"Nothing special. Just some Three Days Grace.."

She turns her head to look at Kei. Her eyes turn blood red and she blinks a few times. "You're a..." She stares for a minute, then laughs.

*looks at Jinkai and finishes her sketch. She puts the drawing pad way, but keeps out the sketch out*

"Yes, I am...so, I wouldn't say anything because from the looks from you, you are too...fun isn't? Being in a human world and just laughing at their lives, but also taunting the ones we give our Death Notes too..."

*she starts to laugh hysterically*

"Well, I will see you around, sometime."

*Kei leaves the room and walks to the courtyard and sits at a bench, while in the sun, she smiles to herself*

"I might as well do something besides drawing the girl who hung herself...25 years ago."

*after sitting in the sun, she gets up and starts to walk home*

" Yes Ryon. Something did cause me to have a bad day. Who woulda thought that this whole "changing the world by using the Death Note" thing would cause so much stress on a person.", Sapphire says.

"And yes. You are right about something. I did come here planning to continue follow the Kira case, which I still think this case is obviously pointless. I'm also here to follow a lead on who was really behind the murder of my dad."

*pacing around her room then stops and sits down at her desk turning on her computer*

*tilts her head looking a directly at Sapphire with a confused look*

"What is bothering you? I know that the Death Note can be a big responsibility and all, but you need to see that things here need to be straighten out, so why not get the revenge of your father's death," Ryon taunted.

*looks around to find somewhere to sit, sits on Sapphire's bed*

"With this notebook, you can remain its owner, and lose all memories, but I can't tell you what to do, I can try to give you suggestions of what, but can't really do anything since you have my Death Note," Ryon said without looking at her.

*gets up suddenly*

"Tomorrow, talk to Kei, she'll understand, and for now, I must leave...other business attends in the Shinigami Realm..." Ryon trails off the words and flies out suddenly.

Later that night, Kei stays in her room and goes to bed early. The following morning, Kei gets all around and heads to class early again. As the day starts, she waits outside the classroom waiting for Sapphire. As she waits, she grows impatient and goes to her seat. Before sitting, she goes to the window and sighs, turns and walks back to her seat and sits down.

Jinkai shakes her head, laughing slightly. "No, I'm not a Shinigami. Nice try, though."

*she looks at her with a cold stare*

"Oh really, Dorumaru..." Kei says staring at her. "You don't have to hide the fact that you are, I know your eyes turned red, and looked at me, and from what I can tell is that you still need to learn a few rules of this human realm..." Kei says trailing off.

*keeps her stare*

"The thing you forget is that changing your eyes are plain in sight, which you need to cover it better, because someone from this human realm might get a little freaked out, I am just saying that is all..." Kei says.

*breaks away from her stare and sits down*

"I am just saying, Dorumaru..." Kei repeats herself.

Walking into the classroom on his first day of school in Japan, Klea sighed. It was a sigh filled with home-sickness, as he missed his home and friends (while very few) in America.

"Guess I'll just have to adapt," he mumbled to himself as he sat down in a vacant desk.

He noticed, to his left, two girls who had just seemed to finish talking. The girl who seemed to sit closest (Kei) he spoke to, "Excuse me, I'm new here. I'm from America and this is my first time in a Japanese class. Could you, perhaps, inform me of any customs or activities we do in this class? In America, we said our pledge of allegiance every morning, so I was just wondering."

Being one of the few American students in class, Klea felt, would be rough. His Japanese wasn't its best, and he only knew the basic words, barely any vocabulary. He just hope this girl, Kei, spoke to where he could understand her. Little did he know the conversation the girl had just finished was one of utter importance.

*turns around to see a new guy, and smiles*

"Hi, my name is Kei, what's yours? I see that you are part of this class too, boy we get a lot of new people these days, I wonder why, but oh well..." Kei finishes talking with a little laugh.

