OMFGxALEX To adress a few issues. The Vikings really don't scare me as a team as of this moment. They do not have a average Quarterback in Tavaris Jackson. When teams stack 8-9 men in the box, even All Day can't bust thier backs.
Tavaris has an exciting battalion of recievers in Bernard Berrian, but he's a nice downfield threat, with great speed and hands. Thier Defense is very good, but had they gotten Asante Samuel it would've been so much better. Thier Pass D, is nothing short of terrible.
My team? Philadelphia. McNabb turned it on with 3 meaningless games last year to get us to 8-8. However, his stats were impressive in those three starts. I see DeSean Jackson being a poor mans Devin Hester, but our offense goes in the shakey knees of Brian Westbrook. However he goes, the offense goes. If he stays healthy for 16 games and L.J Smith returns to form, Philadelphia can win 11-12 games. But one injury, and they're boned.
@JCSB1993- Bro, Trotter is washed up. He has rickity knees, and is injury prone, and is slower than Byron Leftwich. He isn't a complete LB anymore. Is he better than any of Phillys OTHER MLB's? Yah. But E.J Henderson really isn't the hardest hitters in the game. xDDD Thats laughable.
Patrick Willis FTW. 174 tckls creams henderson's 118. In fact Willis had a 135 SOLO tackles on a San Francisco Defense that has literally no stars to draw the attention away.
OH YEAH BBY. [ oh. FIDDLESTICKS] IS BACKKK
Firstly, the Vikings can be a scary team next season. Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor are the best 1-2 RB punch in the NFL. They added some exciting receivers. They need a solid TE to replace Shiancoe, who has bad hands and is a bad route runner (decent blocker). Tavaris Jackson is starting to mature, but I don't think his style fits the Vikings. Minnesota should try out John David Booty, or could even get lucky if Favre turns a free agent. The Vikings have the best defensive tackle tandem, and have one of the best defensive lines. The linebacker core is decent, led by a good EJ Henderson. The Viking have great safeties, with Darren Sharper, Michael Boulware, and Madieu Williams. What needs work is the cornerbacks, who got toasted last season. And your team, the Eagles, will be competing in the toughest division in football, the NFC East. With all the improvements and natural talent of all teams, it's up for grabs this season. McNabb, LJ Smith, and Westbrook all need to stay healthy in order to contend. The Eagles did good at drafting a solid weapon in DeSean Jackson, whom McNabb needed. Asante Samuel, the best free agent CB acquisition, is a huge boost to the Eagles' secondary. Westbrook is the best complete running back in the league, and can carry the team on his back. What needs to improve the most is the Eagles defensive line. Now with the Redskins getting Jason Taylor, the Eagles are pretty far behind the defensive lines of the 3 other teams in the division. I say that because of a lopsided defense, the Eagles will finish third or fourth in the division. Possible wildcard contenders.

I say that because of a lopsided defense, the Eagles will finish third or fourth in the division. Possible wildcard contenders. With some luck and the EASY schedule that Philadelphia possess they could actually end up second in the division behind Dallas. New York lost ALOT of players that contributed majorly to thier Super Bowl run and thier pass rush. In fact, I'm not to sure if the Eagles HAVE the 3rd ranked DL in the Division. Broderick Bunkley and Mike Patterson have been consistant 3-4 sack machines, and they picked up Tackling machine DT Trevor Laws. Also, We got Trent Cole who is dominant and gets fantastic leverage with the pass rush. Also former 2nd round Pick Victor Abiamiri is a nice Pass Rushing DE, and Parker is a sleeper.
And honestly, Asante Samuel was not the CB we neccesarily needed. Yeah he gives us 3 great starting pro-bowl CBs. But still DeSean Jackson is NOT the answer at WR. We need a game breaker, probably Roy Williams is what we're going to get next season.
About the Vikings, Adrian Peterson is not going to want to share carries with CT. and it dosen't matter how GOOD AP and CT are, they stack 8-9 people in the box, they wont get ANY yardage. Tavaris Jackson was a reach 2-3 years ago and its showing now. In plus people need to remember John David Booty was a 5th round pick for a reason. Its not like he was Joe Flaaco or Chad Henne. He will need a few years to mature into a passer needs for Childress's offense.
Remember the Offense McNabb ran? You need a powerful, accurate downfield ball. Which Tavaris is not accurate. Booty has a accurate but weaker arm. They need to draft ANY quarterback next year. McNabb never had any REAL reciever in Childress's offense (Beside T.O).
And thats sadly how Tavaris is going. Berrian is a speed threat with shakey hands, and Sydney Rice is still young.

Spike The Super Saiyan nfc east 2008 results 1.Cowboys 14-2 2.Redskins 11-5 3.Giants 9-7 4.Eagles 8-8 I don't think the Cowboys will win that many games, but it wouldn't surprise me if they won the NFC East. The Redskins' offensive line, linebackers, and QB situation probably won't make them win 11 (also, they have to establish an entirely new offense in one offseason). The Giants should win 10 or 11, but linebacker loses could be key. Many starters return to the defending champions. The Eagles's defense should get a boost in their secondary, but defensive line is still a weakness. McNabb and Westbrook need to stay healthy in order for contention. ...Again, the NFC East division is up for grabs to any of these teams. Also, it could be the third straight year where this division sends three teams to the playoffs.

