"Sure, their hanging up to dry out in the little grove over there." he pointed to the grove he'd gone into to dress again. After pointing Dust in the right direction, he seemed to slip off into another world while he finished singing his song.

"I see you standing there
Tears falling free
Searching for something
You can't find
And I can see
You're going out of your mind
Broken hearts and broken dreams
Are things I know all too well
I'll help you find all the pieces
And put them back together again
With a blue rose
And a big red bow
To let you know
There's someone out there
Who really does care
I'm going crazy without you
Is this really how it's meant to be?"

Broken hearts and broken dreams
I don't have to worry about them anymore
Now that I've found you
With love in your eyes
And passion in your touch
This is how it was really meant to be."

Shiyaa blinked," Lovers and swimming are equally complex if you ask me..." He said, standing up. He tied his skirt up so it was shorter and easier to manuver in. The he took several of his red ribbons and braided them into his hair.

Shiyaa smiled as he listened to Tristen sing, almost feeling like he should dance again. Instead, he crossed his arms and listened.

Blink and you'd have missed it, Dust darting off into the water almost before Tristan had gotten that first word out.

He grabbed the boxers off their branch and in the privacy of that grove changed into them... and while he was there he checked out if there was anything else worth wearing... the top hat would have been a nice touch, but not for swimming, and the feather boa would have strangled him...

Leaving his fundoshi on the branch in such a way as it would billow like a flag in the wind, if there was any wind... which there wasn't, a light breeze could happen, at best, and that was a calculated and controlled kind of thing... everything about The Garden's environment could be calculated and controlled. Most days, Dust found that comforting. He also thought it was cheating. Where was I? He swam back out to the others clad in those new boxers which fit like a glove... which is a silly thing to say, as Dust has owned many pairs of gloves that didn't fit ideally.

Pulling himself up onto the bank was a slightly less graceful affair this time, but he respectfully waited for Tristan's song to finish, sitting there cross-legged with a dreamy smile on his face, before he let out: "Mmmmm, satin."

Tristan heard Dust's comment and merely giggled."See, I told you why I liked them did't I?" He stood up and walked over to him. He placed a simlpe kiss on his cheek and held his chin between his thumb and forefinger of his right hand."They feel absolutely exquisite don't they?"

To his credit, Dust overcame his initial surprise very quickly, but he did flush red when Tristan's lips brushed his cheek.

"mm-Hmm," he answered the boy's question as he took his chin in his hand, and Dust arched his back and rose up a bit on his crossed-legs, moving with the motions of Tristan taking his chin. A contented smile appeared on his face, and he decided he quite liked being touched by Tristan, and the boy may do so whenever and wherever he liked.

He shifted to keep his balance... and apparently that was a mistake, because anyone within shouting distance would then hear the ripping sound as the seam gave way, and the back of those boxers split.

At which point Dust turned bright, bright red, and he didn't dare speak. He gulped, though.

"Looks like I'll need to get a new pair to replace those." Tristan walked around the bend and into a hidden cave where he pulled down an extra pair of the same black satin boxers. He carried them out to Dust and handed to to him."If you'll hand me the other pair, I'll have to fix them soon." he simply smiled and slid his forefinger down the bridge of Dust's nose, in a way he might do a well mannered little boy to show he cared."It's not a problem and nothing tobe embarrased about. They are pretty old. I've had those for a few years, so it's about time that something like that happened."

Yaru had gotten up and began walking. He didn't want a cure until he was a fighter again. Finding what he sensed was a quite place he began to practice his moves. He was very agile and quick, moving very fast for a blind person and throwing imaginary daggers, since he didn't have his anymore. When he stopped he was on his knees, hunched over, sweat dropping off his brow. His lung gulped for air as he beat the ground with a fist. Still not good enough.

Dust was blushing to the point that the redness was spreading to his chest. He accepted the boxers without comment, and actually flinched when Tristan touched his face.

He wasn't embarassed about his butt showing. I mean, he was wearing a little fundoshi for peat's sake. He was embarassed because he Killed Tristan's underwear, and he'd only just met him ten seconds ago, and Tristan told him how much he liked them and everything... and he figured that line about having them for years... he figured the boy was just being nice.

