Dumuzi came to the darts game and where a rather enthusiastic young vendor was serving up his craft. Dumuzi really wasn’t feeling like catching the spark on this one, but she did offer him a soft smile and she did appreciate what he was doing. Ten darts were laid out in front of her and she picked them up one at a time, launching them towards the balloons with some surprising amount of accuracy all things considering. Out of the ten balloons she was able to pop eight of them, earning her 6 tickets for her great display of accuracy. She thanked the vendor and took her tickets, placing them inside of her bag with the rest of them.

Dumuzi started to pick up the rings that were set out before her, she wasn’t sure if she was feeling this or not, but she would give it a try seeing as though she was here. Dumuzi tossed the first ring and almost got it over the bottle, but it was a no go, the second pretty well followed suit but in a more spectacular failing motion to it. She had one more, she raised it up and took a bit more of a careful aim before she gently tossed the ring and watched as it looped around the bottle and spun around a few times before it lowered itself downwards. Well, it was good that she got at least one ring and that she wasn’t going to get a pity prize for it… even though it was the same amount. She once more thanked the vendor softly and placed the pair of tickets in her bag and slowly started to head off on her way.

It really wasn’t a good idea to play video games when you were distracted by your thoughts. Dumuzi’s heart just wasn’t into it and she was having troubles focusing on the task at hand which resulted in her lives being eaten up like candy and giving her no will to play anymore. She decided to just take her ticket and try again some other time. She wasn’t feeling much like arcade games anyway.

Nope, not even going back to the heavy pond was improving her mood or concentration, in fact, she happened to have gotten a crappy paper net this time around to, it pretty well disintegrated when it came into contact with the water. So she didn’t have a snowballs chance of even getting the pokemon near the surface of the water. Maybe she needed a break? Yeah, that sounded good to her, actually and it might be a better idea for her to do so at this point. Not even the games were distracting her from the chaos that was in her head and causing havoc.

The Wailmer challenge seemed like a good game to go back to, he'd won once so why not again? Regrettably, this mindset didn't exactly lead him to another win. Despite Dutch's best efforts when he pulled his net back up, all he'd managed to catch was water. It was impressive in its own right, the boy had been almost certain the net would've dissolved by now, but it wasn't a winner. Huey received one ticket.

Huey hummed the same barely known song he'd stumbled through while in line, his hand swinging by back and forth by his side idly. He continued to hum even as he stepped up the Wheel of Fortune and waited his turn, there seemed to be a line for everything lately, before he stepped closer and gave the wheel of spin. His eyes followed the rotation of the wheel, but after becoming dizzy quickly decided to just wait to see how many tickets he won after it'd stopped. Seven to be exact.

Maybe it hinted towards a bit of a problem, but he kept thinking back towards the cotton candy he'd had earlier. He'd already thrown his trash away and wiped away any remains of the pink fluff from his fingers and face, but now he wanted another one. Maybe Andrew had been right when he said he needed to slow down on all his sweet consumptions. With a sigh the boy decided to forgo buying another treat, at least for now. Instead, he turned his attention to the arcade game he'd stumbled upon, started it up and smashed, clacked and thumped the many buttons that decorated the surface of the game. His 'skills' won him seven tickets which, considering his previous efforts at any sort of electronic game, was quite the feat.

Natalia shook her head as Aiden apologized fro dragging her towards the stand. "N-no, it's fine... They were cute, and friendly, really...! I understand what you were trying to do, it's just...." Well it wasn't like she could really explain to him. She could only imagine how well that would go over. Oh yes! I'm secretly an ex assassin! If I get near kids and something goes wrong, I'm afraid I might accidentally kill one of them! Natalia sighed and shut her eyes irritably. At least he wasn't pressing the issue, but she still felt ridiculous. The once fearless agent Vesper, getting shaken up by being near two cute twins running a lemonade shop. How pathetic. Jet and Ezio were right, she was nothing like her former self. She had changed, and while that was a good thing in most cases, it also meant that if she needed to protect herself and others, she had lost her touch.
Aiden suggested they head to cape brink now that they had their lemonade, and Natalia nodded in agreement. "Right, to see the cape and that woman.... Did you want to have her teach Aria something?" Natalia inquired, recalling that Aiden had mentioned that the woman only taught final evolutions of starters moves. Samoa was still a Croconaw, Nikolai and Blaze were still only second stage as well. She had Ishmael, but she had other plans for him. The ultimate elemental techniques were powerful for sure, but they came at a price, one Natalia wasn't sure was worth paying.
They made their way up the path towards the cape, and as they drew closer, Natalia began to hear music and cheering. "Sounds like there's a party going on over there! Think we have time for a dance?" Natalia offered with a chuckle. She was still wary of the crowd, but she wanted Aiden to enjoy their time together rather than bringing him down with all of her odd mannerisms. The music continued to grow louder, there was singing and a sectioned off portion of people dancing. Some people were even dancing with Pokemon, like one girl with a Feraligatr, which was pretty amusing to watch. There was another girl nearby too, who was dancing with an arcanine, which was pretty impressive, though.... Now that she looked closer, it seemed the Arcanine was stuffed. That explained a few things.

