WHAT A CRAZY FIRST ROUND...I'm so ******** pissed!!! stressed Anyways, I was posting here for most of the draft, LOL: http://myespn.go.com/s/conversations/show/story/4418963Wow, Giants... I'm still mad. Firstly, I'm angry about how some of the teams picking at the top screwed over the entire first round. McClain to the Raiders at #8 had me breaking down. Spiller going at #9 to the Bills pissed me off too. We were the most affected team, while other teams thrived. It was like a NASCAR wreck or something... Secondly, I question the Giants' decision itself. Unless JPP becomes a total stud or establishes himself to be better than D Morgan / D Williams / B Bulaga / S Weatherspoon, then I will still not support the selection. That pick just didn't make sense for the Giants. I don't get how Coughlin and Reese were on the same page here. We could have traded back; look how easy it was this year, and look at some of the great prospects that dropped! I've mentioned way too many times that we are fine at DE with Tuck and Umenyiora (and Kiwanuka). It looks like we're not even making any trades, so our depth and talent is fine at the position. JPP is a huge risk, and is a project player. Another big contract for a DE, who will from what I've heard, "receive limited playing time while getting worked in." How would we use him effectively, and how will we be able to juggle all these big time DEs for the long-term? Oh, and...JPP wasn't even the best DE on the board! I'm just pretty angry, because we all know that this wasn't the most intelligent decision, unless something's REALLY up... Since the Giants made a senseless pick with JPP, who knows unpredictable today (and the rest of the draft) will be? I have a plan for what the Giants should do. We should trade Kiwanuka and our third rounder for another second rounder. Then with our two second round picks, we can select Daryl Washington (MLB) and Brian Price (DT). Then we could draft Ed Wang (OT) in the fourth round, Deji Karim (RB/KR) in the fifth round, Zoltan Mesko (P/K) in the sixth round, and Kavell Conner (SOLB) in the seventh round.

Jason Pierre-Paul, Linval Joseph, Chad Jones. Three solid players that will definitely add depth and talent to the defense. But were they the right selections? I noted above about my stance on JPP. As for Joseph, I think he will be a very good player for us. But my major concern was why we passed up on Daryl Washington. He was right there, and could have been our future MLB. As for Jones, I don't think it was a smart pick. He is an athletic player, but we are already in good shape with the safety position. There were some better players [and needs] on the board. Well, Saturday is the final day of the draft. Here are my two plans for the Giants: Plan A - 4. Jamar Chaney (MLB) 5. Ed Wang (OT) 6. Deji Karim (RB/KR) 7. Kavell Conner (SOLB) Plan B- 4. Bruce Campbell (OT) 5. trade to the Raiders for Kirk Morrison (MLB) 6. Deji Karim (RB/KR) 7. Kavell Conner (SOLB)

I'm satisfied. Got a solid Back-Up QB in Clausen, a possible #2 Receiver in Brandon LaFell and another decent player in Armanti Edwards. Edwards played QB for App State, but he will be playing WR for the Panthers.
I see the Panthers taking a DT with the 124th Pick.

Bruce Campbell (OT) 5. trade to the Raiders for Kirk Morrison (MLB) 6. Deji Karim (RB/KR) 7. Kavell Conner (SOLB) Of course this draft makes the Giants better. We got a lot of solid players. We added some quality depth, and the Giants will host a lot of competition. I just question some of the picks, because there were some more desirable options available. The Giants could have had a better draft. I feel like we could have been big winners if we took some better players on the board. No, we weren't draft losers like some lower NFL franchises. But I think we had a chance to be draft winners, yet didn't capitalize... The Giants entered this draft with a need at MLB. McClain was probably our top option, but he was gone early. Maybe guys like Weatherspoon, Washington, Lee, and Spikes weren't really favored by Reese (who liked to use his early draft picks). But what angers me most is that once we actually did take a MLB, it was Dillard over the better Chaney. Jamar Chaney was passed up by us in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds, until the Eagles jumped ahead of us to take him in the seventh (are you wondering why?). We opted for Dillard, an oft-injured MLB who played behind the best DT in the college game (Suh). Chaney was one of the top MLBs in this draft. He was the most athletic MLB in the draft, he has a great overall skill-set, and was a one man show at Mississippi State. He would have been perfect for our defense, and would have been a great value pick. I'm just extremely pissed that we passed up on Daryl Washington in the second, and Jamar Chaney in the fourth, fifth, and sixth. Those two would have been very good MLBs for us, and both fell right into our laps (Chaney multiple times). Considering how far he fell, Jamar Chaney was right there for the taking. Not selecting him was the worst move by the Giants this draft, in my opinion. Kirk Morrison would have also been a solid alternative...

Rolando McClain and CJ Spiller were taken much earlier than expected, and one of them was supposed to fall to the Giants. Meanwhile, Clausen (a projected top-10 pick by most) fell all the way into the laps of the Panthers. The football gods must hate us! gonk

We got really lucky, we went from having maybe one QB to now having 3 potential QB's and a guy that can throw from the wildcat.
