Dr Henry Pym DasUberGuy Dr Henry Pym DasUberGuy Except, of course, when he told people they should hate their own family and treat them like enemies if they were of a different religion..... Please give me the exact Biblical quote please? Or I'll call that one BS. Jeremiah 9: 4 - 5 Here, check out this site: http://www.creationtheory.org/BiblicalMorality/ Sorry Das but the book of Jeramiah predates Christ there fore is not one of his sayings or teachings. You might want to say that the Old Testament states that but Christ's were not that harsh. Be careful in quoting the Bible it especially when books can mean 100s of years. But according to Matthew 5: 18 - 19, Jesus supports all Old Testament laws.

But according to Matthew 5: 18 - 19, Jesus supports all Old Testament laws. But he also came to make all people his children not just the Hebrews. Once he included the Gentiles things began to change. Remember the main tenaments of Christian Faith have always been Forgiveness First. Turn the other cheek to your enemy. The Laws Jesus over rid were those of original sin, in doing so made a lot of the old laws invalid. That is why using the books that predate Christ is not a logical testament of what Christ stands for. The book of Jeramiah is particulary disturbing and does not fit well even with most of the Hebrew Teachings as well.

But according to Matthew 5: 18 - 19, Jesus supports all Old Testament laws. Actually no he actually steps aside several teachings. Eye for an Eye teachings of the Old Testament vs turn the other cheek, Love thy enemies etc. He supports the Ten Commandments but also strays away quite a bit from Laviticus. He also made Divorce harder to do (Hence Changing the old laws there as well) So that is not the case. Also remember the Gospels were point of veiws from the four main disciples of Christ.

So then why do you even include the Old Testament in the Bible if you say it doesn't even count anymore?

DasUberGuy So then why do you even include the Old Testament in the Bible if you say it doesn't even count anymore? Why do you study History in school? Its the same thing. Many of the Teachings in the old testamnet are still good.

DasUberGuy So you just pick and choose which ones you like and ignore the ones you don't like? Not at all. Read the four Gospels, actually read them not just throw 2 random quotes from two seperate books together and make a claim. Once you do that then you have a good grasp of what Christ Came down here for. The Problem I have with what you are doing, is the SAME thing I used to do and guess what I was wrong. It took a very good person to point out where I was mistaken. If you are going to quote Biblical References and claim they are what you interpet them as at least take the time to learn what the interpetation really is and what it covers. Anyone can take a quote out of text from the Bible and make it seem like it is anything they wish. Some how I get the feel that all you really want to do with this thread is Bash Christians, which is something I have a problem with. I refuse to BASH any bodies beliefs, it is not my place to do so.

This thread was not about Christians? I think you need to read the topic agen, your trying to start a war? From what I got from the topic is that 100% faith in anything with no logical backing is stupid, and all the topic maker wanted to point out was your Opinon on that. Its good that there is a debate heer. But your over reacting acting as if your holier than thow and that your s**t dont stink. Please take one step back, reread the topic, look at it from a nothers point of view and than post your opinons after you think about it for a bit.

NOT ONE DAMN TIME DID I EVER PUSH A BELIEF ON ANYONE IN THIS GUILD. @DAS I'm leaving your guild until I get an apology from Doctor Logical. I highly take offense to the quote in bold not once in your guild did I personally make an attack on anyone. In my guild that would have been one strike against him. @Doctor Logical I've got half a mind to boot you from my guild for making that comment at me. Consider it a strike against you.
