I don't say they can't exist, but as there is nothing to conclusively prove that they do I just don't spare any thoughts for them. I'll say I want to believe.
I think there's a lot more to suggest that we should be more concerned with aliens.

It's funny you should mention that. My theory about ghosts is actually an alien conspiracy. As we believe that ghosts have the ability to phase through matter, cloak them selves, and move objects. An alien would be able to use these manipulations to detour us away from finding out the truth that it's them, and not the fallen of our own. Hear me out. If they wanted to spy on us and see how we were to react to such things, it would be better to disguise themselves and pose as something else. A being capable of elongated space travel could have the technology to mimic the capabilities of ghosts. Testing our fears of the unknown. Now this is just a theory! However think of the number of beings that have died throughout time, yet the number of ghost stories comes no where close to it. I'm sure most people could agree that this holds water.

Im not going to draw my own beliefs into the argument. Haha you can ask the others, I tend to kill the conversation when I get into it. I do want to say your ideas are credible. Yet all because there isn't a ghost for everyone who died, the mythology usually says ghosts are people with unfinshed byisness that is powerful enough to keep them here. Or that they simply refuse to move on.
I work at an old folks home. People die here often. And in the altzheimers wing, people are so detached from reality that it is scary. Those people, with such jumbled emotions and confusion. Who says that clarity will come with death? Who says dementia doesn't scar the soul?
There is not a single person who works here who doesn't belive ib ghosts. Working here at night by yourself... well. Its interesting to say the least.
That argument doesn't include my theories, but gives a different oppinion that I can debate the side of haha.
I think I am going to do a throwback to the forts roleplay I ever created. Should be intense.

Ghost...Lol i belive in them spirits whatever you wanna call them Lol
Im latina, and usually latinos are very supersticious. In Puerto Rico The mafia people or gangsters that are there are extreamly supersticious,People often have a Santera or Santero to talk to and ask questions.
I myself have gone to these as i was younger, to have my fortune read with diffrent things. Like Tarot,Shells, eggs and even coffee once Lol
Over in my island people belive in ghost...maybe not the new generations but People 18 and over do.
I personally belive in Ghosts and spirits, roaming souls, because i was born and raised into the culture.I have also had my own experiences in wich i have witnessed strange things and aparitions...But well now im talking too much and not getting to my point. I think people originaly belive in ghosts because of culture or influences of other people or even movies...Who here hasent watched a scary movie and at night hears a bump in their room?

Well I will just have a conversation with myself then haha.
So jesse, if time is waves as is the universe, if one were to focus on the voidal incarnate and squished oneself into the void and desired to travel in a straight line, when they popped out, would the jumble that is reality make the return a random event? Would it even be possible to calculate where one would end up?

The fact that you people believe in ghosts just for the hell of it makes me sad. You accept this without solid, absolute proof. Come on guys, you're all more reasonable than that. neutral
Also, it's very possible to calculate where you'd end up if time is sinusoidal waves. Kind of easy actually. Rest assured, Jesse, you would not be completely lost. c: Unless of course the waves aren't sinusoidal and have no particular pattern, then you're ********.

Well jesse. First of all the void does not exist. It is an intangible impossibilty and even putting a name to it is an oversimplification. If one was able to focus enough energy to carve a mental path to the void. Anything could happen. Either your mind would expand with all possiblites ever possible for the mind to concieve... or just enough to cover what the nothingness tainted. Or. Maybe one could spearheadthemselves into the void. Butas it doesn't exist. There you don't exist and would be forced out. It is the all encompassing incomprehensible balance to reality. It does not exist. It cannot. Travelling through it would be catastrophic. Or it just wouldn't happen.?as the idea in itself is logically impossible.

Well, for the sake of good ol fashion debate emily, I could say plot is sad that your life needs definite proof. And even sadder that you accept these proofs. There is no proof that you exist. Sure you think you do. Or you say you do. But you could be a product of anothers dream. Or we could all be your dream when really you are a giant frog creature in a world where there is only purple. You like to think that everything is real. But it could all be a lie. All your thoughts and memories could have been emplaned in you a second ago fir some momentary purpose for a greater plain of reality. It makes no difference. But denial because there is no proof is absurd. There is no such thing as proof

There is such thing as proof, actually.
3/3 = 1 1/3 = .333(repeating) 1 = 3(1/3) = 3(.333(repeating)) = .999(repeating)
I just proved that .999999999... is equal to 1.

I like you emily. We shall have many debates to come. I am at work right now so I cannot bring out a rebuttle for logically proving that you have no proof that what you said is true. Just know that I belive that atheists are just as stubborn and close-minded as christians. And I really hate christianity as a religion. I am a man of logic and formula. I just can't get into it right now, I can tonight. But only if you want me to.
For now. More lighteheartedness

You guys are making my brain hurt... but in a good way... I'm just a bit too simple of a chick to understand what the eff you guys are talking bout.
I thought I saw a ghost once when I was ten, but I had more imagination than my mom thought was good for me so it could have just been in my head. The only thing I know for sure it that the brownies I just made are delicious.