Natalia looked at the blonde girl holding the Arcanine and froze as she realized the girl was staring right back at her. "Aiden..... Ch-change of plans...." Natalia said stiffly, taking a step back as Isis handed her stuffed Arcanine to a dark haired male nearby and started moving her way towards Natalia. "We need to go...!" Natalia said tensely, turning and making a run for it back towards the docks. She had no idea Isis would be here, but all things considered Natalia shouldn't have been surprised. Tanabata was a large event with many people, it just seemed sheer bad luck that Natalia had managed to see Isis, and that the blonde had seen her.

✿ ❀ Isis had to snort at the idea of Leon dancing during his shift out on the beach, probably with Kai. "Arceus, you really are a dork." Isis was cracking up, though she had to admit his dance practice was paying off now. The dance soon came to an end though, and while she clapped along with everyone else for the band, she overheard an argument between Dumuzi and Theo. She couldn't help but move to intercept, because she certainly didn't like any of the things Theo was saying, because not only were they mostly inaccurate and wrong, but they were also being taken out on Dumuzi when they really should have been said to Leon and Isis.
Isis gave Theo quite the earful after that, and she wasn't the only one to feel this way, but Leon, Kai, and Dumuzi all seemed to agree as well. Isis had to pause a moment however when Theo insisted with surprise that Dumuzi was a boy, not a girl. "Huh? But She.... I mean He.... Really?" Isis turned slightly towards Dumuzi in surprise. Isis and Leon had been treating Dumuzi like a little girl ever since they'd met him, but Dumuzi never seemed to object. Maybe he liked it? Isis honestly didn't mind either way, this wasn't the first time Isis had interacted with an effeminate male, or the other way around. The coordinating world was filled with people who broke gender roles and brave young souls searching for who they wanted to be, but Isis shook her head and waved her arms dismissively. That was a whole other basket of eggs, Isis would get through this one first. "I-- you know... Whatever! That has nothing to do with this! It doesn't matter, girl, boy, black, blue, purple, or pokemon! You still had no right to yell at Dumuzi." Isis insisted firmly. No one deserved to be treated badly for someone else's shortcomings. That was the point here, and Isis wasn't going to be deterred from that. "Okay, so all of it was advice, if you take that really broad terminology of what you can classify as advice, but if you're going to think of it like that, apply it to everything Theo. You want to get through this journey without help from anyone else? Okay, why don't you just forget the knowledge that you gained from all those books you've read, because someone else wrote them. That Fenniken that you got as a starter was given to you by a professor, so you'd have to get rid of her too, because otherwise that means you've accepted help from the professor. As a matter of fact, you should probably get rid of all your pokemon because they're helping you too. Every single pokemon you had them fight was experience for them and you, so you can't fight other pokemon because then they'd be helping you grow stronger. Same as any trainer who you battle, which includes Gym Leaders. It doesn't matter if they challenge you or you challenge them, battling them still gives you experience. Gym leaders will reward you badges to help your pokemon obey you, as well as TMs and HMs, so you would have to refuse all of that if you truly wanted to make it completely on your own." Isis listed off each item on her fingers as she explained.
Finally, there was a pause, and Isis looked at Theo with a frown. "Do you see now? I would think that'd make it pretty hard to become a trainer all on your own with no one else's help if you had no pokemon, no books, no trainers, and no gym leaders. You learn your knowledge by experiencing things with other people and pokemon. The entire world is connected to the rest of the world in some way if you look hard enough. I'm being a bit extreme in the definition of help, sure, but you're being a bit extreme in the definition of advice. I can understand not wanting to be lectured with every move you make, that's fine, but you're taking things way too far, blowing up at Dumuzi for a few questions, two suggestions, and an offer of a battle from me and Leon." Isis explained calmly.
