English is the language to know in the business world. It has, quite simply, become the Greek of Jesus's time. In other words, the language of money and economics. Japanese is important as well... I'm learning Mandarin because, well, it will be nice to know when I move to Taiwan or China. biggrin Your father is just trying to preserve his (and your) heritage I think. The Greek civilization is slowly dying out (to my knowledge anyway) and a lot of families want to preserve what little culture they have left. It's actually kind of sad, at least to me. Your father's intentions are good, but if you do not want to commit to it, there's not much he can do about it. (I don't want you to feel guilty, just offering my view on things biggrin )

You ever see "my big fat greek wedding"? my life is like that, except i still go to greek school!!!!! scream

Btw...if any of you go to greece for the olympics....i herd they rounded up 10 thousand stray dogs or sumthing......that means dont buy any gyros!!! there is no telling what meat they use for that anymore....

And a few of my good friends are of french descent. So I have nothing against them currently. Just the general idiots over there.

And i guess.....you can find better restaurants in northern greece though....in this place called Halkidiki, best octopus in the world.