Spike The Super Saiyan nfc east 2008 results 1.Cowboys 14-2 2.Redskins 11-5 3.Giants 9-7 4.Eagles 8-8 Have you even looked at the Schedules? What in the right mind do you put the REDSKINS, at the top of the divison? Jason Cambell is NOT the answer at QB, Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly are too young to compete this year and Santana Moss can't catch balls through double + triple teams all day. Plus, Jason Taylor will be a significant boost but he wont make this team an 11-5 team.
Dallas most definantly won't win 14 games. That territory lays in the Colts/Pats hands. T.O has the hands of a statue, they don't have a number two reciever. Jason Witten is a fantastic TE, but they still don't have a prominant threat. Marion Barber III hasn't proven as effective as we all hoped in his debut as a full time back, and I'm not sold on Felix Jones just yet. I have them at 11-12 games. You forget, this division is the toughest in all of football, with all four being playoff contenders.
The Giants are posed to win 9-10 games, I have them being in third. Plain and Simple.
And the Eagles. Hey, guys, I hope you know we could've actually gotten a playoff birth last year. Only the Dolphins had more games lost by three points than the Eagles. I believe it was 5-4 games where Philly lost by three or less. So think about that, now Philly is 11-5. XD And that was on a second place schedule. Imagine a healthy L.J Smith who in 2006 got 15 RZ targets. A healthy McNabb and Westbrook and perhaps the emergance of Reggie Brown. The Eagles will finish second place with 10-9 wins. And will get the 6th seed in the NFC playoffs and will make it to the NFC championship and lose.

The way I see it, the best defensive line will be the most successful. Take a look at last year. The Giants...Defensive line goal line stand on 4th down to win their 1st game, against the Redskins, and to start on a roll. Sacked McNabb 12 times in NY, and 3 more in Philly. In the playoffs, they beat Dallas and New England with their defensive line. The Eagles have a great secondary and very good linebackers, but trail the other NFC East teams in defensive line, pretty drastically. I think they'll win 7-9 games (could win 10 in 6 of the 7 other divisions).

Seahawks: Prediction: 11-5
High Points/Players:
Defense: All around, it's stellar. (Don't you love that word? Stellar. Stellar. Stellar.) Specifically, we just signed Marcus Trufant to a..I believe three year deal. He's one of the best Cornerbacks in the league. The Secondary is amazing. Linebackers are lead by Tatupu, who's a three year pro-bowler in three years of play. Patrick Kerney is a-friggin-mazing. I love him. Forever. And we drafted Lawrence Jackson to add to them. Tackles are average.
Offense: Matt Hasselbeck is a good leader, and a good passer which any playoff contender needs. He has added good recievers. John Carlson...and i guess that's it. Sorry I was under the impression we had more. Whatever still we have two tight ends who aren't butterfingered. Are backfield is improving, if still not great. But our fullback Leonard Weaver has filled Mack Strong's shoes well.
Low Points:
Offense: Backfield still has room to improve. OL does too. I just found out today that we had another one retire. Chris Gray I think. Dang I remember when they were best in the league.
Special Teams: Lost Josh Brown. He's amazing. Plus we lost him to a division team, the Rams. WHY JOSH WHY!!??!! gonk

Holmgren should do well in his final year as Seattle coach. The Seattle defense is stellar. No real weak spots. I'm just concerned if their offense can carry them far into the postseason. The offensive line is good. Letting Shaun Alexander go could be a costly mistake. Julius Jones is good, but I don't like their depth behind him. Hasselbeck is good when healthy. Letting Hackett and Pollard go could be costly. Josh Brown leaving was a downer.

Chicago Bears. They're coming back this year, believe you me...anything is better than last year though. sweatdrop Draft pick could have been better...I think. Oh well, Forte and Williams are decent. Chris Williams, John Tait, Olin Kruetz, Matt Forte, Roberto Garza...the O is already looking better. Well, if Williams and his back would get better then we could see on Thursday for sure against Kansas City. Both Williams and Metcalf are down right now. I've heard people saying the Lions are going to win the division. Well, no thanks.
WR Marty Booker --- LDE Adewale Ogunleye TE Desmond Clark --- LDT Tommie Harris LT Chris Williams --- RDT Anthony Adams LG Terrence Metcalf --- RDE Mark Anderson C Olin Kreutz --- WLB Lance Briggs RG Roberto Garza --- MLB Brian Urlacher RT John Tait --- SLB Hunter Hillenmeyer WR Brandon Lloyd --- CB Charles Tillman QB Rex Grossman --- SS Brandon McGowan FB Jason McKie --- FS Mike Brown RB Matt Forte --- CB Nathan Vasher
Those are your winning starters. RIGHT THERE. (: <3

Forte looks like a good pick, but Peterson and Jones aren't so good. The offensive line is pretty bad at pass blocking. Clark is a good tight end, but they have virtually no solid wide receivers. Also, they have no QB, with Orton and Grossman topping the depth chart. They are also in a tough division, where I wouldn't be surprised if they finish last in the NFC North.

Chargers looking good going into the season, everybody is getting healthy. I haven't been a big fan of SanDiego's secondary, but the last few seasons have steadily been getting better. Can't wait to see Cromartie and Jammer at the corners and definitely can't wait to watch Weddle start.

Should go far into the playoffs if they can stay healthy. Rivers has proven that he can handle the pressure and lead the team. The backfield is definitely among the best with Tomlinson. Losing Lorenzo Neal is a big loss. Gates is among the best tight ends in the game. The receivers are a bit shallow, but Chambers should have a big year. The offensive line is very solid. The defensive line doesn't have many playmakers because they play a 3-4, but play well as a group. The linebacker core is good, especially on the outside with Merriman and Phillips. The secondary is improving vastly (Hart, Jammer, and Cromartie are a great unit). The special teams is very solid.
