Yin, Yang, do as he says.

*The two dragons drfited away into the shadows, Yoh's body glowing golden breifly as his eyes shifted to a yellow/red mix*

There are ten of them I think. They're in a small pack, all together. Big ones and smaller ones with hook blades. I sense a spellcaster also.

My dragons are part of me. I can see through their eyes when I choose to. Yang says they're closing in now. Moving faster - the spell caster must know status spells.

*Yoh stopped and his hands began to glow with orange light, a fireball forming between them*

nai could sence their approach as well. she began to chant the same spell as before, causing another heavy fog to roll in, this time staying above the treetops, masking her presance. nai's voice rang out softly in their minds
("i'll take care of the spellcaster first and then support you all from above")
she "looked" down at sadia who was staying close to rune. holding out her staff to the side she spoke softly

a soft breeze began to whirl around sadia, protecting her from some, but not all attacks

Once satisfied enough, without wasting too much time, Kenki abandoned the temporary camp site he had made from a small cave, and began the treck once more.

Moving at a more natural pace, more like a half-hearted sprint by rtegular standards he continued tracking the target.

This beast will taste my blade yet.

As he swiftly weaved between the trees, he whinced slightly alike earlier, before expressing a sense of contimplation.

"Then we'll just have to break through them."

After just a few minutes of travel, maintaining a consistant speed, he break into a clearing near a mile in diameter. On the far side of the clearing, he could make out a small group of troll like men, spread out in a search formation.

"Ten. This shouldn't slow me down too much."

He then began to build up speed, every five or so steps, stomping his feet hard into the ground, each stomp increasing his speed.

This group was similiar to the one nearing the other group, however lacking the spellcaster.

By the time Kenki had made it half way across the field, one of the demons noticed him. By sheer luck at that.

The small group brandished their weapons, daggers and short swords seeming the weapon of choice. One of the demons however held a long curled horn, and with a deep breath, sounded the instrument.

The horns bass echoed loudly for miles, as the rest of the horde rushed t'ward Kenki.

fifty paces...forty five paces...forty paces...thirty. Kenki's eyes then changed once more, and he vanished.

As Kenki dissapeared, the demon foot soldiers stopped in their tracks, confused, searching for the foe. The sound of grass folding, and soil being disturbed haunted the small perimeter about the demons, before the first suddenly fell with a shrill of agony and shock.

The nine other troll like beings all turned, and watched as the first fell to his knees, no wound visible, until a sharp click itched at their ears. It was the sound of a sword being sheathed, metal on metal. As the sound pierced the brisk air, a vague red line became visible around the demon's waist line, and the blood flooded out, as the two halves fell seperate.

The demons grew restless, and searched franticly for their foe, although they could only hear swift and quiet warnings in the grass around them.

Five of the demons had fallen now, in fewer minutes, and the last five stood close together forming a circle with their backs to eachother.

What manner of sorcery is this!

A phantom, its a reaper ghost!

As the group fell silent, they didn't even noticed Kenki, now standing sternly in the middle of their circle behind their backs, sword sheathed.

"Your filthy bodies reek of fear."

As if watching them in slow motion, Kenki stood calmly as the five turned their heads, terror etched on their expressions. The all then swung at Kenki, though not a one blade struck true.

As one of the demon's fell face first straight downward into the grass and dirt, Kenki rose above. He had used the beast's head as a jumping block, soaring near fifteen feet over head.

The trolls then watched helplessly below, as Kenki reached into his left yukata sleave, and produced from it an aged looking scroll. With a flick of his right wrist, the scroll rapidly unravled and snaked around his body like a pet serpent, flaunting old japanese kanji.

From beneath the mask he wore, his right eye flared with a golden light, anf he placed his left hand against the parchment, facing down t'ward the demons. A single character of the parchment immitated the golden glow, and Kenki whispered in audibly the character.

Time seemed to stand still for just a breif moment, as a blinding flash flooded out around the six combatants, and an ear splitting shrill like yelp cut through the forest. The amplified sound of a foxes cry.

Kenki then landed on one foot, standing on the toe of his sandle, at the end of a long arrow. With the parchment still unraveled, floating around his body, Kenki stood over a mound of countless arrows, the colour of blood just barely staining the shafts of the outer ones, and the grass around the mound.

With yet another sharp flick of his wrist, the scroll rolled itself back up in an instant, and he placed it back in his left sleave, before continueing north, not far behind the group he was tracking now.

Sadia jurked her head around sharply while she saw her first real battle up close, the most she had seen a fight was far far away from her, but now, she was watching Rune slash people with his spear. She was amazed with the power of his attacks, of couse or was more powerful than she could do with her childlike body. She looked around, she could smell and hear five others around them, different directions, and closing in fast, she knew she could fight, or was it that she wanted to fight? She looked back over at Rune and kept looking around sharply unsure about what she should do about the other five around them.

*Rune looked up and nodded. He grinned as he looked about the clearing at the dying or dead demons and then looked back away behind them*

I sensed it too. Just a suggestion and all that but... how bout we run?

*Yoh nodded his agreement, Yin and Yang returning to his shoulders. Rune turned, scooped Sadia up onto his shoulders, pulled his spear to his back with his tail and then dashed away after the Elf through the trees*

Hold on to me tight Sadia. Dont want to lose you little one.

*Deep in the Forest a woodland creature spoke*

He forgot his shadow ?
