Sand would scratch against the Honedge's surface, wet gunk sticking in his one eye and making it difficult to focus. Wordlessly the Mareep would turn tail and disappear back into the grass. Lighting flashed overhead, the brief change in lighting only making the situation more confusing. This Mareep knew how to take advantage of his surroundings, and Vorpal was going to have to find a way to turn that against him if he wanted to win!
A sicken pokemon couldn't lighten her blow as the Magby's neck snapped and the attack crushed him. It was over, and Hiro didn't even bat a eye as his own pokemon passed out.
He just recalled her.
"Too weak, I told you to sleep it off."
He shook his head. The boy still thought it was simply a sick pokemon that had needed his aid.
"Well, nature will take care of this mess, and now I am back down to one pokemon."
He looked at the pokeball coldly.
"I see you was on your last legs too, I should have let Blight take you out, but, I guess I can find some use for you later."
He would clip Despair's pokeball back to his belt and then start forward again. Even a great trainer like himself, couldn't save everyone. (I got it wrong again)
"What am I an action hero?" Argyle grumbled as his pace slowed, resuming the trudge he'd frequently taken up during this journey. Explosions, Roggenrola slides, those floating rocks. If he didn't know any better he'd swear a pair of insane fiction writers were in charge of his life!

Continuing down the path, Argyle would suddenly perk up. Was that salt? Salt meant the ocean, and the ocean meant the boat, and the boat meant he could sail away from this place and never look back!....the boy's stomach suddenly flipped as memories of the trip here returned. It also meant losing the contents of his stomach. One rousing adventure after another wasn't it?

((13-2)-3)+(12-7) = 13 / 2 = 7 DMG! Magby is at 7 HP!
Finally, a hit of Lucifer's would land-- it what a hit it was. The flames licked Magby's body, and while he could resist some of the fire, he still felt pain. He hissed, struggling to his feet from where he'd fallen. Like a punch-drunk boxer, he'd lurch forward to try and Karate Chop his opponent once more!
(16-(4-2))+( 8-8 ) = 14 DMG! Lucifer takes 2 DMG due to fatigue! Lucifer is at -7 HP!
Magby gained 127 EXP 127/75 -> 52/100! Magby is at level 3
In the tangle of limbs, no one could be quite certain what had occurred until the Magby stumbled back, gazing down at his own hands in surprise. >I... I did it...< he murmured, managing a deadened smile. He hadn't managed to kill it, but he'd come out alive, and that was a surprise in and of itself. And he'd beaten the creature to boot. He glanced up at the trainer and her pet-- even if they'd allied themselves with the creature, he had no quarrel with them. He roughly nodded to the Wooper. >If you want to keep going, I've seen some humans go down that way. If you want to fight...< he shrugged. The Magby was giving them a choice-- he wouldn't start a fight with the Wooper unless threatened.
Argyle would find a Phanpy happily playing with some seashells in the rocks that were crumbling into sand. It would be even more proof that he was getting closer to the beach. The little elephant didn't seem like he was paying any attention to the human.

At least it hadn't been a proper attack? Alice still flinched as the sand hit Vorpal's eye, but she'd seen him survive worse hits. The battle had only just started! She wouldn't be doing her Pokemon any favors by keeping a negative mentality this clear on. "Use Shadow Sneak, Vorpal!" she cheered over the roaring thunder
The Honedge tried to shake the sand out of his eyes, to no avail. That dirty little rat... He'd make the Mareep pay for using such an underhand tactic. He shut his eyes, trying to focusing on the sounds as he extended his shadow. In the dim light, seeking the Mareep with a Shadow wouldn't be easy, but nothing was. The shadow snaked out, reaching to grip the fluffy bugzapper.

As Hiro walked, he'd find he'd accidentally step on what appeared to be a rock. However, from the angry grumble and suddenly flailing, it would soon be clear that he'd hit a Geodude. The little creature would freeze, begin to vibrate fiercely, and started tick loudly. His skin cracked, and a strange, hot light shone form the Pokemon's body... he was about to explode! Even the greatest trainer couldn't tank an explosion to the face.

Hiro had always heard that certain pokemon has explosive personalities, but this was ridiculous. He didn't even think twice before he dove off of the Geodude and tried to leap away from what he knew was about to be a very violent explosion.
"OUTTA THE WAY!"
He screamed to warn anything else that might be near him.

Seeing the Phanpy playing oh so joyfully, something in Argyle would snap. Perhaps it was the stress! Maybe it was because he was tired! Either way the boy would reach down and prepare to do something he'd done twice more this day. Winding up the boy would chuck the biggest rock he could lift at the Phanpy!
Surprisingly despite the noise of the rain and thunder above, the shadow would reach it's intended target, causing the Mareep more damage than it had likely experienced in some time. Falling forward and rolling, the Electric-type would rice with it's face and fleece matted with mud and pieces of grass. Giving an angry "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" The Pokemon would charge out of the grass, his tail shinning like a silver hammer as he turned his body sharply centimeters from Vorpal. Looked like he was going in for an Iron Tail!

It wasn't nearly enough to soothe his battlelust, but the Honedge made a noise of satisfaction as his attack connected. THIS was the kind of thing he lived for. Carefully watching the somewhat manic Mareep, Vorpal made a split second decision. He wouldn't wait for Alice's command-- instead, he'd reach out again with his shadow, attempting to catch his opponent in another Shadow Sneak!

Well, that was a disappointment. Kiani sighed and Korbin looked to her. She honestly just wanted to continue on her way, and Korbin could tell. "> To be honest, good job with the battle. I think we'll continue on our way though. I have no quarrel with you. <" Korbin said, inclining his head and moving further down the path. Kiani, noticing that the magby wasn't stopping Korbin, followed suit. Of course, she recalled heatmor into his pokeball first. He was a good pokemon, he just needed some retraining. Thus, the duo continued on their way.
