Shira wondered before her thoughts went to a hault after seeing Eric fall injured. "Crap..." she muttered as she stood next to Dara. Her eyes grew wide as Atticus began talking to Scarlet "Atticus..." she started but then stopped. What would that mean if Atticus' life was now Scarlet's. She prepared to move in despite knowing she couldn't do much. "Please don't..." she said quietly when Scarlet said he should cut his throat. •••◆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◆

He would hear Dara's voice in his head, thanking him for doing this. "Even though I don't want to admit, I've grown attached to you all, so there is no need for thanking me, I am doing this for my friend and your precious loved one." he said to her, while he would catch Mirai screaming at him, telling him not to do it. Looking over towards Mirai, Atticus smiled, "Sorry" he he thought to her, using her telepathy hopefully she had heard him. However, Atticus would assume his same position as before and listened to Scarlet. She really enjoyed seeing him grovel and beg for the life of another. "Yes, if it is to spare the life of a friend, I will do whatever it is that you ask of me. My life is no longer mines, it is yours to use and toy with as much as you want." he told her. It was now certain that Atticus had lost any shred of pride and honor he had left in him. "Scarlet, please." he muttered. ✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾

Sabrewolf123 I can't believe it's been that long!  
Dara could have broken down at this point, but she had to stay strong. She couldn't let her emotions get the better of her. "It doesn't matter that I don't have to say, I will still say it however times I think it will be needed to be said. And at that rate I'll probably be saying on my dying breath and beyond death. We all love you, not just as a friend, but as family too. So thank you." She sent a small smile his way. Dara wrapped an arm around Shira, prepared to hold her up physically as well as emotionally.
 "If you can't be number one by yourself, then surround yourself with strong friends, and be number one together."

Scarlet twirled her pistol around before holstering it. "How funny. Well, don't worry; I won't ask you to do anything that dramatic. At least I don't see myself doing something like that. I was pretty curious what was going on around here, but now that I see the kishin and Eric in two different bodies, it's pretty self-explanatory." She paused for a moment. "Say Atticus old boy, how would you like to visit your pops and work for him? Through me of course. See we've got this big party we're plannin and stuff. We need to have someone bake a cake and buy balloons and all kinds of things. What about it kiddo? You up for it? Working for a kishin is definitely something you could put on your resume and I promise you can use me as a good reference when you're looking to get hired somewhere." She waved her hand as she opened a portal. "Does it sound like a plan, "Atty"?" And I'm the punchline

He would not cry, he would at least do that one thing, but all of them there could tell that he was truly sincere in his actions and despite all of the problems he had caused them, he cared for them. "Thank you." he thought back to her. He then heard Mirai's words, "Mirai, you are nearly drained from healing me and Texas. I and the others are no match for her and I will not ask Herald for help, that is the one thing I will never do." he told her. "Don't worry, you still have Texas, Shira, Charlotte, Dara, Michi.....Michi's partner." the last part he added, not knowing her name and now regretting the fact that he never once made an attempt to get to know her. "and I am sure Divine will be there for you as well. My presence is no longer needed. Just be sure to live a long life." Atticus then mentally cut off all communications with Mirai. She would continue to try and stop him and the more she spoke, the more Atticus would be closer to crying, but his eyes would widen in shock as Scarlet did something he did not expect. Instead of ordering him to kill himself, she had given him the choice to work for Divine, but under her. He had not known about this before, it was clear that something was up. Lifting his head up, Atticus looked at the portal and then Eric, "If I refuse, Eric will be killed, won't he?" he asked, already knowing the answer to his question, in short this was not a choice for him to make. No, he pretty much had one path to take and Scarlet knew that. This would be a better alternative than killing himself, but this would make him the enemy to them all. Standing up, Atticus looked back at them all, his face having a solemn smile on it. His eyes told them everything, he was going to leave them all and become their enemy, this would be the last time they would see each other as comrades, "Farewell, my friends." he told them before walking towards Scarlet and stood in front of the portal. ✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾

Freaking again... a voice in her head snapped as she stared at him for a few more moments before looking down and moving her hat down as well to cover her face. Dara added Shira to the link so they could talk one more time. "Shira, Atticus, you can talk to each other, I won't listen." If she couldn't save Atticus right now, that doesn't mean she can't save him later. But that didn't mean she couldn't give Atticus one last present before he left.

Sighing, it was like a broken record with the two of them. He always seemed to leave her, whether it is by force or his own free will. Atticus did feel really bad about this, but he was going to go through with it, if it meant protecting Eric. After hearing Dara's words, Atticus nodded towards her and began to speak with Shira through Dara's telepathic link. "Shira, it is always like this, isn't?" he asked her with a smile, "I'm always leaving you, which I know hurts you very deeply. So, please cheer up, because this will be the last time I leave you. I do not plan on coming back. I don't want to continue this cycle any longer. If it is to free you from the curse that is known as Atticus Eternia, then I will gladly give myself to Scarlet. So this time, it will not be see you later or next time, this is goodbye, for good." he told her, almost saying that he would stay there and try not to return, because it would only continue his and Shira's fragile relationship or whatever relationship the two had shared. She could tell they must be communicating psychically, though what they were saying she did not know or particularly care. She motioned to the portal when Atticus walked over and stood by it. "In please," she told him cheerfully. "You first!" Herald watched Atticus silently, knowing that right now they didn't want to talk to one another beyond what had already been said. Texas was mostly recovered now and he pulled himself into a sitting position, looking over at Attius. "Wait...where?" He asked, having missed most of the conversation, including the psychic one. He knew that if it was anywhere with Scarlet, then it was bad. He looked over to see Eric almost dead on the ground with a hole in his chest. He put what was happening together after a few minutes. "Crap..." He growled angrily. He glared at Scarlet who gave him a smile and a friendly wave, not really knowing who he was. She looked back at Atticus, waiting for him to enter the portal. And I'm the punchline

Once Mirai finished healing Texas she ran over to Eric and knelt down next to him and began to heal him. Her eyes glowed slightly due to the amount of demonic energy she was allowing.
