In that vein, I have been able to hit a milestone. Between stress, inaccability to food while working, and 10 hour shifts, I have managed to lose a significant amount of weight. I would estimate between 50 and 75 pounds. I know that is a wide margin, but to be fair I did not know my exact starting weight. I do know that I am under 300 for the first time in about 25 years.

While certainly not an advised way to accomplish it, nonetheless congratulations! If nothing else, your future knees will thank you.

Don't get me wrong- I am still massively overweight. I am just smaller than my memory. That is a milestone I can be proud of. Though you are correct. This is not the preferred method.
I attribute it to stress, and adding a hell of a lot of fruit to my diet. Like a can of fruit a day. My lunch typically consists of a can of food (like chef boyardee), and a can of fruit.

At the very least, focus on keeping off the lost weight. smile
Even though the food pyramid is unbalanced, actually following it doesn't produce bad results compared to the more typical american diet, all things considered (most don't get their veggie & fruit servings daily).

I can't claim I am eating 'healthy.' I can only say that I have stopped eating as much garbage. Still have nearly all my Christmas candy, and only eat small amounts every now and again. That, combined with a lot of water, and eating more fruit seems to be it. Between the stress and the changes to eating I have achieved a lot of loss. Wewt.

Still, not eating as unhealthily is in effect the same as eating more healthily, like a spectrum.

A valid point. Making better choices, even small ones, can add up over time.

Ugh, flu... -_- It's everywhere this year since the flu vaccine targeted the wrong strain and it only 25% as effective this year. I don't get the flu vaccine, but the lack of herd immunity (or just plain chance) means I've got it. Thankfully it's a "walking flu", so I can still work (if only remotely).

Somehow (between good health habits, and a diet rich in fruit and analgesics like garlic and onions) i have not been ill in quite some time. Of course, i likely just jinxed myself....
Kinda jonsing to play my bleach character again. Not necessarily as a shimigami, but that style of a**....

Nice, I wish I had as good of a constitution. I usually only get 1 sickness per year that'd keep me home more than 1 day at a time. During my overtime (and likely mostly due to my lack of sleep back then), I felt malaise frequently.
Ah, going to insert them into your daughter's campaign, perhaps?

Yeah, well, when you don't take care of yourself, your health will suffer.
Not really sure. Players have yet to materialize, so the game is still a pipe dream.

sweatdrop Yeah...
Not surprised it's hard to drum up interest in teen girls for what it such a male typical hobby. Of course there are systems that have broader appeal (Storyteller/ing) than others (D&D).

I offered to do the hard part (running). My daughter is trying to peer pressure her friends into it. If it comes to be, then yay. If not . . . cest la vie.

The adventure path my DM & I started was going well but work & illness have gotten us out of our regular schedule; here's hoping it doesn't die...
