Vana'diel. This new unversed was designed to blend into the land of Xarcabard. It would roam, at his beck and call. As the Nightmare Dreadnought rose to hi feet the dark energy formed a rift and at his command the beast ripped out of the darkness and landed in front of him, awaiting the order of it's master.

"Oh Hell Yeah! This is not what I wanted. This is so much better!" He bellowed, his voice echoing around the room. The tone was changed, now deep, resonant, and carrying a hint of gravel. This was the fate that the darkness had chosen for him, and he had succeeded of that he was certain. With this merging of the Shadow Lord's soul, he took on that title. Castle Zvahl was his, and Xarcabard was now his domain.

[ Kyle : Disney : Hangar ]

"Pretty sure you did, little missy," he said, grinning a bit and chuckling. After a second, though, he leanen down to whisper in her ear."Do you even recall what we're doing? Might be important."

[Amy : Disney Castle : Hanger : Train]

The magical properties of the train were neat. If Amy remembered it correctly, the cabinets could produce anything you imagined. She was sure there was some sort of a limitation to it, or she would think of thousands of Ethers, thousands of Hi-Potions, rare magical weapons, spell books, and generally just thousands of a bunch of rare things. Then she would proceed to sell them at various Disney marketplace locations for a ginormous profit. Ha.

Right now, though, all she wanted was paper. And pens. She was hoping for good pens in various colors. If she was to be properly OCD about things, then each heading and/or new paragraph should begin with a different color pen, starting from purple and proceeding through the rainbow.

The train did not disappoint. The pens were lovely. She even squealed in glee, unable to help herself. With them came a notepad, ordinary enough, black... but with a silver heart shaped lock and key. That was neat.

She'd keep track of things in this book. They needed a record – she needed a record. She needed to keep track. If no one else made use of it, she could at least consult her own notes. To keep track of things. All the things.

[Elleon : Delia ~ Paris ~ Beauvais Manor: Study]

Ell appeared in her study and immediately sank into the chair behind her desk. The haughty posture she had maintained through much of her encounters drained away as she rested her face in her hand. A migraine was coming on.

"Deliaaaaaaaa." She called, knowing the girl would be close by.

She only had to wait a few moments before Delia poked her head in, "Ellie, baby, how am I supposed to get any work done with you meowing at me all the time?"

"Oh for christ's sake, just get in here." Ell hissed, not even pulling her head up from her hand.

Delia smirked and stepped in, "Okay, okay, leash the b***h, will ya? Where ya been, you're . . . different."

"I didn't have a heart, so I went shopping. I've maxed the credit card on it, so we're going to have to take out a mortgage on the manor."

"Huh . . . why?"

"Why do I do anything, Delia?"

"Alright-alright, yeesh. This heart really brought out the Queen. Whaddya need?"

Ell sat up in her chair, "Well first you can have the help bring me some tea, I've had a day. Next, we'll be breaking all deals with Replicas, I don't care what the cost. That means I'll need you to retrieve Maleficent's tome. Ashley may or may not have it already, but that makes no difference. If you need help, Jadis would be most interested in getting her hands on that tome, so ask her. On that note, take this to Jadis," The blonde pulled something from her wrist and handed it to her young charge, "This is a trinity charm. Ajora gave it to all of us to communicate, and I doubt he made it himself. Have Jadis locate what magic created it, I want to know what's going on behind Ajora's scenes. Take care of the charm first, then I'll send you on your way to Ashley."

"And I thought I was busy before," The girl groaned, pocketing the trinity charm, "Why do I even like you, anyway."

"Because I give you things you want." Ell sighed and placed her head back in her hand, trying to block out some of the light spurring on her migraine.

Delia snorted, "Oh yeah, that's why. God damn, I'm easy to please. Oh, and Ell?"

"No." She replied curtly.

Delia quirked an eyebrow, ". . . No?"

"I'm not Ell." She murmured tiredly, "That thing is dead. I'll not be associated with it."

Delia looked like she was really over these mood swings. It was like she was going through puberty. "Well then what the hell am I supposed to call you?"

Ell looked up but only to pull out the drawer to her writing desk and remove some papers that would soon be getting a fresh layer of ink, "Hati."

