 Bella was still groggy and was wanting to get up. But she stayed down, not wanting to undo the vets work. She fell asleep on the way to the pharmacy. She was still tired and would be until diner time. SHe knew where she was....SHe was in Alex's car. Alex was her second best friend, next to Austin. He was her lord and master. Once they were home, she was still sleeping with her tail wrapped around her like a puppy almost. She had to stay in this form until she healed completely. Then again it wasn't too hard for her. SHe had been hurt worse before by the guards. This was nothing compared to the injuries her second master cave her that one time. He was arrested and that's when she was taken to the slave market after running off. But she was happy now When she heard the car door open she opened her eyes and nuzzled Austin's hand saying "Thank you master. I'm sorry for worrying you." She made a connection with Alex too so he was the only one of Austin's friends who knew what she was.

 Austin smiled gently at Bella, "I'm just glad you're feeling better." he said softly as he and Alex got Bella gently out of the car and inside. They lay her on a comfortable little bed next to the couch. "Just get some sleep, Bells. If you need to go to the bathroom or you're hungry or thirsty, just tell me." he said, covering her with a blanket, kissing her head and going into the kitchen with Alex for a cup of coffee. He sat tiredly at the table with his mug, staring into the brown liquid without seeing as he tried to sort through his thoughts.

Bella smiles as much as a wolf could and fell asleep. Then the next morning, she could smell guards coming. They didn't know about the accident or that she was able to transform. Then a knock came at the door. Bella didn't move not wanting to make her rib cage fall apart again. Then she could smell Amber. Bella growled and instantly knew what was going on. She then turned into a German Shepard something Amber didn't know about and telepathically said to Austin "Master wake up. Amber is here with the guards from the slave shop." She then started to shake and started to bark acting like a real dog.

Austin talked quietly with Alex for a while before he headed home. Heading upstairs, he took a shower, pulled on his nightclothes, and then made himself a bed on the couch so he could be nearby when Bella needed him. He was sleeping fitfully when he heard Bella speaking in his head and he sat up quickly, blinking the sleep from his eyes. Pushing the blankets off, he went to answer the door, moving his hand through his hair quickly before he answered the door. He took one look at Amber and the guards and sighed, "Isn't it a little too earlier for this crap?" he said. Amber smiled at him sickly and said they were there to get Bella. Austin crossed his arms, leaning against the door jam, "You're a little too late. Bella heard what was going on and turned tail. She's miles away by now." he said. Amber frowned, narrowing her eyes on him and Austin shrugged. "If you want to check the house go ahead, it's just me and my dog." he said, pushing the door open and letting them inside. "I didn't know you had a dog." Amber said as the guards came inside to search the house. "She's always out with Bella on wakes. She doesn't take kindly to strangers." he said, taking a seat on the couch again.

Bella growled and bared her fangs trying to show that she wasn't too fond of them. Then the guards came into the living room and looked at her. SHe growled as she glared at them. Then she nudged Austin's hand before licking it showing that she only wanted him around. The guards told Amber his story checked out and went to find Bella on her orders.

Austin stroked Bella's ears went she nudged him, giving her a gentle smile out of the corner of his mouth. He watched the guards closely as Amber eyed him and the dog suspiciously. Once the guards had reported to Amber and they left, he relaxed, waving after his fiancee as she left too, "See you soon sweety, I love you." he called. She waved from the door before she closed it and he sighed in relief, glad they were gone.

Bella then wagged her tail at Austin and said "At least she's gone master. But I have a feeling she's suspicious. Better be careful." She then looked at him and wondered what he would do.

Austin nodded in agreement, "Yeah, Amber's stubborn and I'm sure she'll try to find out the truth or not." he said, frowning deeply, hating the thought of his fiancee perusing this issue. If she threatened Bella, he would put his foot down. Screw the business deal, he wouldn't put up with this.

Bella nodded and layed her head on a pillow bored. She would usually be in the garden right now sunbathing but since she couldn't move she was bored. She was obeying doctors orders no matter what.

Austin relaxed onthe couch for a while before he got up and went to get Bella some food and water, which he set next to her bed. Then, he stroked her ears again, "You feeling all right, Bells? Do you need to go to the bathroom?" he asked her softly.

Bella shook her head and said "No just bored. I'm just not used to being hurt like this anymore. Ever since you took me in...I haven't been hurt until now. It's not your fault that I was hurt it was Amber's. She's the reason I ran off in the first place. But i promise I wont leave you no matter what." She said and wagged her tail a little bit as she snuggled up to him. She laid her head on his leg and smiled as she laid with him.

Austin nodded, sighing in agreement. "I know, she's....ugh." he shook his head, wrinkling his nose in disgust at the thought of his fiancee. "I'm just sorry this happened, I never wanted to see you hurt like this Bells," he said, hating to see her so beat up and broken. He adjusted himself on the floor, still stroking Bella's ears and humming softly to her.

((Srry I took so long to reply. I've been really busy both on and offline.)) Bella wagged her tail as he rubbed her ears and hummed to her. "Like I said 'it wasn't your fault. It was Amber's." She said and nuzzled him before she said "Though I was hoping you would lay with me for a while. It gets lonely on the couch." She then gave him her puppy dog eyes like she normally did when she wanted something from him> This time she wanted him to lay with her. She was blushing deeply under that fur though.

(It's fine, I understand smile ) Austin smiled slightly and he adjusted himself again so he could lay on his side next to Bella, still stroke her ears. "Hm, I can understand, sometimes you need someone there to just cuddle with." he said, leaning his head against his knuckles and humming softly to her.

((Srry would have posted sooner but things kept coming up and I had to keep getting off before I could)) Bella wagged her tail as she laid with Austin and snuggled up to him. She smiled and stayed close falling asleep as he hummed to her. She was bored but knew Austin wanted her to get better. "Master...I was wondering. Maybe when I'm better we could figure out a way to get your parents to let me stay. that way I wouldn't have to hide from them. I would never hurt anyone unless you ask me too so maybe if they could see that...then maybe they would change their minds?" She said trying to figure out a way to get his parents to let her stay with him. She liked him more than he knew and wanted to tell him but was scared he didn't loved her the same way.
