As soon as she was picked up she began to come through... and started to flail. In her dream she was being carted off by some nude man and suddenly had a fleeting moment of conscience... and with a loud cry she was suddenly protesting against Orian.

Once she opened her eyes and realized she was awake, things only become worse. Blushing a bright red and panicking a little once she saw where she was being taken, she assumed the worst and only flailed more in what she perceived a fight for her "virtue" if you will.

Orian managed to make it to the bed at least, backing off as she flailed, giving him a black eye and a busted lip in the process. "M'lady? Are you alright? Did I do something wrong?" He stood a safe distance away, wringing his hands, looking mortified. He still wasn't sure about all the local customs. He was just trying to be nice and make sure she didn't get a krink in her neck or something. He stared at his feet, blushing slightly. Why had she flailed so, did she think...? No, she couldn't, could she? He just blushed a deeper crimson, the blush extending to his eartips.

Huffing and puffing more out of exerting herself flailing than any real panic attack, she felt guilty and somewhat mortified herself. Why was she doubting Orian and his intentions? Because he was so damned charming! But now... he was blushing bright red... was that out of embarassment because he was caught red-handed or because he was afraid of what she thought he was doing. Ugh... this was confusing. She could just imagine what everyone would say now that she had given the poor man a fat lip and purple eye.

"I'm... sorry." Now turning red again, she was re-thinking why she was even here. She obviously was avoiding two men, had just beat one, and gods know who else she was bothering.

Orian just shakes his head, smiling a little. "Its fine M'lady. I've taken worse when i walked into a wall. I'm tougher then I look." He gently pulls the covers up, tucking her in. "So my Ill one, is there anything I can do for you? More soup perhaps? Or maybe something else?" He sits in a chair near the bed, but far enough back to be unthreatening.

"N-No. I... I should be going" She fidgeted and then jumped out of the bed, fumbling as she started to pull her things together. What was she thinking? Belonging here? All she did was sleep here and get sick from the huge weather changes... and although the latter didn't bother her much, it made a good excuse.

Throwing her small amount of personal effects in a bag she did a brief survey of the room, avoiding Orian's look. If she looked at him she would start feeling guilty about the whole escapade that had just passed all over again.

Standing, Orian gently took one of Sy's hands. "Don't say that M'lady. Your as much a part of this island now as I am. More so, as you have known these people longer." He gently kissed her hand. "Besides, if you left, the sun would seem a little dimmer, due to your beauty being gone from this place." He blushed a little, and gently took her bag from her, leading her back to the bed. "Besides, your sick, so you shouldn't be traveling anywhere. You should stay at least long enough to get well again."

She was so flustered by his kind words she started to reply several times and was at a loss to say anything at all. Everything he said only made her more and more flattered, but at the same time she doubted it. Sure, she was of an average charisma, but she would hardly make the sun dim... somehow she doubted she'd really be that sorely missed. It wasn't like she was depended on here. In Mufei, sure, but not *here.*

"I... I have no place here, really. I have a job elsewhere, so I can't even work here like you... and I... I just shouldn't be here. Really." She resisted getting in bed again and reached for her bag.

Sighing gently, he pulled Sy into a gentle hug, his mechanical hand gently lifting her face so he could look into her eyes. "You do so have a place here. Alyosha wouldn't have offered you a room here if you didn't. All it means is that you havn't found it yet." He smiled, gently kissing her cheek. "And you do realize that even if you do decide to leave, i'm not going to let you leave until you have gotten better? Or else how could I ever call myself a gentleman for not nursing a lady back to health when she was ill?"

Gently, he let her go, taking her hand and leading her towards the bed again. "At least sit down? You need to be off your feet, so as to heal faster."

It was hard to reconcile to herself to the notion of being a lady considering her rather... bloody past, so for once she was staring at him in disbelief and bewilderment rather than just embarassment. Although she was still a bright shade of pink. A hug and a kiss... the last person to give her that was a relative. Gads! Why was she getting all distracted! This couldn't end well... she had already failed miserably at these social tests.

Besides, she didn't like changing her mind because it often meant that she was wrong in the first place.

"I- I'm fine. I even went to work today," she offered. Okay, so her eyes were watery, her throat sore, and her nose stuffed up, but other than that and a mild headache, she was fine. At least she wasn't coughing or sneezing anymore.

"You, M'lady, are not fine. You need bed rest. Going to work most likely just made it worse. Now are you going to listen to me, or am i going to have to be evil, sweep you off your feet, and tuck you into bed again?" He smiles again, gently kissing her hand. "And i'm serious about wanting you to stay around. Your prolly the person i know best around the island. Well, that might not be saying much, but, well." He shrugs a little, and then cocks an eyebrow at her. "So are you going to get some rest?"

"All I DO is rest," she vented with some mild frustration, with set her to pacing in the room with restlessness. Now that she was awake she had no mind to going back to sleep... even if she had been woken up by an exterior force. Besides, she was of a stubborn nature and the more he wanted her to sleep and tried to coax her into it, the more flustered and resolved she was not to.

"Knowing best doesn't really help you," she replied with continued pacing. After all, she was the drama queen who always had something going on compared to this quiet, calm, serene island. She wanted to preserve that tranquility... and the sort of person who deals with death everyday, even in a healthy sort of way, couldn't be good for that.

Orian just smiled, sitting down, watching Sy pace. "Oh? and how does knowing best not help me? Is it wrong for me to feel comfortable with the person i know best on the island?" To stop her pacing, he gently caught her hand, pulling her towards himself, catching her in a gentle hug that she could escape if she wanted to, his flesh and blood hand gently running through her long hair as he held her, wispering in her ear. "Besides, as I said, it would be a shame to lose someone as beautiful as yourself from the island. Fate brought you here for a reason, and i'm sure that the reason will be made apparent eventually. Until then, just relax and enjoy the place, and try to not worry about anything, ne?"

She was caught breathless with his gentle touch, his soft whisper or reassurance. Was she more scared or touched? Flattered or bewildered? No.. no, everytime someone had treated her this nice... but maybe this was different? More genuine? She didn't know... and couldn't think. Couldn't breathe or think clearly... nothing made sense like it did back before... when had it ever made sense?

Blushing, she pulled away and refused to look him in the eyes. If he knew what she did, what she was, she could accept this consolation more... but only Aly she had felt saw her true nature, and that was accidental. He could be an acquaintence, a friend, but even the threat of more made her panic.

"You... don't know me. I can't relax where I don't belong... this was a mistake. A mistake brought me here, nothing more." And with that she grabbed her bag and started for the main room of the centre, trying to get away from everyone so she could think clearly and go home.

Orian decided to make one bold move. Just before she left her room, he gently drew her back, holding her again, wispering in her ear. "And if I wanted to get to know you better?" He smiled, kissing her cheek before wispering in her ear again. "Go if you must, but promise me you will be back." With that, he let her go, to do as she wished, as he paced down the hall into his own room, leaving the door open, just sitting in a chair, holding a glass of water, looking off into the distance.

Alyosha
Captain

Alyosha walked into the room, via the front dors. He was overwarm and tired, having been up all the night before on an emergency visit to Ar'Idil. In his arms was a bundle, about the size of a housecat which he carried with care. From the bundle came loud "Keee-aaa kee-aaa" sounds.

"Hmm... now.. where is she" he wondered to himself. "Sy!" he called out, wondering if she was nearby.