[ Kyle ; Riku ; Sora ; Cloud : Train : Lounge Car ]

[ Shortly Before Departure ]

"Alright, everyone, we're about to set off!" Sora announced over the charms--it was certainly handy, now that even the non-Earthlings had them. "For those of you new to the train, what ya need to know: there are some magic cabinets, both in the kitchen and in the lodging car bunk rooms. They can produce various basic goods, but more importantly, they're stocked with Potions and Ethers--take what you can while you can!"

[ Shortly After Departure ]

"Sorry to butt in, everyone, but now that we're off," Kyle started, calling out over the charms as he sat in the Lounge Car. "I should pose the question: does anyone have any questions that the whole party should know about? Or any new information?"

"We should all be on the same page, as it were, so if there's anything you want to know that would be good for the whole party, or if you have any news about the situation or, heck, even your own abilities, let us know," he said. "I know it's odd, but if we're all gonna work together, we might as well all know the same general stuff."

Kyle looked over to Joe, who was sitting across from him in the lounge booth, and nodded.

He hated public speaking. On the bright side, it wasn't for a class.

Just, you know, for a life-or-death battle with a crazed murderer.

No pressure.

[ Joe : Train : Lounge Car ]

Joe leaned back into the chair he was in as Kyle spoke. He didn't really have anything to add since he had given his own abilities away to the group before hand. However, he also hated icebreakers like this and figured that if no one else was going to talk, well, better he start the brainstorming session then get left out.

"I've pretty much given away what I can do already, but I don't think I mentioned that I can take hits pretty well, so there's that. Given that a lot of you seem to be of the squishier bent, that should come in handy."

And with that, he had just given them all implicit permission to use his a** as a meat shield, but what could he do? This next part was more important anyway; he had convinced them of the worth of his abilities, now he needed to convince them that he could think.

"Also, to put it bluntly, I'm green on fighting anything above stronger heartless, but I think we can play that to our advantage." He said, gazing up at the ceiling. "Louis doesn't know who I am, as far as we know anyway. He has no idea what I can do. Between the darkness and the Scion and ice soldiers and whatever else he has, he likely has us beat on raw power, even with our numbers. So, why bother fighting him on raw power? We need to bait him, force him into overextending himself, and then wear him down. To do that we're going to need to be able to surprise him and to put it bluntly, I'm one of the biggest surprises we've got right now. If I can get close to him without him knowing about the extent of my anti-mage abilities, I could neutralize him."

{Bobbi .:. Dining Car}

After a quick round of hellos to the familiar cars and a hug from Silver, Bobbi had bee-lined for the kitchen and tea-making utilities, and was in the process of steeping a strong cup of her favorite: cocoa caramel sea salt. She had considered one of the many, many canisters of other loose-leaf teas, but had decided against experimenting before a big to-do. She was humming Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 under her breath when Kyle's voice came over the charms, followed by new!Joe's, and she snorted.

.:Errr, like… destroy all squishies. And stuff.:. Her charm-voice was tinted with the laughter she was doing a very bad job of holding back. .:On a serious note, though, it's a good idea. I know I'd be mostly useless against him; ice versus ice isn't really gonna work out so well. Now if he was, I dunno, Dragon-type, I could just ice-beam his a** for a super effective move, but nooooo. And also this isn't Pokemon, so, y'know. There goes that idea.:.

{Yuffie .:. Lounge Car}

"What's a Pokemon?" Yuffie asked, popping up behind Kyle and crossing her arms over the back of his seat. She hadn't sent anything over the charms. It was entirely by accident, simply because she didn't know she had to do so deliberately.

{Zell .:. Engine}

Zell had finished checking over everything in the engine room, making sure the entire thing had been repaired to his satisfaction, considering Captain Jack Sparrow's goof-up earlier. He listened to the kids talking over the charms, but didn't chime in anything for once.

{Demyx .:. Sleeping car}

Demyx was startled out of a nice nap by people talking in his head. He let out a yelp, purely for show, and sent it over the charms as well.

.:Don't these things have ringers or something? You woke me up! …what are we talking about?:.

.:Your astounding idiocy, Dem.:.

.:Hey, hey! No need to be rude. I was just asking.:.

.:Children!:.

{Red XIII .:. Dining Car}

Nanaki laid his ears flat and gave off a low growl, to which the brunette archer turned and bestowed an impish grin. He snorted in response and laid his head back down on his paws.

.:A civil conversation is not too much to ask for.:.

.:Sure, sure. Bacon?:.

.:... if you would be so kind, yes, please.:.

.:Yessir. Anyone else? Like, food in general, I'm in the kitchen, I can cook for y'all.:.
