Dawn stepped to the side as Louis closed the door. Her eyes wandering around the room as the machine kicked to life. It was an interesting concept. Never would of thought she'd ever run into anything such as this.
She blinked looking at the two of them as they spoke of training, "You two can go ahead if you want to train together. I'll just watch," she held her hands behind her as she spoke, "As much as I need training, I highly doubt I'd be much of a match for either of you."

"Well, I was actually testing out an enchantment of sorts to give my allies a boost," he explained, rubbing his chin in thought as he glanced at Louis. "I've been testing it out on dummies to see how long it will last, but I still don't know how an actual person would react."
"And considering you use magic of the Darkness, it might even have an adverse effect on you," he muttered, before looking to Dawn, a sudden change of topic going on in his head. "Hey, Dawn, what was your summon, by the way? I saw you use some wind magic, but didn't catch his-slash-her name...?"

Dawn flinched outwardly as the voice yelled in her.
'Sorry.. good with faces bad with names... And seeing I have never seen your face. And fact being you didn't start talking to me till-'
~'Oh quiet! It is Garuda, remember it this time, you Airhead!'~
"Geez sorry!" Dawn said out loud to her before looking at Kyle, "Her name is Garuda. And she seems to have a little chip on her shoulder."
Dawn swore she heard a hiss in the back of her mind which she could only guess was Garuda. She just ignored her.

Jenny's eyebrows furrows as James spoke of debt, no one liked being in debt. It was a horrible feeling. Speaking of which, she owed her brother twenty dollars. He had let her borrow it to go to the movies with her friends. The mage sighed, thinking about Michael. Weird how any topic could bring up something completely unrelated.
"Music would be amazing to study, though there's a lot of theory and history. And the Tran-Siberian orchestra is amazing, I would love to go to one of their concerts. But yeah, having an outdoor concert hall means crazy explosions in the sky." The dark haired teen replied with a small smile. And she completely agreed with James about canon fodder, it was ridiculous sometimes. "I know what you mean, they come to you with all their problems and give you a hard time and then everyone expects you to act all cool about it. There were definitely a number of times where I was about to fling a smoldering hot pizza at their faces!"

"Oh, thank GOD," Kyle exclaimed, suddenly going slack as he looked up to the sky, as if to literally thank God. He could even hear Ultima sigh in some relief in the back of his head. "I couldn't think of too many other wind summons, what, with Sylph taken. Going by the trend, it was either Garuda, or... Chaos. And having one Ivalician esper out to kill me is enough."
After heaving a light sigh, he recomposed himself and rolled his shoulders somewhat. "So, what's she like? Besides the chip on her shoulder."

"This is Celia. I just created her- a rather unique creature, wouldn't you say?" he asked, grinning at his 'child', who seemed to be unfazed by everything going on at this point. "She's not very talkative at the moment, but that'll change soon- Ah, Kuro."
As the Nightmare Dreadnaught reappeared, shoving forward their precious cargo, Ajora quickly made sure to catch the older male, who practically tripped over his own two feet after being pushed through the portal.
"Who are you- you barbarians, unhand me-!" he shouted, immediately struggling before he found a soft, gentle hand tightly gripping his throat from behind, ceasing his fight just before a stray punch had hit Ajora.
"Now now, Sir Beckett, we're hardly uncivilized- quite the contrary, I brought you here for a spot of business," Ajora replied, composing himself somewhat and using a mock-British accent before chuckling. "You may let him go, Celia, he sees where he is now."
Indeed, the blond released the businessman's throat, and he did nothing but gawk at the scenery. The rotting boards, the scum-covered walls, the barnacles infesting the entire room. He attempted to stutter something, but was cut off by Ajora.
"You are on the Flying Dutchman, the infamous ship of Davy Jones. And this," he explained, drawing one leg behind him before shoving something forward that he'd had behind him for sometime. "This is the heart of Davy Jones. I believe you want it, yes?"
It didn't take long for the well-trained businessman Cutler Becket to regain his own composure, inhaling sharply and standing up straight, wiping away the wrinkles on his coat. "Who are you... and what do you want?"

The demented jester cocked his own head to the side before cackling, draping himself across the table rather melodramatically as he look at them with a rather endearing smile. "Well, looks like my boys decided to make themselves useful after all!"
The court jester wiggled his nose for a few moments before the requested trio of Heartless appeared, all simply floating there, waiting to be used.
"Come on, boys, show daddy what you've learned, hmm?"

