I was wondering if I could post lessons earlier. Due to the fact that I'm going to disappear off the face of earth soon ( 20.09.08 to 09.10.08 ) because of finals at my school, if I could post my lessons earlier, people would be able to learn and do homework before I reappear. Then, after my disappearance, I could come back to mark the homework.

I'm not really sure of the rule about posting lessons before term begins, but I don't really see a problem with making this exception. I think it would be best for you to post them beforehand than not at all.
Let's see who all visit this thread:
If you are already approved for one class you have the option now to apply for your second choice. Please just post the application again.

Hogwarts Teaching Application
1. About how long have you been a part of the Guild? Almost 2 months now.
2. How many posts have you made? 76
3. Have you ever been enrolled in any other classes with this guild and were you diligent with the homework that was assigned to you? No, not yet, but I'm enrolled in a few right now.
4. Class(es) you are applying for, first and second choices only. Herbology
5. Professor's name and user name, so RP and otherwise (RP characters are welcomed, if not wanted but not required): I would be Professor Laurel Branch ( username= Magyc7 )
6. Why you want to teach here at Hogwarts: I know enough about plants and their uses, both magical and mundane, and would love to share this knowledge with others.
7. What will class be like under your instruction? Can you give an example of what one of your lessons will look like? And perhaps how you think you will set up the class? (You can just give a brief description if you'd like) I will teach about the plants, their uses, and how to care for them. There would be a new plant every few days or so and a quiz once a week.
8. Can you give us any references? Someone who is part of the guild. (The more active and trusted, the better. And they better know they're your reference before you send in this application.) Nobody here really knows about my knowledge of herbs...
9. What do you have that any other of the applying teachers don't have: Teaching experience? I help my mom (she's a teacher) write her lesson plans all the time, but if someone else applies with experience teaching on Gaia, they should get the job instead.
10. In case you do not get the class you applied for (either first or second) would you consider "substituting" for the class? I would be more than happy to substitute.
11.Anything else you would like to add: Sorry if I'm inexperienced and only a first year, but I'll do my best!

ATTENTION:There is an opening for a temporary head nurse position!
Due to circumstances beyond Madam Basore's control she must take leave of the school take care of "personal" problems outside of school. If you know anyone with the qualifications necessary to treat physical and magical injuries, please have them report to the Hospital Wing. Please be advised, it is unknown when Madam Basore will return to he position.

Yes, I was enrolled in DADA: intermediate, History of Magic, and Muggle Studies last term. I was very diligent with my work and turned in all of my homework on time.

Astronomy.

I want to teach because I love helping others learn. I had fun teaching it last term, and I think both the students and I learned a lot.

I will post a new lesson and assignment roughly each week (a total of 5 lessons), and an exam at the end of term. Each lesson will contain information on 1 or 2 planets.

I am very responsible and organized, I’m able to get on Gaia usually every day, and I taught this class last term.

48 at this point. That is mainly due to the fact I got really busy with my full time job. (Which I no longer have now lol)

Only the house elf class and I was until our teacher mysteriously vanished

This is the place to be, and I want to help make it a fun learning experience!

I will post one or 2 homework assignments per week, possibly a midterm, and definately an exam. I would would set the classroom up so that it is organized, according to standards, and as aesthetically appealing as I can make it. I would set up a lesson with a description of the charm I am teaching, accompanied with a picture as an example, and go into detail on how the specific charm works.

I understand it is hard to trust first years, but I am 21 years of age in real life, and in college. If I recall correctly, Voluptuous Jon was a 1st year too when he first taught Charms... went on to teach it again for a few consecutive terms which was really nice...
... biggrin
Since we missed having a Charms teacher around for our last term, and since we are EVER so desperate for teachers right now, I'll say... yes!
The Avatar Nymph, you may teach Charms. Go ahead and prepare your classroom. ^_^ Remember that classes will start on March 16th. Do me proud, girl!

3. Have you ever been enrolled in any other classes with this guild and were you diligent with the homework that was assigned to you? I just have been sorted, but I was part of how to be a house elf. Icee was absent at the time, so no homework was given, but I will be, unless something sudden comes up in the real world

6. Why you want to teach here at Hogwarts: Because I enjoy learning and teaching history classes or Language classes. My goal will to be provide a good class for students to learn about the required teaching to help them thrive in the wizardry world.

I have a lot of activeness. I'm on for about an hour or two each day, unless I have a tournament, and the knowledge of history.
