He can be sadistic and narcissistic at times, but despite that, he is terrified of the dark and of being alone. When Alois was still a baby, he was kidnapped. His mother killed herself out of grief and his father began searching for him everywhere. Alois himself was forced into slavery in a small village. One day, everyone in the village was mysteriously killed, including the boy Alois loved as a brother. He was the only survivor. Eventually, Alois returned to the Trancy estate. Shortly after this, his father fell ill and died, and as a result, he inherited the Trancy manor and his father's title.
