"Maybe we'll find out." Kahlilia said, smiling sheepishly, and then shrugged lightly.
"Yeah, thats true." She laughed a little. "Nothing wrong with that." However, that didn't stop the curiosity from flitting around in her brain like a crazed fly. Oh well, what Benvolio and Phoenix knew they would keep to themselves, and they couldn't shake them at all.
"Maybe I could teach Ben to run, like, full sprinting, because he's so hyper... but I'm not exactly sure if that idea will stick." She couldn't hold in her giggle when Phoenix snorted at Roman. "Don't deny it, Phoenix." She said laughingly. A high pitched neigh from Kelly's stall made the smile fade in a split second. The color drained from her face and she took on the appearance of a deer in headlights.

Roman smiled. "A racer. That might be interesting, especially in combination with a jumper." At the neigh, he looked up, alarmed. "What is it?" he asked, seeing the look of shock on Kahlilia's face. He glanced from the stall the neigh had come from to Kahlilia, frowning. "Is something--?"
Then he paused, and crossed to Kahlilia. Looking at her seriously, he asked simply, "What's the problem?" He would have gone to the stall to check, but Kahlilia looked like she was about to faint.

Oh. Alright. Do you need anything? Keith's attention was brought short by the group on horses as they headed towards the river. His eyes narrowed on Nanina and he scowled at his feet for a moment before letting his soft gaze fall on Emily.
Nanina points to the woods and says, Through there about five acers[sp?] then you'll find it. She raised her voice so the two siblings would hear her.

" No. your presence is enough" Emily replied noticing the group heading towards the river. Her eyes shifted to Keith who was scowling at the ground. She simply smiled when his eyes turned onto hers'.

"How about a race," Summer called back to the others. She then pulled her horse up next to Chris's and match his pace.
"I'm game, how about you Xavier?" Chris asked slowing his horse and waiting for the others to catch up..

"Cool, I'm up for a race." He smirked at the three around him. "It would be fun." He wanted to go to the river really badly, and this was the perfect time to do it - even if he had to ride there and back alone.
"T-That was Kelly... shes one of the really pregnant horses, and I think... " She walked towards the stall, not running only because it would startle the horses even more. Kelly, who was in the stall next to Benvolio's, was lying on the ground and looking and them with helpless, pained eyes.
"Wheres Shannon? I-I don't know what to do." As Kahlilia said this in a weak, quiet voice, she opened Kelly's stable door and sat down on her knees next to her.

Nanina squeezed Bessie's sids and the cow colored horse lunged forward, bypassing X and heading for the tree's. Race to the river then? She called, smiling brightly.
Keith's scowl softend and he smiled easily, brushing his knuckles over Emily's cheekbone. Is it?

" Yes it is Keith" Emily replied gazing up at him with softened eyes. She couldn't help but hear her heart pounding three times as fast as it shoiuld. Her hand reached out and settled where his heart was.

At the contact his heartbeat sped up and he covered her hand with his own. Emily. I rea- He paused and his gaze shifted. He licked his lips and started over. I think I'm getting feelings for you.

Emily felt her heart soar at his words. She slowly moved closer to him and gazed up at him with bright and smiling eyes.
" I..I have started to develop feelings for you as well" Emily confessed resisitng the urge to suddenly kiss him right then and there. She stood on her toes and brushed her lips against his cheek instead.

Keith turned his head and pressed a soft kiss to her lips. Yay. He whispered, a smile lifting his lips.

" Yeah" Emily whispered back with a small smile. She felt the sun hit her face and guessed it was past four. But she didn't matter what time it was, all that mattered was that she was with him.

Summer kicked her horse into a gallop racing with Nanina to get to the river before anyone else did. "Last one there has to do a dare," Summer called over her shoulder her horse coming up fast on Nanina's.
Chris had picked up his pace when he heard what Xavier said so he was ahead but no by much.

"What would the dare be?" Xavier called to Summer as he signaled Lady into a steady canter. She seemed mild-mannered, but had become what could have been racing material. Xavier was happy, and it showed. He was chuckling, even laughing a little as he caught up with the others.

Roman cursed softly under his breath. "She went to town," he replied briefly. "With Ez. Listen, Kahlilia, get out of there. We shouldn't get in the stall with her unless she needs help." Desperately drawing on all he remembered from the books and his chats with his family's vet, he said, "I don't know which vet they use, or where anyone is. But Kelly should be able to handle this on her own. If not, we'll...figure something out."
He glanced over at the tack room door. "Look, I'm going to go see if I can find one of those birthing kits. Maybe they'll have one - if they don't, I know what we need. I did a lot of reading. Just keep an eye on her. I'll be right back." Not running, but walking very fast, he strode to the tack room door and went inside.