Dawn tilted her head to the side looking at Kyle. She couldn't quite understand what he was talking about with the whole esper out to kill him. Who was out to kill Kyle she wondered. And why?
"Garuda... Hard to say. She just started talking to me not to long ago actually. She has done nothing but got onto my case. Though it doesn't seem like to be mean or anything... And gave me a few good words earlier," she shrugged slightly, "As I said I can't say much about her but that. Oh, and she did call you 'Flasher' earlier. Don't ask me why..."
Dawn pointed at Kyle, still being bugged by the someone out to kill him part, "But why is anyone out to kill you? Are you talking about your replica? A-joe, was his name right?"

Joe nodded at Dawn as she and Louis passed by him, and he bee-lined straight for Izza's stable.
"Hey, girl...how you doing? Hm?"
The chocobo crooned at him and dipped her head, nuzzling his face with her's like she knew he was down in the dumps. Of course, that was pretty obvious to EVERYONE. Why wouldn't a chocobo be able to see it?
As he ran his fingers through his mount's feathers, he let out a deep sigh. He didn't know what he was going to do, or how he was going to accomplish his goals. But there was one thing he did know, at least.
...I have time...I don't know how much time, but time, regardless.

The replica looked at Kai as she entered, then looked away. Woohoo, the pictomancer. She didn't matter to him in the least.
Of course, when Kuro came back with that pansy of a man, Azrael frown, which turned into a scowl when Ajora started to negotiate...
The hell are we negotiating with him for? What...no, I don't care. I'll find out later, more than likely.
Leaning against the wall again, Azrael watched everything happen. If anything, he more than likely just blended in with everything. If his original was good at anything, it was being quiet and forgotten. Everyone said everything around him. Why not Azrael, too? So he tried to blend in now, all while watching Celia.
All that strength, good looks, agility...lethality...just thinking about that in a male body made Azrael's mouth just salivate

Louis tilted his head a little, listening to their conversation. He perked up at the words Ivalician summon, "Ivalician esper? Esper... esper... esper... I think I've heard of those. They're supposed to be legendary if I remember correctly. I thought they were just stories until Maggie mentioned something about one of you guys having one, and now here you are mentioning them too. Darn... I can't remember what his name was... would be cool to see what a guy like that is like."
Louis looked at Kyle and laughed, "Sorry, ignore me. Getting a bit off topic. I don't see the harm in trying, and what does a little darkness have to do with an enhancement spell? They have plenty of those back home. Besides, you said this room reverses any injuries right? If I'm hurt I should be fixed up in a flash right? So go on, try it out. I'm curious to see the effects."

Kyle nodded lightly as Dawn spoke, chuckling somewhat at the nickname he'd been given. Ah, innuendos, even in an alternate universe, they were fun. However, he tensed somewhat at her next question, followed by Louis' brief monologue and question of his own.
"Well, he goes by Ajora, actually, in reference to a... certain saint in a story from home," he began to sspeak, making sure to catch his words while in front of the Ivalician. "And actually, no... the person, being, whathaveyou that apparently wants me dead is an Esper named Mateus, the Corrupt. As Louis just mentioned, they're legendary entities from the world of Ivalice. Long story short, they were once demigod-like beings in charge of the workings of the world before one of them led a faction against their creators, losing in the process."
"However, something that apparently wasn't told in the legend was that leader's betrayal of her own allies. They were all tainted by Darkness, so it was pretty predictable, but regardless," he continued, by this point gazing over to Louis, as if checking his reactions for something. "They were stripped of most of their demigod abilities and banished into another dimension- I'm guessing the place where summons are kept. There, she tricked them into believing that they could all get out, when in turn, only she could, abandoning them."
"Now, to answer pretty much all of your questions in one statement: the reason this entity, Mateus, wants me dead; the person Maggie was talking about; and the reason my enchantment might have an adverse affect on your Darkness," he managed to get out, all in one breath before sighing. "My summon is the Holy-elemental Ivalician Esper and the one who led the other Espers against their creators: Ultima, the High Seraph.""In the flesh," came the ethereal voice of the said-summon before she appeared beside him in a slight flash of light. She appeared to be almost his height, in her white gown, complete with golden outlining, tan-blue skin, and long, white locks of hair, her violet eyes glancing at the other two, rather unimpressed, before glancing at Kyle. Louis listened showing no real reaction on his face to the first portion of the story aside from a few nods recalling the story as he told it. His eyes opened slightly wider thinking to himself, Mateus never filled me in on that portion of the story. I knew he had some reason to hate Ultima but... he left out the portion where he was fooled along with the rest as she escaped. He was probably too prideful to admit it... this is more helpful than I imagined... this helps me understand him a bit better.
He came back to his explanation towards the end, just as he anounced his summon, she, appearing on cue with the very mention of her name. Louis had to suppress the looming worry he felt as she appeared, hoping deep down that she couldn't sense his affinity to Mateus at such close range. Swallowing his negative emotions, he readjusted his masked persona and altered his facial expression to one of joyous surprise, "Oh wow! This is an esper? Amazing! She looks so... human." He stated the last part carrying its own sense of surprise, looking to Kyle next, "You're so lucky... aside from the whole having someone wanting to kill you part. You would be famous back home. Not to mention every country would want you for their army. I mean... having the power of a demigod at your disposal must be pretty impressive."

