Keni cackled darkly as he handed Duck his dessert. "I 'm liking you more and more as this dinner goes on Duck." He grabbed his own bowl noticing the cofusion on his brother's face. "Good dessert Shortcake."
Jeremy finished the sundaes just as his brother took Joe's and his own. He grabbed his bowl shuddering as he heard Keni cackling. that was never a good sign. He looked at the two confusion evident on his face. He ate a bit of his sundae which was more whipped cream then anything else.

Haruka smiled, "I have it!" he called, he was already walking slowly down the street, holding both their bags. He was smiling brightly back at Takeru, waiting for him to catch up.
Joe smiled at Keni, "Well, don't jump to conclusions yet, I'm not as nice as I may seem!" he warned, with a wink. He turned to Jeremy, smiling warmly at him as he finished his own dessert quickly, realizing how late it was, "Well, maybe I could walk you two to school tomorrow?" he offered, tipping his head slightly.

Takeru looked back over at Haruka and just walked to him quickly before he grabbed his bag from Haruka's hand and took out his gauntlets before he put them on. He let out a sigh before he looked back at Haruka. "Never take these away from me got it?"

Jeremy felt himself blush and nodded. "I'd like that. Did you enjoy dinner?" He ate his dessert enjoying how cold it was compared to the warmth of his face.
Keni returned Duck's wink. "I'd be honored to walk to school with you. I could always use a hand with keeping shortcake from triping." He grinned finishing his dessert and taking his and Duck's bowl to the dishwasher.

Harukas ears pinned down, and he looked away, falling silent. He adjusted the way his bag rested on his shoulder, wincing as it pressed on the cuts. He simply continued to walk in silence, staring at the street as the cars flew past.
Joe smiled at Jeremy, "Yes, it was great!" he answered happily, turning to Keni, "Thanks..." he said as Keni took his bowl, "Deal, I'll see you tomorrow morning then!" he said, handing Keni the money he'd told them about. He walked towards the door, smiling at them, "Night kids." he said, stepping out and closing it behind him.

Takeru let out a sigh as he just flexed his hands inside his gauntlets again. He just followed behind Haruka for a while in the silence until he spoke up. "You don't really know what these do, do you Haruka?"

Haruka paused, "No... how would i?" he replied, looking back at him, "I could guess though..." he muttered, looking at an oncoming truck, "What do they do?" he asked, looking back again, his eyes dimmed at the truck shot past. Should i take the back road? or go straight? he pondered, his ears twitching.

Takeru scratched the back of his head a bit. "Well maybe I should first tell you a tiny bit about my parents then..." He let out another sigh before he just looked back down to Haruka. "Well when I said I was the hell spawn to my family to your father I wasn't kidding. My real parents aren't demons, but instead are angels."

Haruka slowed to walk beside him, "How?" he asked, blinking in confusion. He wondered if he should be fair and tell Takeru more about his past as well, but was worried how Takeru would take it if he ever did tell him. He simply smiled at Takeru, eager to know more about him.

Takeru shrugged some for a second before he continued. "Demons were once angels you know. Its just a rare chance that an angel gives birth to a demon. The only thing is most demons born to angelic parents have the tendency to not be in control of their body. Their demonic side over powers their reason and makes them kill or destroy anything around them. There are few relics that can help keep this side under control. Hell I really have two personalities, this one you know and then my demonic side." Takeru like out a slight yawn for a second like he always did while he talked as he continued to walk with Haruka. "The thing is though, that my gauntlets have a small piece of the relic that controls my true nature. Your father saw a small glimpse of the real me right before I left actually."

Haruka blinked, and pondered for a moment, "I see...." he muttered, now regretting taking them away from Takeru in the first place. He bit his lip, deciding to remain quiet about his own past. Its not like he wants to know! Haruka told himself firmly, what would i say anyway? he paused, blinking again, "So... your family doesn't like the fact your a demon?" he wondered aloud, then realized what he'd said, and quickly covered his mouth, "S-sorry, that was very rude of me!" he scratching the back of his head, mentally yelling at himself to keep his mouth shut next time.

Takeru just smiled a bit after Haruka said everything and gently rubbed the top of his head while he still had his gauntlets on. He made sure that he didn't hurt him though. "Nope, not one bit. Almost all of my family hate me for it and I hate all of them too."

Haruka winced again, still overcome by the drastic change in emotions, but smiled warmly at Takeru, "Well..." he tried to think of something nice to say, "I like you! and who cares what they think? your awesome the way you are!" he said, and blushed crimson, hows that going to help!? he blinked frantically, shaking his head, "um... t-thats not what i mean..." he fell silent, trying to think of a way to back track.

Takeru laughed a bit as he bent over and gave Haruka a short kiss before he stood back up straight again. "Thanks.." He let out another sigh as he looked up toward the clouds. "You know, I do think it would have been cool to be able to fly around though."

Haruka winced again, and blushed, smiling, "And i wish i still had a tail." he chuckled, looking up as well, "though i guess that would be fun..." he muttered, blinking. Maybe Takeru can, just hasn't found out how yet... he though, his eyes wondering over to Takeru, he smiled, enjoying the warm breeze that went past.
((lol what time of year should it be? summer? xd just thought of that, sorry. xp ))
