Kingsley felt himself yanked back from that cold, dark, space and gasped like he was breaking to the surface of a unforgiving sea. He grasped his chest, flat on his back in the sand, and then coughed, sitting up to check his own arm.

He already had a series of black tattoos, nice ones, but they'd been pushed aside by a dark centipede, that was curled up on his arm like it lived there.

"Uh, sup, Bropede tat," he addressed it nervously. His ears were ringing, the beach sand (they were on a beach, right?) was scorching, and there was a lot of blood. The guy whose hand he'd shook before everything went dark was bleeding, and his hand was gone. The girl in front of him, who looked pretty young, was crying and and asking for a belt to patch it, and the other girl from before was crying too.

"W-woah." He wasn't sure what to do with so much crying, and bleeding, and also there were still centipedes everywhere.

"Yo, girl, everything's going to be okay. Hold on, old man!" Kingsley stood, about to whip off about one of the five belts he was wearing (it had a golden panther head for a buckle). Fortunately, none of these belts were being used to hold up Kingsley's pants and Ro had a belt on in the first place.

Instead, he knelt next to Tyra and Lin, putting one hand on each of their shoulders.

"That's not for like, lady eyes, okay?" Even though Cami was also a girl. "Just focus on the handsomeness."

Gale was not about to let Stormy be out of his sight, or the new Death trainee that he was trying to keep track off. It wasn't the most ideal place for meeting and greeting, but being thrown into the Sahara right off the bat was not something so easily handled, especially for people who weren't used to it.

Even after all this time, Gale wasn't sure that he was used to it.

The quiet, pained voice of someone beside him made him turn his head; a Moon hunter was on the ground, blood leaking from his fingers where his hand was pressed against his stomach. Gale half moved towards him - and Kara's scythe came swinging down, colliding with the hunter's side. He gave a moan of pain, Gale whipping around, eyes wide and stunned.

"Stop! What the bloody hell are you doing?" he demanded, pushing himself between Kara and the man, one hand held outstretched. He glanced sideways at Stormy, his heart in his throat. "Can't you see he's hurt?"

Terry wondered why Kim had yet to drag him away, and when he looked he saw why. Thankful he had yet to dismiss Agata (although given where they were, doing so would have been a fatally stupid move) so he rushed over to try and rescue the sun hunter.

Mob: 8/10

This was not at all funny. Or amusing. Or interesting in a fun way. So many animes and games made fights like these seem to end in a couple of strokes of flashing lines. Or was that sort of thing only applicable if you were the protag of the anime?

Slice of nothing happens shows might have a fantasy episode but those weren't very helpful either. Damn, all Terry could do was repeatedly bash Agata against the mobs enough times to hopefully free Kim.

Boss: 1/10

"Kim, there a reason you're not doing anything to free yourself?" Terry demanded, trying not to sound like he was whining. With a frustrated stomp, Terry's foot crunched down. Hopefully that was enough to enable Kim to move on her own?

Mob: DEAD

Kim reacted to Terry's question, with a low whimpering sound and a lovely twitch of pain. The darn thing had cut her in several places, and the poison was not fun feeling.

Kim rolled her eyes to look at Terry and barely managed to whisper. "P-ain..." Sustinct answer...

Tears were cleared by the incredibly odd belt thrust into her vision, a warm hand on her shoulder. Dimly she was aware of Rohim - no, Roland - asking her where the belt needed to go. Drawing strength from everyone around her she looked at her rapidly-becoming-useless coat and thought about going to the doctor. Where did they always put that blood cuff thingy?

Biting her lip she spoke to Roland. "Upper arm, right above his elbow. Make it as tight as you can but try not to break his arm. Or the belt. Once we get that I can do something with...this..." She was only wearing one shirt today so the coat was all she had to offer. Maybe she could steal a shirt from the boys? Or perhaps Lawr's own clothing could be used to stem his wound.

Then she could do what she knew Caroline wanted her to and walk away. Go somewhere safe. Anywhere but where she was right now. They would have to have a very, very long talk when they got home. If they got home.

Lunaire watched as a few other hunters jumped in, now it was a proper boss fight. A whole party ganging up on the big bad. Though she had to wonder how much HP did she or the boss have? She glanced at her weapon, the red runes where glowing, but not nearly bright enough for a Limit Break again.

Distantly she remembered two people telling her this wasn't a game, one of them being her sister. She rolled her eyes a bit at this. It had to be, there was no way any of this was actually happening.

To prove her point she sprinted at the beast again raising her weapon as Lei let out a startled gasp. << Lunaire do not do th- >>

His words where cut off a moment later after Lunaire's attack hit the giant bug, the creature scurrying in a circle suddenly lashing its tail end at her sending her pinwheeling into the air. Her own thoughts where suddenly very confused, why did she hurt so much suddenly? Why was the sky and the ground spinning so quickly?

She didn't have much longer to dwell on this as she smashed into the soft tip of a sand dune like a stone skipping on water into the side of another one before the world went black.
