Alti frowned, stumped. He'd gone down several hallways and taken quite a few seemingly wrong terms. He opened the door in front of himself to find that it lead into a small herb garden. He sniffed and sneezed, the auromas quite overwhelming him. He rubbed at his nose and then, frown remaining, ventured into the garden, the door swinging shut behind himself.

Lifting up sheets and looking under the lagre bed, Haar circled the room, puzzled as to where the teen would've gone... Exiting the room with a sigh, the young man went back to his own room. He'd look for him in time, he needed to send a message to another general concering the previous nights happenings.

-----------------------

As if fighting the very thought of being asleep at such an hour, Peyton rustled under his covers, muttering to himself lightly. Ceris had finally woken up upon Haar's departure. Although the blonde boy had been in a bit more trouble than the mage would've liked he assumed he'd be fine for now.

He needed to get more supplies anyway, and he figured a few minutes wouldn't hurt him. He had already gotten rid of whatever coating or spell that had been infused in Xel's spear. Running a hand through relatively long, limp bangs, the dark haired man left the training hall with a sigh. he hadn't been able to sleep too much...but there were still soldiers that needed checking up on, wounds to rebandage, and then of course Peyton needed another dose of medicine once he got the needed ingredients.

He hadn't expected the herb garden to be occupied, lavender eyes widening as he uttered something like a smothered gasp. "W-..." He couldn't quite remember if Shay had introduced him, but he figured this was his guest from the previous night. "And who might you be?" He asked, dark eyes questioning as the young man took a few more steps into the garden.

He looked around before the other spoke, the sound of feet padding softly on grass and the disturbance in the eddies of the air telling him of the other's prescence before it was announced with speach. "Alti. I'm here until I'm fit to be escorted home - or, more likely, I grow bored and manage a slightly more successful landing when I next decide to... travel." He didn't smile at the other, his expression remaining blank. He wasn't one for pleasantries and it currently irked him that he had gotten lost in a foreign castle and had some how winded up... here.

Ceris frowned slightly, crouching down to pick at a few herbs before looking up to answer. "Well, I'm sure I can get you an escort easily enough. I am sorry though...yesterday was rather hectic as I'm sure you know," he murmured while bracing a gentle hand against the ground to help him stand. Once back on his feet, a much more comfortable upright position, the young mage pocketed several types of herbs before lavender eyes narrowed softly.

"Your... leg. I see my poor apprentice tried to heal you some way. Were you hurt last night? I- I'm surprised I didn't notice it... horrid how distracted I get at times," he explained with a slight sigh.

"Last night...?" He frowned slightly. "I'm not quite sure when it was that it happened, but it wasn't in the castle. I telleported to the wrong kingdom and in not the best of conditions. I landed hard and hurt my ankle then," he said with a small shrug. "It's a pitty I'm no good with healing magic - not by my mother's standards, anyway, but she's the best healer in the city - or I might have done it myself, if I had the energy." He hadn't thought about his ankle since his waking. It was stiff and hurt, but he was used to pain and this one had not been particularly noticeable or bad. "Anyway, I'm fine," he said with a shrug. "You have more important things to deal with than sprained or twisted or [i[]whatever ankles. How's that boy doing, anyway?" he added curiously. He brushed aside some lose bangs - he seemed to have lost his clips - and frowned. He would have to try and sneak scissors or a knife or something so he could cut them later...

Ceris moved towards another small patch of green, kneeling down to uproot a few more herbs before replying. Turning towards the strange-eyed teen with a questioning gaze of his own. "He's...better," he murmured with a slight wince. "I'm sure he'll be fine though once-" Son of the best healer in his kingdom? Shaking away his distracting thoughts, Ceris continued, standing up with a slight waver. (He really needed to get more sleep).

"...once I get him some more medicine and force out some answers from Xel," he said with a light grin. Taking a few steps forward towards the teen, Ceris shook his head once more. "It must be just my nature but I don't believe I could let anyone continue suffering if I have the knowledge to rectify it," he murmured, bending down quickly. Tugging at the end of the male's pants with a subtle frown, Ceris held up a hand to the younger male's ankle with care. A brilliant white light soon encompassed both his hand and the lower half of Alti's leg. Although Ceris was no cleric he figured what pain the boy might be feeling would be lessened if not gone.

Brushing himself off as he stood once more, Ceris stuck out a hand in greeting. "Well it's nice meeting you, I suppose."

He nodded before finally saying, "Thank you" - words he hardly ever said. But he felt it appropriate for now - he didn't want to be on bad standing with someone prominent from a notoriously warlike kingdom. If he did, he would not only be unwelcome there, but most likely in his own home as well even if it might ebate the rumours of his foreign lineage.
"You... wouldn't happen to know where Haar is, would you?" he asked almost in spite of himself. He hated asking for help, but he didn't think he would be able to manage this on his own.

Resting ahnds against his hips, Ceris turned his purple gaze towards the entrace of the garden. "I would assume he's in his room...or simply wandering around the castle- he tends to do that when he's worried about something," the mage explain with a sheepish grin before contuing, "And I assure you, he is most likely worried about something right now," he said with a shake of his head. He swore, one day that por commander was going to worry himself to death...

