It's funny, but... Ludwig hadn't really stopped to think that there was too much behind the attacks until Italy had said something. Truth be told, Ludwig had been pretty convinced that they were just attacking people the same way a wild animal would. However... They were smart enough to know how to catch a person who is off-guard. Hell, they attacked during the day without getting caught. So surely they had some capability to thinking things through, and therefore had to have a reason to do this. But what was the reason? Still, at least there was a motive to look for. That was a start.

"Thank you Italy. It makes me feel much better hearing that you will be careful. Be sure to tell your brothers to be careful as well, but don't tell Romano that I'm the one to tell you to tell him. I'm fairly certain he hates me, so he'll probably do the exact opposite and end up getting into trouble. Alright?" Honestly, Ludwig had no idea what he had done to make the man hate him as much as Romano did, but he held nothing against him. If anything, he just got annoyed when Romano brought up past issues such as the World Wars. Yeah, those weren't his best ideas, but it wasn't like he had too much of a choice on what it was his bosses had wanted him to do. That's all in the past and Ludwig had been on his best behavior since the end of WWII. If Roderich, Francis, Ivan, and Arthur had forgiven Ludwig for those mistakes, then surely Romano could do the same since he never once considered harming either the Italian brothers.

"So? Shall we head back to the dorm? I'm sure Kiku is waiting for us. We did promise that the three of us would eat dinner together."

As much of a pain as Romano was and as much as the Italian had a personal vendetta against the German, he still wanted to help protect him since he was Feliciano's brother, and the thought of how Feli would react if either of his brothers got hurt always gave the German an uneasy feeling. He was so happy and carefree. Why let him know what it's like to lose a brother...?

He cleared those thoughts from his mind and looked up. Ludwig hadn't been around for Italy too much today after he had promised to spend as much time with the Italian as he could. That just meant he needed to work harder on that tomorrow. As Italy ran off, Ludwig went into his Disciplinarian mode and got a stern expression as he yelled after his friend. "Italy! Zhere is NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS!" He sighed and face-palmed before following after his friend. Who cares if it's after hours? Rules are rules, and the fact that Ludwig was pretty hungry at this point was not helping at all.
