Don't forget, JaMarcus Russell held out for most of his rookie season, and didn't see much PT until the last 2 games of '07. So he was for all intents and purposes still a rookie in '08. Since he started all year, he should be better in '09. Especially since he showed some flashes of brilliance. When he gets better receivers that have the speed to catch his deep throws and becomes more consistent, watch out.

He has potential. Russell has all of the physical tools. He just needs to be calmer and make smarter quick decisions.

...Anyways, he needs a better offensive line to thrive.

Yeah. That might help too.

Anyone remember Jeff George? That guy had all the physical tools. He had arguably the best arm ever in the NFL. Failed. Lol.

You need smarts, and I don't think Russell has that. He might, but from what I've seen... No.

George was as a journeyman as a guy can get.

...Anyways, I think that Russell still needs time to develop. He's only been a starter for over a year, and he's had injuries, and a bad team around him.

I think the day Russel throws a good pass is the day Al Davis dies. (Keeping this Al Davis hatorade going)

I hope Seattle will pick up OT Andre Smith, they need someone young to replace the aging Walter Jones.

They could very well take B.J. Raji, DT from Boston College.

I think there might. But not for a player. For picks. It will invole Philly trading both of their 1st round picks for the other teams 1sts next year and 2nd rounders. LOL. nah, not that, but I do think there are going to be some suprise manuvering by teams this year. I want Philly to pick up Nicks or McCoy or if they are not available for one of their picks, pick up either Pettigrew or Coffman. One of them has to be available. Second round Pick up either a safety or look at depth for CB/Safety. I know there are a few Safety prospects that look like they have huge upsides if they get their butts in gear.

The Giants might make a trade. Possibly for an earlier pick, because most of the good LBs will be taken by #29. I want the Giants to go after a LB like Cushing or Laurinaitis, or a WR like Nicks or Britt. I also want the Giants to get a CB/S and a backup OL. The Giants might also trade for a receiver like Edwards or Boldin, depending on what the Burress situation will be like.

They might try for Edwards, but I can guarantee you they would not have enough ammo to get Boldin. Besides, Boldin (from what I remember) stated he will only go to a few teams. No one else. But I could have been wrong.

Laurinaitis would be a good pick for your team though, but I think Giants are going to address the WR or DB first. My opinion only.

The Giants actually have the "ammo" to make some trades. They have 10 or 11 picks in this Draft, with 3 in the top 60.

Anyways, I think that the Giants should grab a LB with their first round pick. Brian Cushing would be great, but he'll probably be taken earlier. I'd love to grab Laurinaitis, to eventually take over our MLB spot for Pierce. He would thrive in our system, and might just make it to #29.

I think that receiver is a necessity, but not a huge one. The Giants have a lot of depth at WR, but not a true starter. Toomer is probably leaving, and the Burress situation is up in the air. I'm hoping that the Giants can draft Britt or Robiskie in the second round, or possibly Ramses Barden later on. The Giants could also possibly bring in Torry Holt if he's released.

The Giants have a pretty solid secondary. We still probably need one more cornerback, and a safety would be beneficial. But I hope that they wait at least until their later second round pick (second one) to make a move in the defensive backs category.
