(I.. was completely unaware of that little tidbit ^^ wink
Once Cilia's attention was grabbed by one of her hand maidens, Dax sat the glass back down and began picking certain amounts of each food to set on an empty plate. "I'm glad you caught her on one of her calmer days," he said, low enough so his mother wouldn't hear. He doubted she was paying attention, anyway. "Otherwise you'd most likely be stuck in interrogation for the next few hours."

He shrugged. "It's lucky I'm such a perfectly untroublesome prince or that might have been hard," he said with a grin, his "princely charm" still in full radiation mode. He saw Dax reach for a plate and, realising there was something other than strawberries set out, he took a plate and took some of each thing he liked and didn't bother with the rest.

(Well, strawberries are still tasty. That's all I care about! )
"Untroublesome, indeed," Dax said, knowingly. He noted that same dazzling smile gracing the other's features. He puts on a good show, the blonde prince thought, beginning his full meal. "After breakfast, what do you say we head down to the stables? You'll have time to prepare your horse while we're there."

"Sounds nice." He picked a sort of sweet, flaky honey bread from his plate - something he'd neve had before, but was sure had to taste good - and munched down on it, a genuine smile of near ecstacy gracing his lips. "Nnn, I'm a sucker for honey," he said, reaching for another.
((xD Bit of a joke... "Honey" is the nickname of one of my characters... xD Tato knows him... *giggle*))

[[FOMG. XD <3 That little chibi of a girl on the Shin doodle MADE MY FREAKIN' DAY. X333 Haro looks so annoyed/sad. X3 And PEYTONANDHAROZOMG. That picture of Haro makes me want to put him in a dress. Gah. The cute. D: You win at life so hard. Thanks. x3 Oh and I forgot to comment on Wei, he looks so mug. X3 "I'm cooler than you, go cry. >_> 3"]]
Haar looked back, positioning one of the lackings across his back, one arm keeping him in place. "Nn, Xel?" He asked, red eyes darting over to examine the green haired man who was laying without any of the grace he usually had against his horse.
"He was my friend. I can tell you more when we get back..." Free hand fingering the horse's reins, Haar muttered something to his animal friend and pulled him through the woods.

He took the reigns of his own horse and followed after Haar. He had figured as much - he had been able to tell that from the words he'd heard, but it wasn't enough. He sighed, knowing he'd have to wait.
((xD Wei ended up looking too much like Shin. //3 Dx And Shin is probably regularly stalked by hormonal teenagers. He just doesn't know it.))

[[Shin's obliviousness (XDwtfIdon'thtinkthat'saword) is a blessing I tell you. <3 He seems to pay attention to the important things. -swoon- X'D]]
It didn't take nearly as long to get back to the stone castle due to the fact that neither of them had to be careful to keep quiet. Guarded eyes gazed up at the large palace of sorts, a pleasant smile gracing his tired features as the back door was opened by a familar mage. "Mind weaving up a spell to transport these fellows to the dungeon?" He asked, watching with near amazement as Ceris did just that. It din't take long for the men's forms to flicker and fade into the shadows- to hopefully reappear in the dungeon-esque storage rooms. Having a small messenger take the horses back to the stable, Haar gladly stepped back into the castle, looking back to make sure Alti was still following him.
The dark haired mage looked slightly disturbed as he eyed the younger man, "Why was Xel here?" He questioned as the trio walked back towards the training hall. Haar didn't answer him, gazing at his fingers for a moment before turning into the hall whose protective barriers had long since been destroyed- much to the young officer's confusion. "Why did you-?"
Ceris shook his head, "I didn't."
Haar gave the other a rather disbelieving glare. "Then who, might I ask?" He questioned sharply, red eyes flickering around the area, softening slightly as they came in contact with his apprentice. Well, at least he had found Ceris.
"We can talk about this in the morning. I need to take care of these soldiers, including Peyton- he has some sort of weird infection...spell maybe, I'm not even quite sure. I tried breaking it, if it is a spell, but the boy shattered my first attempt when he tried to walk..." He explained, rolling his dark lavender eyes before continuing, disregarding Haar's concerned expression. "I would suggest you two," he started, turning his gaze to Alti, "Get some sleep. It's nearly dawn."
The dark haired man's thoughts wandered as he showed Alti where he could sleep. Lose someone? Xel wouldn't-... Blinking away his distressing thoughts, Haar turned to the younger male. "Do you mind if I explain myself tomorrow? I'd rather Ceris ...be there as well," he murmured, leaning in the doorway of the teen's room- it being just a spare one in the officer's quarters.

