"Just wait until you see the new prosthetics we've been working on. It's almost in the final stages of completion. And we developed a new vaccine as well, for those susceptible to claw-scratch fever" Missing the slight tease, he began to ramble on about the lastest projects as they walked side by side, wanting to share the excitement with Fern and let her know about some of the things that had occupied his time so effectively in the past weeks. Unfortunately, Saberlin was cut short in his passionate explanations as the door to their room appeared in front of them, causing him to pause to look for the keycard. He searched through his pockets for the thin bit of plastic, turning a few inside out. Did he even have it? He couldn't remember too clearly.

"Hm...what's this?" He stopped rummaging around abruptly when he felt something cool and thin placed into his left hand and turned to see that Fern had given him the keycard. Of course, she had arrived here before him and would have signed in. Laughing softly, he thanked her then ran the card through the slot on the door to release the lock mechanism.

After a second there was a small clicking sound. Saberlin grabbed the silver handle and pushed the door open slowly, revealing the room beyond. It was a luxury suite, complete with a large, luxurious looking bed, soft plush feeling carpet, an ensuite equipped with a spa, a flat screen tv and plenty of other useful or expensive furniture and appliances. The room had been stocked with practically everything they could need and there was even a small kitchen and lounge area. "Ladies first" Moving aside, he waited for Fern to enter, trying to cover a yawn.

As they checked into their room he hugged her. "It's been a while since we've had a vacation isn't it? Or alone..." blushing he kissed her. "I'm so glad that we can spend some time before our lives get busy.." he smiled placing a hand on her belly.

"Anyway let's see what the buffet has? I'm kinda hungry..what about you?" he asked letting her go. Just the the bell boy delivered their bags and left, after being tipped.

"I know, too long if you ask me," she said, "and ,I forgot, technically we're not really alone."
Michi thought about the little life growning inside her and how nice it would be when they finally got to meet their child, touch his or her tiny fingers, and hear his or her voice. All in due time I guess, I'll just have to be patient
"Buffet, food sounds nice, especially since I haven't been able to hold down a meal for two months."
Jack asked the front desk for directions, and soon the two were walking down the sandy cobblestone path to the restaurant. Well, I should say Jack was walking, Michi was waddling.
"I feel so stupid. I look like a whale! How did I ever let you talk me into going out in public looking like this!!!"

((I just noticed this.... but why is this in the magical pregnancy area? Seems to me there is not magic or anything like that involved.))

Saberlin had begun to dream. He was in a tropical jungle, surrounded by a myriad of sights and sounds; tropical birds trilling and chirruping, insects serenading and tiny frogs croaking. Jewel coloured butterflies flitted lazily through the warm golden air, hovering over all kinds of bright, beautiful flowers. He smiled as he padded through the jungle, feeling soft mulch crumble underneath silent paw pads, his spotted coat blending easily with the surroundings.

Coming out into a clearing where a small, musical waterfall tumbled down into a crystal clear pool thinking to get a drink, his smile suddenly widened into a large feline grin and Saberlin in leopard form bounded towards the maiden there with graceful strides; “Fern!”

“Nn…Fern?” Saberlin sat up as he awoke, blinking as the dream of the jungle dissolved. It had been so vivid that it was taking a few moments for him to realise where he was again. Still, it had been infused with such joyful feelings; Saberlin couldn’t wipe the glad smile from his face as he said her name.
