ive got one that is kid of funny. At our annual christmas concert we have mic's that are right in front of the flutes.well one of the mic stands had bent over a little bit and noone had seemed to notice it untill we finished playing and my friend stood up and hit her head on the michrophone.she hit her head so hard that it sent a loud sqeeky noise through out the whole gym by.there where people laughing and babies crying every where!

One of my friends left their flute on the concrete after practice, and the percussion director ran over it with a 4x4 (since he rides the 4x4 everywhere during rehearsal. xd ).
The flute bent in two.
Then there was the time my band director was calling on the seniors in band so we'd all know where they were going to college.
One of my seniors that year, Robert, slept in band EVERYDAY. That day was no exception.
My band director had call his name until someone shook Robert awake, and said that he "APPLIED" to college. (this was in May)
I still laugh at it.

More percussion stuff:
J.R. was playing drumset in Jazz Band, right? He missed his cue for the solo. He said, "Crap, I messed up." Kyle was like, "IMPROV!" So he did this superspeed Sting thingy. That was when he lost control of his left stick and it went flying to the clarinets. Needless to say, if Ian hadn't been cleaning his clarinet somewhere else in the room, he'd probably have gotten brain damage. He just picked up the stick and was like, "I GOT IT!" Ms. Naumann was laughing her head off.
And the clarinet next to Ian was really pissed off that it almost hit her. She was like, ranting for ten minutes.

This is what happened not during a band/ orchestra trip but during band/ orchestra concert rehearsal.
WE were rehearsing for the parade on the Friday before memorial day. and I was playing around with my friend Sonet, who plays the flute, I was twirling a flag and I almost hit her with the flag.
Then after a rehearsal this boy named Brian was torturing me by taking my stuff then coming to me and saying, "Hey where's so-and-so?" and then I would go and look for me and then he'd show it to me and I wanted to punch him in the face. I ended up in trouble... Funny. Now... rofl not...
EDIT: this happened durring another band practice, We were marching around the neiborhood, and as you can guess, you have dead things around, Like Squirls, so we got to one, and the drums would stop, and the band and orcastrsa would all go "UHHHHHH!!!!!" and then we would be on our way, it was the same way with the horse poo... *cringes*

Wow...
I can't believe I forgot to say this...
So during JazzBand, Alex was playing the cowbell. Ms. Naumann said, "No, Alex! WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!" And she started laughing too much to conduct. Apparently there was this thing on Saturday Night Live where Will Ferrel was in a band and the guy in charge said the same thing. Then Will started being an idiot or something about it.
Now it's like a JB joke. Alex even gave her a shirt that says something really meaningful, then "WE NEED MORE COWBELL!" with a cowbell next to it.
And let's not forget the time Andreas jumped on J.R. screaming 'I LOVE YOU JR!" For a minute, Ms. Naumann got the weirdest face and was like, "Andreas? What are you doing?" We all thought Andreas was gay...again...

One day before band rehersal started, our barri-sax player was goofing around with one of his friends. I was talking with my friends and looked over just in time to see him literally fly down four sets of risers and land on the floor. Everyone cracked up laughing.
Every year, we take a trip either in province or out of province for five days. Each day we eat out at a restaraunt. And each time we tell the workers that it's our band directors birthday.
Last year, we were playing selections from Abba and before we even started playing, our drummer shouts "Wait! Wait!" and puts on this cape xD. Our graduated percussionists were the best. Luc was always late and then the one day him and our director are arguing over something. Our director asks what Luc has to say for himself and Luc was like "Nothing! I don't even know what we're arguing about!"

When i was in middle school we had a concert.well at one concert the entire trumpet section(Me included)decided to play home home on the range instead of mozart or something.We kept on goin with it even though the entire rest of the band had stopped.The percussion picked up what we were doing so they decided to go with it.Thats why the percussionistds and the trumpets always hang out together at our school.

One time during a concert, this pizza guy comes up on the stage and asks, "Who ordered pizza???" No one knows what the heck he's talking about but then one of the percussionists just payed for it and ate it. Luckily no one in the audience noticed, but all the percussionists, trumpets, trombones, and tubas were cracking up and barely played the song right... Heh, I still laugh when I think about it... It's one of those, "you gotta be there to get it" kind of things.

Farferalloie Not really sure if this is considered a repeat thread or not. But I hope not, mainly because it's specifically concert band/orchestra. Perhaps the best moment happened on a Tuesday night rehearsal, my friend managed to drop her flute off of the stage. XD She was twirling between her hands with the footjoint on the ground when she slipped, attempted to catch it with her foot, and ended up half-kicking it off of the stage. It was hillarious. She's blonde too, which just adds to the hillarity of it. speaking of stupid flute moments, during our last contest of the year, me{flute} my friend kami{clarinet} and rebecca{clerinet} were at the consession stand. we talked and talked, and by the end of the conversation, i looked up, and we were late for our last rehursel! GREAT!i yelled WE'RE LATE!kami called after me do you remember where to go?um.....great, again! where did we turn? was it a left, two rights,
uh! i can't think!so here we are, in the middle of a humungous school, late for practice, and we can't remember where we had to go. this way!we ran and ran. past a tubba, past the brass sectoin of another school... THERE YOU ARE! thank you soooo much! it was our teacher! omg, thank you! we were across the hall, at the back of an intersiction, while our room was right where he was standing. after running around the WHOLE school, (by the way, kami ran into the tubba, knockong both of them down, which was REALLY funny, since she's as shy as a mouse^_^), and the room was right across the hall! stressed me and my over active brain^_^

we were having the winter concert and i was playing the marimba and vibraphone for this 1 song, and i switched mallets and turned to the marimba. it was the end of a song and i had a solo and i dropped the mallets on the marimba, and they bounced on the notes i was supposed to play and then fell 2 the floor. i just stood there like that
--->O_O and every1 stared at me b4 bursting out in laughter. after every1 started laughing, i started laughing 2, and all the drummers gave me a high five XD

This happened when my mom was in Middle School.
The Band director was what else, directing the orchestra, and he got so mad, he actually BROKE the baton! I thought it was funny as hell! She didn't though, she played Viola. Now I play the Viola! blaugh

So most of the jazz band is waiting for the other bands to finish, so we decide to play some ultimate fisbee.
It got roofed.
We un-roofed it! xd
But then realized that we had to be on stage 30 seconds ago
Mad mad dash to the stge, but it was awesome cool

This one is kind of embarrassing. Well, at least for the girl
The flutes were extremely sharp so our director made them play individually so he could tune them. He told one of the blonde flutes that she was really sharp so she adjusted. She played again and it was still sharp. After about the 5th cycle of this, the girl finally yelled out:
"Ugh! I don't get it! I pushed in all the way and I am still sharp!"
Everybody burst into laughter and we all thought by middle school someone would know how to do this, but apparently not. She was the only non-musical prodigy in our whole flute section too.
