((Back to the role-play!
Man, this place has really slowed down. We need to speed it up again.
Time skip! It's been a few hours.))
When Smallstar had finished his rabbit, he got up and walked out of his den. He supposed he should go check on Dragoneyes and see if she was getting any better. He turned and walked into the medicine den.

((yes i agree Kei. Don't evaluations usually end at the end of the day? sundown? shall we say it's about that time then?))
Lightpaw glanced at the snowy sky. She couldn't see the sun but she could tell that it was getting to be just about sundown. Without another thought she picked up the plump mouse she had just killed and carried it in her jaws to the other spots she had marked where her buried prey lay. She was sure she had caught more than she ever had in her whole apprenticeship today and she knew that her evaluation was something she didn't have to worry about. She was more worried about the clan eating. This might be the last prey that would be caught for a long time. When would they be able to hunt again? The snow was still coming down. A little lighter now but still snowing. It hadn't stopped since it had started. She shivered
Lightpaw found her first stone and dug a while until she found a rabbit and a mouse buried underneath. She would have to stuff all of them in her mouth to carry back and she knew she had more, she'd have to be quick if she wanted to find her other markers before they were hidden by snow. She picked them up and carried them as best she could heading back to camp.

(And Lily ish here!)
Appletail mewed, "You did great, Lightpaw!" He truly meant the words, but they sounded hollow to him. He was thinking about the pretty she-cat he had seen, and thought in his mind, I have to see her again...perhaps we'll meet again... He padded back to camp, and up to Smallstar. "She did great. Caught more prey than she ever did before." He dipped his head in respect.
Lightface's ears flicked, and yawned tiredly.

Brackenfur yawned, officially bored with watching the apprentice go through an evaluation. He glanced down at the two rabbits he caught will waiting for Lightpaw and Appletail to finish, and lifted them both in his jaws. He caught glance of Appletail and noted with a flick of his tail that he was going back to camp. Without waiting for a response he padded off. Then suddenly a strange scent caught his nose. It smelt like some type of sickness. Cold? he thought, and wondered which one of his clanmates had fallen ill. When he entered camp, the smell was overpowering. He dropped his prey on the fresh-kill pile and lifted his nose to smell the air. With the sudden realization of who was the cause of this sick smell, his eyes widened with shock. "Dragoneyes," he whispered, and dashed towards the medicine cats den. "Lightface," he mewed, pushing his way in to see Dragoneyes. "Is she sick?" he asked.

Lightface mewed, "Brackenfur! Out out out!" She hissed. "Or do you want to catch the chills like Dragoneyes? I won't have WindClan's warriors all sick with the chills." She pushed Brackenfur out, seeming rough but only worrying. She mewed to Dragoneyes gently, "Feeling any better?"
Appletail sat at the edge of the warrior's den, his eyes glazed over. That pretty she-cat..it was like a tick in his pelt, but not hurting. He liked it, and wanted to meet her again. But when...when!?

Lightpaw was surprised to see Appletail come out of nowhere. But surprise quickly turned to dim gratitude as he praised her. She simply nodded in response. She noticed that his thoughts were far away. But she didn't prod him. It wasn't her business. She carried on into the camp and dropped her fresh-kill. The sun was setting now and it was still snowing. She'd have to sprint to make it back with even half of the fresh kill that was still buried in the forest. She didn't even look up as she rushed back out of the camp entrance and began to run towards the closest stash she had stored.

Smallstar nodded gratefully and went over to his apprentice. "I hear you did well!" he said happily, and gave her a friendly lick on the head. "Go eat, and then rest."

Sandpaw warily opened his eyes to see another cat in with him, but she was farther away. He sighed sadly. When would he get to see his friends and mentor again? Plus he missed eating fish.

Dragoneyes opened her eyes slowly, and after a few seconds they focused on Lightface. "A little better...." Dragoneyes rasped, unable to meox any louder than a whisper. "Hazelpaw needs to be trained...." she muttered. Dragoneyes narrowed her eyes at Brackenfur's form.
"Brackenfur, tell Hazelpaw that I'll get better soon and then we'll train for a very long time." Dragoneyes nodded slowly, then put her head back down on the floor of the den. Hazelpaw was her appretnice after all, and she needed to train her. But she couldn't do that while she was sick. Deciding to put all of her energy in getting better, Dragoneyes closed her eyes and fell back asleep, slowly healing.

Brackenfur's pelt bristled at Lightface's sudden harsh reactions, but he didn't argue. Before officially leaving, he stopped to look at Dragoneyes and nodded. "I'll make sure she gets the message." he mewed with a smile. He padded over to the apprentice and nudged her with his paw. "Dragoneyes will be fine. But she told me to tell you that once she gets better you will train for a long time." he informed.
Hazelpaw nodded, settling down in the apprentice den. Resting her head on her paws, eyelids growing heavy, she drifted into a peaceful sleep.

Lightface smiled. "Good." She curled up, looking at Sandpaw for a minute, and chuckled. "You must be sick of rabbits by now. Too bad the river doesn't run in WindClan territory." She yawned, looking at Dragoneyes and Sandpaw once, then falling asleep.

Sandpaw was too bored to reply. Instead, he just sat and stared at Dragoneyes back.

Lightpaw purred at her mentor's praise. She was heading out for her third trip. She was starving and her mouth watered at the words 'fresh-kill' but she had to go get some more of the prey she had caught. She thought it such a waste to leave it out to be crow's food. The sun was very low now. It would be dark before she left the camp. And she knew it was not wise to go out in the dark especially when there was snow. She sighed internally and turned back around before she reached the entrance to the camp. Perhaps the snow would keep it fresh till tomorow. She bounded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked a rabbit from the bottom of the pile. She took it over to the apprentice's den and poked her head inside. Hazelpaw was sleeping. She sighed again but her mood was uplifted when she looked back out and noticed the snow had stopped. She settled down outside the apprentice's den to eat.

Smallstar padded up to Lightpaw. "I'll get the rest of your fresh kill," he said quietly to her. "You probably want to sleep."