Meanwhile Haar was making the finishing touches to his short message.

-not quite sure as to how I should approach the team. I would like to try to push away the brute-like image of our kingdom and try simply restricting their magic and talking. Barbaric, isn't it? Please get back to me as soon as you can.

Signing and dating the message, Haar folded it up and set out to have it shipped to a general or two in the capital area.

He frowned slightly and then posed his question slightly differently. "And would you happen to know where his room is?" He was becoming frustrated - maybe because he had been wandering around halls and being completely lost for so long that irritation had seeped into his whole being.

Ceris ran a hand through dark locks before he simply dragged the young teen out of the garden by his sleeve. "Come right this way, if you would," he murmured, letting go of Alti as he led him back to the training hall.

"It's not hard to get him from here," he explained as he pressed specific herbs into a nearby bowl he had used for other medicines. Once he finished the quick job of sorting out the interesting smelling plants, Ceris brushed off his hands against his dark robes, walking quickly towards a guard who had been stationed outside the hall. "Would you please find Commander Haar for me as fast as possible? His poor apprentice has been having some health related complications and I think he should be here," he murmured with an almost remorsed expression.

It frightened him how well he could lie- and although the message system throughout the castle was remarkabley fast it all depended upon how fast Haar would respond to said message...He knew his little lie would get him here quickly.

"This shouldn't take more than five minutes, I assure you," he murmured with a lightly sheepish expression as he returned towards Alti. "You said your mother was a great healer, did you not? Who might your mother be?" He asked gently, returning to his work of crushing the herbs he had just so recently picked.

He watched as the guard left to relay the massage, a slight smirk playing across his features. He looked up, caught from his own thoughts, as the other spoke to him again. "Oh... Allora. Dutchess Allora of the Kingdom of Storms. You've probably heard of her, considering the rumours of my paternity," he said with a slight sigh. He had no idea if that rumor had spread to this kingdom, but it might have. After all, the rumour had part in this place...

Once his task of task of bruising the small herbs was nearly complete, Ceris quickly stood over the still form of Peyton with a face of near regret. He needed to make the boy look a bit more haggard so his message would be believable...thus giving him a bit more time to find an escape from the young commander's firey temper.

"Allora?" The young man's amythest eyes went wide at the mention of the dutchess's nealy holy name- at least it was such in the world of healers, clerics, bishops and priests, not to mention the few witch doctors of the land. The man looked perfectly flustered for a moment or so as he shrugged slightly at the mention of rumors. "A-ah, I...I don't think I've heard such rumours, would you mind filling me in?" He murmured, lowering his starkingly bright eyes as he muttered a few spells over the increasingly pale looking boy.

He watched as the boy's condition seemed to worsen, but it was obviously some trick of the man - obvious to Alti, at least, who was watching him do it. "I don't look like my father. Nor my mother. And my eyes especially bear no resemblance to any of my family. Most have grey or blue or, at least, brown or purple eyes," he added, his voice trailing off. "And I don't fit with my family - every one of them is a healer, we're famous for it. But I'm not. My magic is more fighting related... I've just never been much of a healer. That, coupled with my appearance, led the public to beleive my mother took up with someone," he said, his tone increasingly bitter. It had not been pleasant when the rumours began and it was little better now that he was grown.

Ceris looked up from his current mutterings of spells. "I don't see why that's your problem though. Wouldn't she be to blame even if it were true?" He asked, slightly confused as to why the teen sounded so horribly bitter. Unfortunately for the increasingly curious mage, Haar bolted into the hall as he finished speaking.

"What happened?" He asked in a slightly breathless voice, red eyes alarmed as he stared at Ceris for a few moments, desperately hoping to regain some sort of composure as he gazed down at his ashen looking apprentice.

"Did you run here?" Ceris asked with a bewildered expression, lowering his hands to his sides casually.

The brown haired man looked up sharply. "Did you seriously just ask that?"
"Of course, are you deaf?" The purpled eyed man retorted with an almost concerned expression, which only seemed to aggrivate the young commander even more.
"Ceris, stop fu- messing with me, is he okay or is he not?!"

"He's fine," he simply said with a shrug.
Haar looked ready to punch the older man in the face. "Then why was I given a message that he-"

Running a hand through his hair in an irrate manner, Haar frowned heavily at Ceris. "I hate you," he seethed, red eyes flashing as the mage took a step backwards.

"I simply wanted you to get here as quickly as-"
"So you said Peyton was ill?! What is wrong with you?!"
"I didn't think you'd-"
"Just...shut up, please."

Alti coughed loudly, hoping to disrupt the two's argument. "It's my fault," he said in a bored voice. "As much as I would love to listen to your pointless arguemet, I think your energies would be best put elsewhere. Anyway, he only wanted you here because I managed to get lost." He grumbled the last part, his voice becoming almost incoherent. He hated admitting his own faults, but it seemed neccessary at the moment.
