I don't work retail... but I guess we could say I have a similar job... in that I am dealing with customers all the time, for extended periods of time...
I am a massage therapist/orthotherapist.
Basically, I do therapeutic massages all day long (about 5 hours a day)...
Some days are wonderful, clients are huggable and everything is fine in the best of worlds...
But some days... Some... clients.... scream
But for now I don't have to deal with them, so I don't have to rant about them...
I can, however, complain about something else entirely...
My boss overdid it with my schedules for the past 3 years I've worked there... and I finally ended up with an injured arm... multiple tendinitis, wrist, elbow and shoulder, on the right side.
I went to see a doctor before my left arm became as bad.
But now, I am not working... because of that. Technically, it should be considered a work-related injury, and there's a government commission here in Canada (CSST) who is supposed to help with that, when it is work related (paycheck, doctors/physiotherapy treatments, etc).
But here... They decided that my injury is not work related... well, more precisely, their doctor who read my file decided that. My CSST inspector was convinced it was work-related, my physiotherapists are, heck, even my boss knows, and all my coworkers 0_o.
But nooooo... Guess what the moron wrote in the file...
Massage therapy does not imply repetitive movements...
Massage therapy doesn't require to use much pressude on the arms...
Massage therapy doesn't require a specific rythm in work (aka, we do our own schedules/breaks/etc) F YOU! If I was my own boss maybe, not when you're working in a spa!!! scream
Oh yeah, and finally, it cannot be work-related because I am supposed to use both arms when I work, and my injury is only on the right side... I am right-handed, you effing moron! Of course the right arm will get screwed before the left one!
So, basically, I had to ask for a reevaluation of my file, and in the meantime, my physiotherapy treatments have been cut so I have to pay them myself, so I can't afford much (very, very VERY not enought for what my type of injury needs...)
... And... I don't have *any* income whatsoever for now. Thank god my fiance has a good job...
Yay, I love government.....

I have very few things at the moment that make me angry in real life, so I'm going to have a whinge about gaia xp
I surely do love these new MCs. Yessirree. The only thing I can think of that I love more, is headbutting a board covered in rusty nails and then dunking my head in lemon juice. scream
The spy ops gear is all manner of ugly. A FREAKIN' EYEPATCH!? IN AN MC!? COME ON! And what the hell is the robot cricket thing?
The radiant prism is just stupid. It's far too light and doesn't really show up, and it's just... RARGH! I hate rainbow items. Especially when they won't even match other rainbow items. Now don't get me wrong, it's a great piece of pixel art, but it's entirely useless gonk
Also, no browns or greens match, we don't have enough gloves, especially for guys and prices for sealeds are retarded. Also, EIs are ruining the fun of the MC and they're way to expensive. KILL THE CASH SHOP I SAY! KILL IT! domokun

I wasn't too thrilled with this month's MC's either, but I've come to like them. With the prism, I think the softer colors work better than bright saturated blinding rainbow colors. That would be hideous. Though you're right, these don't stand out too well against Gaia's white background.
The cash shop is getting a little out of control. $10 for a pixel item is just insane. neutral

I am NOT putting any real money for this place. So I need to collect huge amount of gold just to get one monthly item and its annoying to see what just goes by. And I'm unemployed so I do have time to click around here to actually collect gold.
Whole lot of interesting stuff goes by for I have no frigging chances of getting anything. 55,999g is cheapest of what they ask from Faunzy's Flute at marketplace. It has been released just few days ago. Yea, its good item, but gives out good example.
I have no other use to spy gear than eye patch. xp Paid quite damn much for a trademark to an avi.

Adult people. Why the hell have they act like kids and hype when others try to have serious conversation?
With my mule, in another guild happened this.. scene around topic that handled melamine poisoning. Person who started the topic goes around flaming and almost directly calling people assholes and telling to shut up if answer is not what they want to hear or see.
Chain letters and chain videos at YouTube. Good partially, bad for flooding those mess servers and give good opportunities for fake mails and vids that may contain viruses and so on.
I asked for more info, reliable sources and calmer conversation. Different point of view. Does that make me an a*****e who should shut up and keep my opinions to myself? ******** no. I can't really tell how mad I'm right now. evil

Ugh, that's pretty much why I try to stay out of most 'serious' topics on Gaia anymore. Either I get ignored completely, or flamed like you did because my opinion isn't exactly the same as someone else's. rolleyes I swear, sometimes I think there should be some sort of system that keeps jackasses off the internet.

I think in that case one reason to attack me was me being somewhat critical towards the methods she wanted to use on bringing topic up. But she did attack on another person too, just because he wasn't either full of sympathy and worry over kids that eat bad candy. I didn't even consider saying anything about those 53,000 Chinese kids (If I remember the number right. Most of those under two years) who are already sick.. I think she flamed me also that I would go on and start to talk bad about Americans.
...what the hell.

I just got invited to join the Hot Prommies Legion guild. Apparently, not only am I hot, I'm a Prommie too? When did that happen! confused This is what I get for visiting the GD for the first time in 2 years...what exactly is the definition of Prommie, anyways? My guess is she just looked at my join date, but I would think there would be more to Prommie status than just having joined in early '04.

rofl I avoid the GD like the plague, the whole prommie thing is ridiculous! Saying that there was all sorts of drama in the AT last night too about elitism. Which makes me laugh evilly and watch the drama unfold, internet arguements are hysterical to watch.

And yes, arguing in Internet is fools job. Still I sometimes end up to it. That last case got solved. Single mother over-reacted but did not even apologize when I contacted and told that she offended me. Manners... xp That was a test and she failed.

Some people probably don't feel the need to apologize over the internet. Hard for them to think of those words on the screen as other people, maybe. rolleyes
I'm irritated a bit with trying to level as a dark elf in this Halloween event. I didn't think that practically EVERYBODY would also be a dark elf...by the time I find someone to attack, they're already dead! emo

I'd see apologizing over Internet is easier than face to face. I'm of those people who find it very hard to admit openly that I've made a mistake and when I have to say it out loud it feels almost like having to put yourself front of guillotine. xp
Aye, being Dark Elf was pain in the a**. Everything was taken and I was lucky to even hit once in a while. People seem to like those way too much. I just get the items and run like hell.

GD is thegeneral discussion forum, its filled with drama queens...
I went dark elf as soon as the event began so i got through the levels pretty quick, then i had having that problem with humans instead so i gave up halfway through and switched to vamp..surprise surprise i get killed constantly by hordes of dark elves and cant get past level 3 gonk
