Sub Pahar PhilosophyMind Yes! I wish to leave my country as well! But if you're aiming for Europe, you might need to find a job over there first if you're wanting to live there. My friend went to school in Europe and when she came home AFTER she'd finished they wouldn't let her come back to live unless she found a job first. This is what makes me anxious, I know I need to find a job first. And everything is easier if you finish university in the country in which you wish to work. I really don't wanna stay in Quebec. Even the United States have more of my sympathy than the province in which I currently live. What was you friend's work field ? By the way, I only write/speak english on Gaia so I must make a lot pf grammar mistakes. I am sorry sweatdrop . But please correct me, I would really appreciate it. I never really learned what her field was...she'd just finished school at Cambridge and had returned home to visit. And they wouldn't let her come back to even get her stuff...

My name is James, I'm a currently a mechanic for the United States Army. Also while they would tell me I'm merely a soldier, I also like to think of myself as a philosopher. I only tell my Sergeants that when I want to aggravate them, however ("I don't WANNA be a soldier, I wanna be a ballerina!").
While I'm supposed to work on tracked vehicles, it's pretty obvious which type of vehicle is more common in the military. So I've been assigned to an automotive (wheeled) shop and ordered to like it. I defy them by putting grease on door knobs.
Anyway, I will warn you thought I like to cause trouble on this message board. As shallow as it might seem, sometimes I can't pass up screwing with these people... it's a little too easy, though. But I will not do anything to sully the name of Stoica. Like going to a forum and posting "StOiCA tolD mE 2 KIk Ur AzZ".
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Do the damn thang, yall.
EDIT: Forgot to mention... I'm currently in South Korea, but I'm from Sebastopol, California. I say whut, Cali!

--star--girl-- Hi James, and welcome to the Stoica! It's nice to see another guy joining, because we currently only have one active male member. sweatdrop Thanks you two. I just did a search for Philosophy guilds, noticed there was very few that had anything to do with philosophy... and the ones that did were more or less filled with pompous "superior minds". Then I found Stoica. Rawk, I say. Seems like a right bunch of friendly people.

I just did a guild search for 'philosophy' and found that there is another (ahem, larger) philosophy guild that I previously didn't know about. But in my opinion, the Stoica is much nicer, because it's a smaler group and we all get to know each other better. 3nodding

I remember seeing a banner in some random person's sig somewhere on the site, got jittery for a moment, but then brushed it off. I must say I do like our small group. ^_^

With smaller groups you get a chance to hear everyone's side. Sure, you might still be able to do that with large guilds, but it would take longer and some people may get into a fight over something very trivial.
Smaller groups, like ours, are able to, as previous mentioned by --star--girl--, get to know each other better and create meaningful discussion. =d

Name's Laura. I am in sixth grade((God, I feel so young!)). I love to read and to argue with people. I like to see other people's views on things and am always open to ideas. I love all music except rap and country and I have WAY too many pets.
Meh, I can't think of anything else.

-waves- Greetings young one!
Even if you are decently young, at least you don't act like it. You're using the correct spellings instead of 1337 speak. Therefore, in my eyes, you're automatically older. =d

I'm so touched. I sort of spazz out if there's too much incorrect grammar in something and I read a lot so that helps my vocabulary.