He yawned, covering his mouth with a hand. "I suppose... As it happens, I'm tired..." He plopped down on that bed rather ungracefuly, sneezing twice in quick succesion before laying back and closing his eyes. "Nnnn... but tell me one thing.... What kingdom are they from?"

Haar leapt up from his leaned position, turning his gaze outwards towards the hallway. "I wasn't sure for the longest time. Xel has basically mastered earth magic so I just always assumed he was from there. I mean with the green hair it made sense, I guess, on some level at least... I found out later through other sources that he's actually from the kingdom of ice. I never would've guess it, honestly," he murmured, running a hand through brown hair before taking a step forward.
"Well, I do hope that's enough information to appease you," he said with a tired expression. "Night," he murmured before turning around to head towards his room.
Meanwhile the rather skilled mage, Ceris, was having a bit of difficulty figuring out just what in the world Peyton had been cursed with. The dark haired man figured he could always try to force an answer out of Xel but... he didn't know if wanted to take the risk of talking to a prisoner without a general or captain's permission... Leaning over the unconscious boy with a troubled gaze, the man sighed. He would just have to wait the few short hours 'til dawn before he could have a nice little chat with Xel.

He frowned. Had Haar ever thought of the possibility that the man had mixed blood? But before he could say this, the man had left. He sighed and layed back again, deciding he would tell the other later. He closed his eyes and drifted swiftly to sleep.

The day was finally over, much to the young commander's relief. Fingers lingering over his room's door, the red eyed young man took a moment to close Peyton's with a light sigh. He did wish he could lighten up a bit on him...but- No, he was a soldier and compassion would get him killed.
With that thought, Haar sank into his bed with a frown. He should've been dead.

Alti woke several hours later to find himself in a strange bed. It took him a moment of panic to realise why and where he was and then he relaxed, sitting up and looking around. He didn't know the palace, so he might as well stay here until... something happened.

Haar hadn't slept for more than two hours (and it hadn't been a good sleep, mind you) before slipping out of bed, chnaging out of the clothes he hadn't bothered getting out of a few hours beforehand. Pulling on merely a black long sleeved shirt and just as dark pants, the young man ruffled his own hair before leaving his roo quietly. He knew most of the castle wouldn't be awake at this hour, but he needed to check on Ceris... and make sure Peyton was fine.
Although the two were still in the training hall, Peyton's cot was the only one left- which didn't help the young man's already unsettled feelings. Ceris was sitting in a chair next to the boy's makeshift bed, dozing off, or so it appeared. He knew the relatively young mage had been awake nearly the whole night and had been running around most likely the whole day because of the earlier attack. Ceris wasn't even a healer, his speciality was more or less in combat magic...his healing skills were not bad at all though.
Red eyes sweeping across the ashen looking boy, also flickering towards the tired looking mage with a sort of regretful expression. He'd just have to wait for the others to wake up, he figured Peyton must be okay for the most part since Ceris was asleep...
-----------------
Brown eyes stared heavily at the bars. One would think that the fire kingdom's highest comanders and generals were incredibly stupid to have merely locked up several good mages behind metal bars- metal bars which could easily be destroyed.
But that mage.
he had set some sort of barrier around the storage room turned cell, or maybe it was the other way around- at least it had been when he had last lived in the castle along with Ceris and Haar. So now Xel had to deal with a horrid headache and the fact that they were truly captured.

Alti was beginning to feel restless - something that he disliked, but had to deal with often enough. He located his shoes and put those on before he stood up. He looked around himself once he was out the door; he had no idea where he was or where he should go. He took a left, looking much more decissive and informed than he felt.

After a few minutes of neither of his friends waking, Haar left the room quietly. He'd wake them before breakfast if Ceris intended on sleeping past the usual time he got up- which would be very odd for the slightly older mage. The young commander didn't know if he had ever seen the magic user up at a different time (the usual half an hour past dawn) save for when he had been injured badly enough.
Haar simply hoped that Ceris was incredibly tired and that he wasn't simply asleep because he had to stay awake all night with Peyton. Shuddering slightly, the young man walked briskly back to his quarters. He might as well wake up Alti soon. He could explain a bit more so he wouldn't have to reiterate what Ceris already knew. Knocking lightly on the guest room's door, Haar waited a minute or so before knocking again...and then waiting again.
"Alti? Are you awake?" He asked, knocking once more before he opened the door with a slightly confused expression. He wasn't here...?
