Aslinn saw cody smile and she listened to him. When he talked about hanging out she grabbed a scrap of paper from her bag and wrote her cell number down. "Well if you want we can go out to eat later; or do something. I'm gonna go home but message me if you want to hang out; or just hop in and find me at work." Aslinn stood up slowly and stretched her arms smiling at Cody not wanting to walk around his book store by herself since he was the one who would lock it up. She slid her bag onto her shoulders while she thought about what she was gonna do when she got home.

Cody gently took the paper with her number, knowing that he would keep it but soon thought over how she stretched a bit but then gently walked with her down to the book store and walked with her to the door outside, "Well I would gladly be happy to hang out later..." he said kindly to her as he gently looked around seeing that no gang members were around but figured as much since his book store was on the same street as the police station.

Aslinn smiled when Cody told her he'd be glad to hang out later. She walked with him down stairs "well like i said text me if it's something big; or stop by the shop if your just interested in lunch." When Cody checked to make sure it was clear she smiled before exiting the shop "i'll see you around" she said as she waived before she began walking off to her apartment. ((if you want we can now time skip to the next morning or a few days up to you))

Cody waved her off and smiled, he was actually happy to have met her, where he couldn't wait to hang out with her again. (Time skipping sounds good, but your choice, when do you think would be good?)

Aslinn had gotten home perfectly fine and passed out not long afterwards. It was two days later and she had just gotten settled in at her new office. Her new employees were more than skeptical at first but after she' had a nice long chat they'd more than tolerated her. Thus far she'd been examining the companies finances and sales; she hadn't done much else. She was sitting in her office currently updating the sales log making sure everything was current. Her father had kept such horrible records it wasn't even funny. She set up a contact list as well as a services list while she set up a spread sheet listing what the clients had purchased and follow up services. From time to time she thought about Cody and wondered how things were going at his shop; she had been to wrapped up in work she hadn't had time to try getting over there. ((ok i skipped two days))

Cody had been working in the shop those two days but when he finally had a day for the shop to be closed for a day which he decided to take a chance to go see and visit Aslinn. He walked to her shop and saw a few people looking around but he soon asked an employee if they could go tell her that he was here to say hello.

Aslinn had almost finished the spread sheet when someone came in and told her the book store boy was here. Aslinn stood up and carefully dusted her blouse off. She'd gotten only four hours of sleep the night before and had been sitting at the computer desk all morning. She'd gone to bed at ten and woken up at two to be here by three. She wanted to fix all of the record keeping as fast as possible so she could move onto more important tasks. She had an exhausted look as she grabbed her cup of coffee and chugged the rest of it before poring herself another glass and going to find Cody. Even with the human guise her body would still show any problems. She exited her office and walked towards Cody; setting her mug down she smile. "how's it going Cody?" As she spoke she stretched lightly and smiled softly at him before she took her mug and began sipping on the beverage again.

Cody looked at her when she moved, thinking it over, "Wow... it looks like a cat dragged you out of the bed... are you okay?" He asked seeing that she was tired and seemed miserable, "Anything that I can help out with... helping you take care of anything so that you can rest?" he asked curiously to her.

As Cody asked how she was doing she laughed slightly before she spoke "nahhh; i'll be fine. I've gone over finances already; i'm finishing up the client contact list and past purchases and repairs. Then i'm gonna inventory everything and see who's doing what. Afterwards i can start tracking sales and work on promotions durring the slow months." From the way she sounded it was clear she intended to pull as long a shift as she could manage. Over the past two days coffee had become her crack; it was wht currently was giving her energy. That first night she'd gotten five hours of sleep so she'd tried the beverage at the staffs urging. "if you want we can go get something to eat." Aslinn said softly in between sipping on the coffee.

Cody listened to what she said but thought it over, "Are you sure that you don't need my help... its great to keep drinking coffee to keep going but you might want to try relaxing a bit, so yeah lunch will be good." He said as he began to leave with her, thinking over how it should be good for her to get some rest, not realizing that he was up wind of her as they walked.

nightmare_rabbit_alice Aslinn heard Cody and she sighed "trust me i'll be fine. I can rest once i'm done" She set her coffee mug down before grabbing her ba and leaving with Cody. As they were talking she suddenly smelt something and tensed. Seeing that it was only her and Cody she grew worried; wondering if he were the cause of the smell.

Cody looked at her when she seemed to stop a bit, "is something wrong Aslinn?" He asked seeing that she seemed pale, "Crashing from all that coffee?" He asked moving a bit closer, wondering if she was okay.

Aslinn looked at Cody as he drew closer she noticed how strong this strange scent got and it confused her. Cody wasn't wearing any charms to hide his anthro side or so she thought. She could however smell that he was part anthro. As soon as he asked if she was crashing from the coffee she snapped out of it and looked at him. "hunh nooo i'm just fine." she said rather quickly trying to convince him she was alright; admittedly the coffee was starting to wear off but it was his scent driving her mad. She didn't dare ask him outright because she was worried that he might have ulterior motives.

Cody seemed a bit concerned about her, "Are you sure..." he asked a bit curiously, wondering what was bothering her but soon he just walked to the same dinner. When they got there he soon ordered them some drinks and food, "So happy with those books?" He asked curiously as he sat with her.

"trust me i'm fine" she said softly as they continued walking. When they got to the diner Aslinn sat down across from him and ordered. As he asked her about the books she sighed and said "i've started on one of the gemology books but admittedly haven't gotten very far." After She said that she she looked at Cody and decided to take a stab in the dark and ask him something. "So Cody, has your family always lived here or did they move here." It wasn't uncommon for people to spend time away from their tribe; however to completely live away from the tribe was unheard of unless they committed some horrible crime.
