Quint B.

Quint swelled with purpose, staring into the abyss of Dizzy's pupils. For a moment he felt guilty, pecking at an obivously confused girl, but that soon changed after her revised warning was heard and felt, deep within his chest.

"Miserable speck.." He picked apart her words, "Haven't heard it used like that in a long time. Most people today resort to curses.." Turning fully, Quint tensed his feet, "Still, I don't respond well to threats.

Talk is cheap, y'know?" Now he took off the lightly tinted shades over his eyes, they adjusting to get a better view of the lady's body.

Dizzy

"And actions speak louder than words, so let's rock!"
She charged for Quint, feet moving her forward quickly. She closed the distance in a moment and spun on her right foot, lashing out with her left in a straight kick to his gut, attempting to hit him in the solar plexus with a quick, piston-like action. She didn't really expect it to work, she was already pushing off with her right foot, jumping up to twist and bring her right foot down in a hammer kick aimed at his shoulder.

Taking a nice breath of fresh air, Quint smiled. Usually about this time in a match he had to worry about some type of magic opener, or someone who could fly. Neither were presented from Dizzy, yet she was pretty quick on her feet, so ideas were altered for caution.

Standing loosly, Quint caught the straight leg with both hands, the force sending him back a couple inches. Thinking he was in the clear, he threw a left hand to punish her leg, and just then her other leg found its target just between the bicep and shoulder, nullifying his counter.

Gritting his teeth, he tossed her leg skyward, which would lead Dizzy into a simple backwards flip, allowing Quint to gain some space.

Since she looked to be a brawler, he altered his stance into that of traditional Aikido, literally asking her with his fists to come again.

Dizzy

Dizzy felt him catch her fist kick and grimaced. that would have been a bad spot, he could have twisted her leg and brought her down, but luckily her second kick had saved her from that rather ignoble result. Instead, she pushed off of him and flipped back, to hit the ground in a three-point landing.
She saw he changed his stance to somethign better match for physical combat, but didn't let that change her plan. She charged for him again, this time lowering her center of balance to make a smaller target as she tried to hit him in the gut with a simple shoulder tackle. Her right arm folded under her, to protect her own gut from a counter attack, her left arm was at the ready, to deflect if he tried to kick on that side of her.

Bracing himself, Quint watched as Dizzy flew in again, this time using a bit more of her speed to rush effectively. Without a major limb to counter, Quint was forced to throw one of his own, bringing up his left leg to knee Dizzy in her exposed head, it unprotected during her charge. She was pretty quick on her feet however, making Quint unable to bring a solid blow from his back leg.

Dizzy

Dizzy was already charging for Quint when she saw his leg come up, aimed to hit her directly in the head. Her momentum was too much to simply stop herself, the coming collision wouldn't be able to be diverted from her side. Instead, she moved her left arm to act as a buffer to the kick. It was a bad impact, she felt her arm spasm with pain. But it wasn't as bad as if she had gotten hit in the head. even so, she still felt a little rattled, a little woozy and unbalanced.
Because of that, her tackle wasn't nearly as good as she could have done. If it hit, all it would do would be to push Quint back, with a slight chance of knocking him over. She was in no condition to follow that up with another attack, however. She only barely kept her own feet under her, and straightened up, trying to regain her bearings.

Having taken his opponent lightly, Quint underestimated the impact she brought with her tackle. Combine that with his left leg still recovering from striking, and Quint's balance crumbled, he slamming onto the leaves underneath. He lied there a second longer than usual, using those few moments to find his 'fighting legs'.

Rising to his feet, he reversed. Bringing both hands close together, he used a couple bats to skid amongst the ground, giving the impression of running quickly. Inside his hands there was a clear aura, like gas vapor, it clouding his hands, looking to be in a few different places at once. Once close, he threw a simple jab, and there was a knee following.

Dizzy

Dizzy barely managed to stand upright by the time Quint was charging towards her. She was still slightly off-balance, she wouldn't be able to counter-attack what was coming. throwing her hands up to try to block, the two wings at her back flapped, growing slightly larger as each seemed to form a face for an instant before returning to their normal shape. She didn't seem to notice this, instead she was focused on the attack. She blocked the jab with her crossed arms, but wasn't fast enough to move to block the knee. It caught her in the gut, knocking her up and back as she crashed into the brush at their feet.
She got back to her feet quickly, however, and went into a ready stance. Moving one leg slightly back and to the side, she turned herself to create a smaller profile. At the same time, she moved her arms into position. Nor formal stance, this was just an all-purpose ready position to give her a good starting point for either an offensive or defensive move.

With Quint's attention on Dizzy's torso, the main place he watches for movement, he neglected to see her wings shift into facades and back again. A cool sweat began to form on his head, but he dismissed that as well..

Breathing through his mouth, Quint didn't even pause as Dizzy changed her stance. Throwing out his right arm, he clenched it tight, pointed at the woman. In a matter of moments, his arm would start to a soft purple, giving one sign that this wasn't meant to be a quick spell. Another would be the soft gritting of his teeth, he taking long sucks of air behind them.

Dizzy

Dizzy saw Quint level his arm at her, as it began to glow with a purplish energy. No stranger to magics herself, she knew that something was coming, something she wouldn't want to be hit by. And of course, the bigger a magic was, the longer or more intricate the time required to prepare it. If she was going to disturb the casting, she had to move now.
Dashing forward, she used a smooth gait that would let her change directions easily. MAybe not enough to avoid something too fast, but enough that she could do a decent attempt at it. Her main goal was getting close enough to attack and wreck Quint's focus. She lashed out with a spinning roundhouse kick, although it was actually a feint. The real attack was her other leg, coming up quickly behind her first in an upward-sloped heel aimed for the underside of his chin.
Unless he intercepted her attack, she'd fall to the ground, and push off with her hands to flip back to an upright position facing him.

