Jeanae smiled. "That's good to know...I mean, if I was the only person you've met here that you did like and that didn't exclude Lilly that would be a little sad..." It was easy for her to joke instead of be serious and focus on the fact that he liked her, which proved more difficult to forget than she thought.

William sighed. "Everyone here seems to hell bent on hating everyone else." He shook his head. "Lilly and I were raised pacifist so we don't believe in fighting so I find everyone here so ridiculous." He ran a hand through his shaggy blond hair.

"I've noticed that, I mean. I thought I was coming here to learn how to control my powers and get along with other races. But that didn't seem to be the point. I remember hearing that this was a place where everyone was to be accepted, and this place is not an example of that." She shook her head and sighed. "I just don't see the point in fighting, or hurting anyone at all."

William shrugged. "I honestly don't know....It doesn't look like much though. From what I've seen people just hang out around the lake....I like it here though, it's relaxing and peaceful."

"Well, hanging around at a lake is much more fun to me than many other things, so I'm good if that's all there is to do." She smiled at him and walked to sit next to him in the clearing.

William yawned and stretched, resting his head on Jeanae's shoulder. "Believe it or not, we Vampires need sleep too. Lilly's running me wild." He closed his eyes, but was still awake.

Jeanae's cheeks flushed, and it took her a moment to reply. She wanted to wait until it was sure she wouldn't stutter. "Well by all means you're allowed to go to sleep." She was pleased by the fact that she hadn't stuttered or mumbled, though her French accent had gotten a bit thicker than it normally would have been.

William chuckled. "Oh Jeanae, you make me chuckle." He opened his eyes and looked up at her. "I still have some of my klan's powers. I lost my mind reading abilities. But I still have empathy." He moved so that he was now laying down with his head in her lap, looking up at her. He reached up and began playing with her hair. "I didn't trick you. If that's what your thinking. I just didn't tell you."

((Yeah, I'm a little freaked out by it. If I saw this Santa when I was little I would cry))
Jeanae smiled over at him, completely confused. "You know, I'm incredibly glad you can't read minds. Like really glad." She nodded and looked down at him as he moved again. She could feel her cheeks turn a bright crimson yet again, but wasn't about to look away as she watched him play with a strand of her hair. "You confuse me. You really do. I have no idea what you're talking about." She tried to think back to when he could have tricked her, yet she still had no idea.
