Have fun at Fanime too!

So I had a blast at Fanime, yay! I posted pics to facebook earlier. I didn't get too many, but I did get some. So Dsay had two costumes planned, she went as a little sister from Bioshock 2, and was going to go as Aeris but wound up not doing that one. The only panel I managed to go to was Anime and Manga for Grownups, which was cool because he talked about one of my favorites, Silent Mobius. First day there though, someone who was with the press asked if he could take a pic of my FMA tattoo so he could show it to the director of Fullmetal Alchemist as he was going to be interviewing him. It totally made my day! Scored two sweet shirts there, one that is a spoof of a movie rating, it says G-Girl Gamer: May not be suitable for you or other dudes, and says PG-Pure Gamer: May not be suitable for you or other noobs, lol. There were a ton more cosplayers that were awesome than I happened to get pics of, but I got as many as I could hehe. Next year I want to crossplay as Professor Stein from Soul Eater. Someday I'll be able to put together Suitengu's outfit too, but that will be more complicated. I'll add more later, I'm just tired at the moment but wanted to share some stories, hehe.

It does sound like you had a great time. I was trying to help my friend Cat with a costume for Colossalcon but my machine broke. sad cry crying . She is going to look good anyway.

No sewing for me, so I am knitting like crazy!!!. In another 12 rows or so I get to start the weighted Companion pattern on Cat Like Thief's sweater. Its almost half done and I am getting ready to start the interesting part. I like projects where you do the boring part first. Have I told you all my new idea? , but NOT this year. I am spending the summer getting all my Yule gifts done. That way when the cold weather starts I can work on a Goddess afghan that I have been working on for two years! I spend all the afghan weather working on smaller things for gifts. So Far I have 2 pair of socks started, and all the gifts picked out, with most of the patterns decided on. It took much longer than I thought. So once I have Cat's sweater done, its all Yule gifts for me. I am very excited to get back to my Rainbow Goddess Afghan and proud of me for being this organized so that I can actually do it!!!!!!!!!! Yay Me.

@Caustic: I've been designing bags for tarot cards and dice and what have you, so I've been sewing a lot more than usual lately. I just have to finish them up and thread a drawstring through and they'll be ready. I'm hoping to give some away and see how they hold up to every day wear and tear so I can sell them eventually. *crosses fingers*

@Love to Paint: That's a good idea! I started on some Christmas gifts for my Gramma early this year, I'm making a whole bunch of dishcloths for her, so I want time to get them all done, hehe. Hope your plan works out!

The material was a pack of ten by ten squares sold at Walmart. One square makes one bag. I also got a pack of fat quarters which produce three bags that are slightly larger and three sachets apiece. The tarot deck is the Deviant Moon tarot, which has become my favorite. The only thing with this bag is it's not big enough to hold the reading cloth too, which is just a square of muslin. That I have to carry separately.

Wow, entervixen the bag looks gorgeous (and the design on the tarot cards is really quite pretty too)! The fibre colours are really quite vibrant, and they look so soft! ^^ Nice of them to give you a little gift too.