*stares at him blankly and smiles*

"Customs? No, just when the teacher directs a question to you, you just have to stand to answer, umm...uniform is not really recommended, but you can if you want to, and umm...if you need any help, I will be around," Kei says politely.

*looks directly into the new guy's eyes and smiles more*

"Well, now we have to wait for the teacher and others to come in..." Kei says aloud.

Klea quickly spun around in his seat, as if being attacked, to face his greeter. He scanned her facial features and pondered about her name. She didn't seem to be from Japan, in fact, she seemed to be a fellow American.

"Pleasure to meet you, my name's..." he hesitated for a moment and coughed, "Klea. Excuse my cough, I have allergies. I'm not from Japan and you don't look like you are either. Please, do tell, where are you from?"

*suddenly cheery*

"Hey Sapphire! How are you?" Kei says excited.

*feels a sudden hush over the three of them*

"Morning, Sapphire, Jinkai, and Kei," the teacher says entering and noticing a new student.

"Oh welcome, Mr. ..." the teacher says more alert.

The teacher walks to the desk and takes out the attendance sheet and looks up for a moment. The other students enter the classroom and the teacher stands up.

"Today class, we have no scheduled examinations, but we do have a day coming up that is a scheduled day off...Sapphire, since you are new, I would like you to help the new student," the teacher said without looking up from the attendance sheet.

The teacher gets up and writes on the board: "Today: Write a 1500 word essay of the following, Death Penalty."

After writing the topic, the teacher motions the new guy to stand up and introduce himself.

Death penalty, huh? I wonder how radical some people will get on this subject. thought Klea. He then noticed himself being motioned to introduce himself. At the same time, his hair began to cause his ear to itch, causing him to perform the action of scratching it with his pinky as he arose from his chair to introduce himself.

"My name," Klea coughed before continuing, "is Klea. I'm from America and I've recently moved here due to my parent's job opportunity. Sorry if my Japanese is poor, the move here was sudden."

Sitting back down, he stopped scratching his ear and gazed at his bare feet. The toe nails were clipped short as was common for males. Nevertheless, he still wanted to make sure no dirt got into them.

"Hi Klea. I'm from America too. My mom's job transferred her here to Japan and now she works at Tokyo Hospital."

After Sapphire introduced herself to the new student, she said hello to Kei and Jinkai and sat down to start writing her essay.

"Death penalty, huh?," she says to herself as she starts to write,"Well, all I know is that if someone does something very evil, their only consequence is death or maybe life in prison. What's going on now is someone that goes by the name of Kira is eliminating criminals from the world one by one...."

When Sapphire got through with her 1500 word essay and turned it in to the teacher and sat back down. When the bell rung, she got up to go to her next class. Suddenly Kei caught up to her.

"Oh. Hey Kei."

A look of disgust spread like water on Klea's face as he writ about his hatred for the death penalty.

"Just because someone has committed a wrong, that doesn't give us the right to hold take their life in our own hands and decide whether or not that person dies. We're supporting criminal acts themselves. How does it make sense that the punishment for murder is murder itself? As Gandhi said, "An eye for an eye leaves a blind world."

With the death penalty, our world is quite blind, and as is said, justice is blind too. It only makes sense that our sense of justice involves the death penalty. It makes me wonder, is Kira really any different from the current justice system we have in some cases? He murders for committing crimes, and our justice system instates the death penalty. The only difference is, one was given the right? No one should have such a right, that's why Kira and the death penalty are one-in-the-same, WRONG.

Criminals have families, and even if they can not be helped with their problems, it's wronging any family by taking away that criminal. How does one explain that someone who kills out of necessity, such as for money to feed his family, has to receive the same penalty as someone who's a psychopath and kills for enjoyment? While I disagree with Kira on almost everything, the one thing I agree with him or her is that our justice system is flawed."

Having writ this, and the rest of his essay, Klea went to the paragraph with, "WRONG" and circled it several times to reinstate what he believed. He then turned his essay in as the bell rang and proceeded to walk, with a slight hunch in his back, towards his next class.
