These're some quotes from one of my former phys/astro teacher's professors through college: Eugene Grim. He refuses to acknowlege the titles "Professor Grim" and "Dr. Grim", he only replies to "Mr. Grim."  Mr. Grim Says: "It is as easy to understand the Universe through scientific instruments as it is to appreciate a Picasso viewed through a soda straw." Mr. Grim Says: "What is the half-life of Truth on the internet?" Mr. Grim Says: "Lets reform the school system to make it more line a top notch video game. Every time you die (fail), you get some goofy music and are immediately offered the chance to try again. Every tiny success is rewarded with flashing lights and some silly music, and a really big success is rewarded with explosion graphics and nifty sound effects. Teachers, you will all wear helmets that look like computer monitors from the front, the kids can fiddle with your brightness and volume controls at will of course, but you don't have to actually plug yourself in unless you really want to. Multiple choice tests will be replaced by interactive games played with a controller, you can take the 'test' as many times as you wish, of course, but you have to "complete the challenge!" before you get to move on to the next level. This is genius! Why, we'll have kids shouting: "Yeah! I BEAT the Algebra level!!!" in no time. Hey, somebody get Sony's game division on the phone, if they bought Columbia Studios, they'll buy anything - maybe even the American educational system. Just remember: 'No Child Unplugged!'"