She was glad that he at least admitted he appreciated her offer of a battle, but at the time he seemed more angry about it than anything else. He even tried to take the position that battles weren't fun, and while she understood that position, if he truly believed that then he wouldn't be training for the gym challenges, he'd be coordinating like Du, or training to become a pokemon ranger, or finding something else quieter and appealing to him. She wasn't aware that he didn't really have that choice though, and before he could speak up, it was Dumuzi's turn to talk, and hearing her side made Isis feel even more justified for reprimanding Theo earlier. She had no idea that Dumuzi had been feeling so horribly when traveling with Theo. Not only that, but Dumuzi also mentioned that Theo had said collecting only fairy types on her team was stupid. Isis tensed. He did what?! In spite of her anger, she reigned it in to allow Dumuzi to keep talking, surprised that in spite of how she felt, she had given Theo a chance, tried to get to know him, but he still never really seemed to want to get to know her. Now though, after experiencing that he'd acted the same way upon meeting Isis and Leon, she felt differently, that the problem was his, not Dumuzi's.
After that, Dumuzi pretty much effectively broke up with Theo, insisting that she didn't want to be around negativity when she was trying to make positive in her life. She wished him luck on his journey, but it was over, and she didn't want to travel with him any more. Theo tried to apologize and explain, insisting he was angry because he didn't know what to do or say, that he was uncomfortable and overwhelmed. But from what? Just interacting with people? This poor kid must have had quite a sheltered life... At least he admitted that his lack of knowledge was no one's fault but his own. That was a step in the right direction towards an apology. It was sad that Dumuzi was the closest thing he had to a friend for someone Theo's age. Scratching her earlier thoughts, Isis made a mental edit. Theo must have had a very, VERY sheltered life then. And if Dumuzi was the closest thing he had to a friend, then who was the other older gentleman following Theo around? A parent? Isis didn't think so, or at least she hoped not.
When Dumuzi asked Kai for a dance, Isis moved over to the gator, taking her Arcanine plush from him and offering to take Dumuzi's Diancie plush as well so they would both be able to have their arms free. After that she moved back to Theo and handed Leon the Diancie plush. Theo looked to Isis and Leon afterwards, acknowledging that it was probably a bit too late to start over from introductions, but he wanted to try anyways. "You... Haven't had many experiences with people have you?" Isis said softly, looking over Theo with a bit of pity. "You remind me of someone.... Someone who didn't know how to socialize, and the more she didn't understand, the more angry she got, but she bottled it all up inside and lashed out at anyone trying to help her..... Even me, her best friend. It hurt me so much to see her like that, but I never tried to talk to her about it, and before I could, she disappeared. So I'm sorry if I'm talking to much. Maybe I'm trying to make up what I lacked back then for trying to talk a lot of sense into you." Isis sighed. "I'd like to start over, put it all behind us, but it's not that easy. The things you say and do have an impact on other people, good or bad, it stays with them. Right now, I think I just need some time to think, and--" Isis would have continued, but as she was looking down the path leading up to the cape, Isis saw her.
She froze, staring. she looked so different and yet so familiar, and the way she was staring back in recognition only confirmed Isis suspicions. Quickly, Isis gave her Arcanine plush to Leon and bolted after the brunette, jumping over the lanterns that outlined the stage. Natalia in turn grabbed her male blonde companion and took off in the other direction. "Natalia!!!! Natalia wait!!!" Isis cried out, but it was a lot harder to move fast in a Yukata. The cloth around her legs as so tight that she couldn't spread her legs more than a foot or two apart, and the sudden movement in the unfamiliar garb sent Isis tripping and falling flat on her face into a grassy patch a little ways away from the dance floor. "Hrk..... Owwww....." Isis groaned, attempting to get back up, which, again was hard in something that didn't exactly let her take a knee. She flopped a few times like a squirtle on it's back before finally giving up and laying still, staring up at the finally darkened sky with a defeated look on her face. Still, after all these years, Natalia was running from her. Why...? ✿ ❀