"Sorry," he managed to stammer out as he stood up and turned around, mostly out of habit of keeping his "privates"... private. He was completely comfortable being dressed or undressed in The Garden, because people didn't generally focus on him. Fighters were focused on Whores they could use, or checking out the competition. Whores generally focused on Fighters who could potentially utilize them at the drop of a hat, and paid Dust and Watchers like him little mind.

He hooked his thumbs in the ripped boxer's waistline and bent over, pushing them down to his ankles, probably giving Tristan quite a view, but he wasn't really thinking right now. He just wanted this awkwardness and humiliation over so he could do drown himself. And as he stepped into the new pair and pulled them up, he watched Yaru move.

"You really were amazing out there, weren't you?" he remarked, quietly, maybe with a little awe. Dust hadn't quite achieved that level of precision in his movements. Maybe he should take up dancing.

"I was skilled as many fighters were and are." He lifted his head and seemed to gaze far into the distance. "Since my fall from grace I have been exerting my efforts to climb back up. After I was blinded I was nearly in invalid, 'blindfighting' and actually fighting blind are two different things, it was ahrd to adjust. Now I'm comfrotable in the dark and I want to move faster than I did before." He stood, his legs quivering before he forced them to stop. "I'm still not fast enough!"

He shrugged as the boy berated himself. "Didn't look so bad to me."

And he looked up as though he had a sudden thought and looked over his shoulder at Tristan. "These really are nice," he commented with a whistle, and he handed the boy the one's he'd accidently ripped. "And... sorry."

Looking back to Yaru he proposed, "Alright, so do you want me to be a punching bag that'll hit ya back and work on getting your reflexes up, or am I teaching Shiyaa here how to not-drown? I'm not a bit sleepy," he grinned, the redness of his face finally starting to dim.

"Speed does not neccessarily hinder to grace my friend. Grace does not always bring hidden power. Yet when one achieves all three and utilizes them in perfect harmony, true strength lies within." Tristan had learned that years ago and had worked long and hard to get where he was. He knew he wasn't perfect and his eyes he never would be. He had worked to get to a point where he could move with such fluid grace and speed that power was not always needed. Yet he also learned that speed sometimes is the power one seeks." Watch." he spoke only the one word before he began to show what he meant, not even thinking that Yaru couldn't see him but he had a feeling that Yaru's senses would be strong enough to lend him other ways of seeing. He moved, almost like he was dancing, and yet he placed every movement as if he were attacking someone until he finally threw and single throwing card at a nearby tree with such speed that it almost looked as if his hand had moved from his thight to pointing at the tree in the blink of an eye. The card sailed out and lodged itself into the bark of the tree so deeply that half the card was missing to anyone that was looking."Understand?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 03, 2006 11:13 pm

"Be ready." Was all he said before turning and going to punch the other, when he dodged he chased after him, sweeping low for a kick. He bent and flipped backwards to avoid the other's punch, striking out with his legs as he backflipped three time sand then got down into a stance.

((hmm, okay. We're gonna have to work on fight roleplaying, but I can roll with that smile ))

Not exactly being a slouch when it came to trading blows, he stood his ground and sparred with his friend (blocking that sweep with the trickiest bit). And as Yaru backflipped away... he had a sudden thought as he looked to Tristan.

(Actually he had two sudden thoughts. The first one was, "Hey! These shorts haven't split down my crack! He was telling the truth about the other ones being old." But the second sudden thought is what he actually gave voice to.)

"So what you're saying is," he started, eyeing the card in the tree, "Is that you could cut the clothes off me and I'd never see it coming," he proposed with a mock knowing smile.

Shiyaa watched the fight in amusement. Sure, he wasn't a Fighter, but that didn't mean he didn't fight. When he was younger he recently fought, although that was more for survival. He also thought that the fight was much more entertaining than the thought of drowning. A lot.

(Could I get a briefing on where people are right about now? It may help me out with some sort of entrance.)
