You have to wear that style of hair and clothing. You have to cut yourself. And you have to be depressed all the time. This kid at my school (actually my ex-boyfriend) claims that he`s emo. I told him I liked emo guys, he supposedly turned emo for me. He`s not emo `cause he has to cut himself all the time. My boyfriend sees him and he pokes himself with pens, and he found a block of wood that was cut a little bit and he was using that as a cutting tool. We all know he`s not emo. He just wants to be.

the worst ive heard was that all emos are gay. that is complete bullshit!

and how we "cry all the time." i dont cry for no reason.
unlike those snobby biitches that cry everytime they drop there precious new expensive phone in teh friggen toilet >.>
and also i hate being told that i only listen to fall out boy( wtf i dont even like them), or i have crappy taste in music. and i HATE when they try to pretend to sing screamo/post hard core and jus scream in my face:
"i wanna die and kill myself." and all that fun jazz

and i get this crap from justin bieber fans O.o

Well, technically, 'emo' is a scene. And 'scene' is a different type of scene.

But, there are differences; 'emo' kids are obnoxious, young, stupid and most of them believe they are depressed.
'Scene' kids are mostly girls and are older in age, about 2 years older than the 'emo' kids, actually. But 'scene' kids are still obnoxious and stupid.

Well i did used to cut and all that depressing stuff and what not but not any more.

At my school im refered to as THAT EMO GIRL when actually me and my general group of friends are usually more happy and having more fun then the preps. But since me and my friends dont care what others think and are just like being ouselves they say were emo. I dont label my self as anything except me.

But something caught my attention the other day about this group of "emo" kids i seen. There was like six girls in the group and they all had their hair dyed jet black and it was the type of color that you could tell that they had obviously dyed it. I was going crossed eyed from looking at them they all looked the same the only one i could tell a differnce was the one that had her hair scrunched. Stuff like that i find ignorant and stereotypical.