{James : Train : Dining Car} James listened as Jenny spoke yet again and couldn't agree more. The music theory sounded pretty cool but not so much the history. It didn't matter the history class, they would put him to sleep from time to time. That never changed. When the topic changed to the topic of cannon fodder and oddly enough the threat of flinging pizzas they corsair couldn't help but laugh. Jenny seemed to just say things because she knew they would be funny, even though he had a feeling she was completely serious too. "Yeah I like the theory, and the practice and all that... not so much history. History of any kind really kind of fails at holding my attention and my interest. Yeah Trans-Siberian Orchestra is awesome. Bobbi and I one time went to the concert and got front row seats thanks to her parents." He paused there considering what exactly a pizza to the face would do especially if it were still hot. He winced mentally as he imagined someone being burned by melted cheese... not a pleasant mental image. He quickly shook his head, trying to get rid of the thought before his mind manifested that pain for him. "Yeah, that would be a good way to get fired though or worse... The worst situation I ever dealt with was on Easter Sunday of all days. A woman was buying last minute stuff, candy and what not and she handed me ten dollars in cash with the intent to pay the rest on her debit card. I had already finished bagging while she was still looking for it. This is five minutes to closing mind and I am the only cashier and there are at least two other customers behind this woman. In the end she throws a fit, snatches the ten dollars out of my hand and throws the items I had just finished bagging right back at me and walked off saying she had never faced such rudeness in her entire life... I just stood there thinking "what the...?" inwardly while I called my manager over for a void transaction to finish the other customers..." { Zorn & Thorn : ??? : Dark Tower} {{Cue: The Extraction(title doesn't fit but the song does)}} Zorn and Thorn watched as Kefka followed their movements, cocking his own head and then cackled as he draped himself across the table before with seemingly no effort whatsoever on the Jester's part the Three Heartless appeared, floating there ready for the shattered gemini to do their work. The two of them assumed their positions on opposite sides of the three mage Heartless. They raised their hands outward as a mysterious light flowed from their non-visible hands behind their long spade like sleeves. "Power hidden deep within!""Hidden Power deep within!"The light began to envelope the three Heartless as the two cartwheeled to switch positions. "Power locked away in the heart awaken now!""Awaken now! Power in the heart locked away!"As the two continued this strange dance of synchronized jumps and cartwheels the light continued to envelope the three Heartless and slowly their form became obscured by darkness, their shapes beginning to change becoming more humanoid in appearance... The two jesters stopped as they watched the transformation occur as their powers and potential were unlocked. "I believe it is working!""Working I believe it is!"

Dawn listened carefully as both Louis and Kyle spoke. Though most of it went over her head. One of those legends of gods and such fighting, but came to life. It was surreal to her. And all these Ivalice Espers were after Ultima, Kyle's summon. The only way to kill her was to kill him. Talk about pressure.
Before she could say anything more or ask any more questions, there she was before them. Dawn looked up at the woman, her mouth hung open. She was so beautiful. Almost like a...
"An Angel..." she whispered just what she thought Ultima to appear like. Her natural love for the higher beings taking over her as she just stared in awe. Was she blushing as she stared up the Esper...?

"Well, since they were stripped of their demigod powers after their betrayal of their creators, they're really just summons with a background," Kyle shrugged, noticing out of the corner of his eye Ultima's analyzation of Louis. Indeed, his own reaction piqued the teen's interests.
What part about 'tainted with darkness' didn't he understand...?
Hmm. If Ivalice is still the way I remembered it, then it wouldn't make much of a difference. I'm just a legend, after all.

Still... there's something...
"She was, technically, an angel pre-fall. She's just lost her wings. I'm thinking she'll get them once she's-"
Watch your tongue.
"-back in her full form," Kyle said after a split-second's hesitation, glancing toward Ultima with a curious look. The esper had slowly begun to move toward Louis, her feet just barely grazing along the floor as she hovered, her narrowed eyes showing an intense curiosity.
"You use the Darkness in a rather unique way," she finally mentioned, now maybe a foot or two from the Ivalician, her eyes set evenly with his own, their bright violet irises seeming to try to pierce his soul. "It's been awhile since I've been in Ivalice. What do you humes call that school of magick again?"
