It didn't, but ...what other choice did he have ...as his ears flatten against his skull and he would start to walk after her. His tail flicking from one side to another in his annoyance with this entire situations. Though what other choice did he have ....he had to of course ..continue onwards.
Hap was definitely not happy.
WHITE FIRE The Center of the Island, a place where ice and fire combine to make a very strange and unique mixture. It is here that fire types reign supreme and where the occasional ice type can be found cowering away from the heat of it all. Here a volcano spew it's fire into the sky as the coolness of the snow tries to quickly curb the heat that threat to spill over from this place and consume the rest of the islands. Thanks to the volcano here ....this place actually has quite a few hotsprings if one is luck enough to stumble across one ...it can actually help rejuvenate a pokemon. Mia rolled her eyes at the Pokemon. She hoped that one day they could be friends, but she knew that day would take a long time to arrive.
After a few steps, the air got smokey and the ground gradually got whiter until she couldn't see dirt and grass anywhere. Snow? Seriously? Ever since she began her adventure on this island, she had to go through a burning hot desert, a cool rainy forest and now an area that involved snow? It didn't take too long to discover where the smoke was coming from. After a few minutes walking through the snowy lands, Mia discovered the volcano. She trekked on in the snow, being careful of not getting too close to any lava.

The little Azurill was right behind her ...as he went from his humid if not rainy forest to the blistering cold of the mountain trek. They were heading upwards, and the higher up they got the colder it would become as the small flurries of snow would actually fall to the ground in puff flakes.
Things were getting quite interesting indeed.

It was as though she wasn't even wearing her thin sweater. She was shivering uncontrollably. She had never been this cold nor had she ever seen this much snow in her entire life.
"I know I promised that you could stay out of your Pokeball, but it would be a lot warmer in there then out here..." She said, proposing to call the small blue Pokemon back to his pokeball were he'd be decently warm.

The look the Azurill gave her said it all ...complete and utter detest of that entire ideal. His tail wagging backwards ....as he walks faster to try and walk pass her and that accursed pokeball.
If it wasn't for it ....he would be back where he was before. He would be enjoying the leaves and the rain, and enjoy the warmth of the day ...instead of freezing his tail off as he starts to hop as the snow grew thicker.

"Could you possibly be any more difficult?!" This Pokemon's anger towards her was getting frustrating. The snow was progessively growing thicker and was getting a lot harder to walk in it. Her sneakers were soaked, her legs were freezing and she had to deal with this hateful little critter.
"You wouldn't have to hop around and freeze if you'd let me hold you... But I suppose that one out of the question also?"
Soon, she would have to start thinking about maybe returning to the academy.

It was definitely a thought as the Azurill turned and stuck his tongue out. There was no way he was going to demean himself any more by allowing that girl to carry him ....as he turns his back and continued to hop along as well.
The snow was growing increasingly deep ....as it would get to the point where he would take one jump and actually disappear into the midst of the snow with that leap. The snow having gone up over his head ....as he jumps up and out of the hole and down into a another.
This was going to quickly become more than he could handle, but for now it worked, and that was good enough for him.

"Fine then, have it your way," she said, rolling her eyes once more at Hapi. "But let me know if you need me to carry you... This snow is quickly getting a lot deeper. In fact, maybe we should turn around..." She didn't really want to turn back now, but she would eventually have to return to the academy and she would rather return alive.

It was definitely snowing harder as the pokemon looks over at her and glares even harder. He wouldn't ask for her help if his life depended on it ...and as the snow grew thicker that become more and more of a distinct possibility ...as he found it harder and harder to jump from one hole to the next. His body being covered by snow, or his jumps weren't nearly as far as what they had been before. This place was slowly turning into a winter nightmare for him.
[Loveball = Reduces the capture roll by 3 if the pokemon is a different gender than the one it's battling]

Continuing in this storm was pointless. She was only putting her life and her Pokemon's life in danger by going on. So Mia picked up Hapi, and held on tight to him, trying to keep him warm. She didn't care if he was going to put up a fight about this, she wasn't going to let her Pokemon freeze to death. She turned around and walked away, trying to think of how on earth she was going to make it back to the academy.

The question of how she would get back was a fair off problem ...as Hapi started to struggle the moment she picked him up. The snow continued to fall, and it howled now as it seemed to pick up in force. The winds suddenly grew much stronger and seemed to threaten to pick her up off her feet ....as the temperature seemed to drop suddenly ...as a snow storm would pick up suddenly.
Though, she wouldn't be bit by the cold like the thought ....or like one would expect in such a situations ...as a blue wisp of a flame would appear not far from her face.
It provided warmth for a moment before it would move away and threaten to take it's heat from her. A guiding light in the snow perhaps as it would quickly retreat from her face ....a dull bluish light ...as a soft whisper barely audible seem to beckon her to follow it.

Just as she thought, Hapi was not happy about being carried and his struggle make it harder for Mia to hold on. Snow falling, wind picking up... Mia was suddenly worried for her life. She was stranded in this snow storm, alone with her Pokemon, not knowing how she would ever get off this island.
In the midst of panic, Mia felt the warmth. It was like a rush inside of her telling her to follow this flame at all cost. It was then she heard the soft whispering. She needed to follow this bluish light... This light was the source of the heat and without that heat, she would be in danger. Her life depended on it.

Though the Blue light made a point of turn her around ...away from the edge of the terrain, and closer towards the heart of it. The snow grew fearsome ...and the winds grew worst, and then to top things off ....hail would start to fall.
It was a really bad time to be out, and the little blue flame laughed at it ....as it took her deeper and deeper making sure that by the time she realized what had happen she would find it impossible to turn around and even more impossible to find her way out.
The way to it's lair was close.

Soon enough, all Mia could see were curtains of white. Everything around her was white. It was then that she realized that this little light wasn't trying to help her, it had tricked her. She had been deceived. But she had let it guide her for so long... She was probably too far in to get out. Well, she was going to at least put up a fight.
"I know it's hard to see anything, and I have no idea how we're going to make it out of here alive, but how do you feel about battling?" She asked Hapi, setting him on the snowy ground but not completely letting go, afraid that the wind might blow him away.

Hapi's ears flapped helplessly as he was placed on the snow and quite promptly sunk down into it. Vanishing as his tail would actually be the only thing to see .....because of how light it was compared to the rest of the pokmeon's body.
Though that wasn't the end for him as he bounces uses his tail to help arch his body out of the snow before he would disappear into the next. Though in that brief moment his eyes would lock with Mia.
Fights were what he lived for, and he would take on any pokemon ....even under her command.
Though just when things did seem lost ...the light would suddenly blare out brighter ...bright enough to see that there was a cavern near it. That the pokemon though it seemed to have trick had brought them to a safe place afterall ....though she might change her opinion if she went inside.
There against the wall were two siblings Tepig. A brother and sister ...one beyond help, and the other on the verge ...as their bodies both were grey instead of the hot orange or reddish color that they would be normally.
The flickering light had brought them to it's den, and to where it often fed on foolish victims whom dared to follow it into the snow.