("Dizzy's torso, the main place he watches for movement..." Haha, do you do that for everyone, or only the developed ladies?)

Understanding Dizzy's motives, he employed a technique that was far from safe. Narrowing his eyes, Quint kept his arm clenched as Dizzy kicked him once in his torso, and again squarely under his chin, his eyes leaving hers once his neck snapped back. Still, the reason he sat there and took thses powerful blows was to keep his charge, Quint using the momentum and a couple of his booster-type bats to moonsault backwards, allowing him time to realign his eyes with hers.

Once landing, he grinned, showing off bloddied teeth, and now a small abrasive scar from the contact. A feint to 'show' he was okay, when quite the opposite was true. In order for him to retain what he had chanted, there was no way he could think about his own person, Quint now feeling that a couple ribs were bruised, making his already shallow breaths even harder to get in.

A small ring in his head said it was time, and with his arm now a deep color, Quint fired at Dizzy. At first, there were a few wispy gusts of air, but over a couple moments it intensified into huge blasts of arctic air. Not long after initial blast, about three seconds, huge chunks of ice surrounded his opponent, a final glacial piece intented to drop directly overhead.

"Absolute."

((I'd do that for everyone, thinking that it is the main place--

Lawl, no, I just do that for women. Though, it would be sort of tough to try and move ahead without using your hips or stomach..))

Dizzy

Dizzy saw that her hits landed, that he had intentionally taken the damage from them. That wasn't good, if he was willing to take the attack head-on, that meant he felt confident in the power of whatever he was charging. With that, she saw he was ready to activate it. She knew there wasn't time left to disturb his focus, instead there wasn't much time for much of anything. She saw wind swirl around his arm, cold wind. She could feel the chill grow more and more intense, and soon chunks of ice materialized all around her.
A shadow flickered across the ground, something was above her. Dizzy whipped her head up to look at it, but it was too close, there was no chance of her dodging it. That was not to say she was defenseless, however. The white wing at her back fluttered, and warped, taking the form of an all-white maiden with a serene look on her face. She looked up at the huge chunk of ice, and waved a hand. Numerous glowing spears of ice burst forth, stabbing at the miniature glacier. They gouged into it, both breaking it apart and slowing it's momentum.
"Undine, no!"
Dizzy was looking at the form of her wing with an expression closer to fear that relief, even though it had just saved her from the glacier. She knew that the fact that Undine had manifested to help her was abad sign, would the other wing be far behind? She didn't want to lose herself again! The only chance she had was to finish the fight before that happened! As the last chunks of glacier crashed against the ground, Undine turned back into a normal wing, and Dizzy frowned. With all the ice around her, it'd be hard to take advantage of her speed, to get close enough to attack. She had no choice, though. She ran as fast as she dared, vaulting over the smaller pieces and dodging around the bigger ones.

((Move, yeah. But spellcast?))

"Undine?" Quint whispered to himself, arm falling to his side, he unwilling to upset the drained appendage at the time. To him, Undine was a water spirit, able to bring water to deserts, and make wastelands of cities with massive tsunamis. Still with smaller pieces of ice falling to the ground, he gave out a quick order to his bats, who then melted from his body, burrowing underground. Soon, the bats would appear from the ground as thin spears, looking to impale Dizzy. Problem was that to get through the tough ground, the spears gave out a small warning of rising earth before puncturing through it.

Quint hoped that they would serve as a brief distraction, biding time for him to both recover and hopefully see this Undine for himself.

((Spellcasting is even easier. Most times there's some type of change in the person casting, either visually, or in an aura you can feel. Unless they were trying to get you behind a wall, you'd be able to easily know what they're doing.))

Dizzy

Dizzy continued her charge towards Quint, vaulting over chunks of ice or around the bigger ones. This proved to be a mistake. Just as Dizzy landed on the side of a chunk of ice in front of Quint, the bats launched up at her. There was no time to dodge, although she tried. She managed to avoid the worst of the hits, but several still cut at her, causing brief splashes of red as they struck flesh. Wincing in pain, she faltered, but pushed herself to keep moving. She hadn't noticed the bats had gone to ground, as it were, and they'd surprised her. But now that she knew they were there, she could feel the slight shifting of the ground as they prepared to attack. This let her avoid further strikes, and close the distance between her and Quint. She stepped in close and spun on one foot, using the centripetal force to amplify the open palm strike she was hoping would hit him squarely in his gut. She'd try to strike fast, and follow it with a rising fist aimed to push him back more than strike fully upwards.

Without the fortune of spotting Undine, and now lacking his bats, Quint was in a bit of a rut, finding it quite difficult to keep up with Dizzy. Still with the strong sting in his arms, Quint raised his good arm, but was only able to bring his forearm down to contain the strike. Dizzy's uppercut hit him squarely in the chest, Quint lifted into the air. Here, one could clearly see his eyes squint, not from however, the blows he endured. This was a part of himself some would call 'serious'.

Landing on his feet, then down to a three point stance with his knees, Quint looked up at Dizzy with a bit of malice. As he got to his feet, the bats, who had finished their attack, slowly oozed back to their temporary master, he stopping them. With a new mental order, they solidified into a dark war hammer, complete with a spike opposite of the mace.

Picking this new weapon up, Quint kept it steady on his shoulder, his off, pained arm out in front of him, shaking slightly, but numb from the heat of the moment.
