Scorpio began to make his way up stairs, absorbing fire all around. "Damn...I don't know how much longer I can hold this or keep absorbing all of this. Fire has so much energy and there's a lot of it."

"My lord Dragon, Miss Adeline and myself are vastly too depleted to return us to the realm of Gaia. Wouldst thou be a gentleman enough....?" Kasuma trailed off. She was standing awfully close to Dragon. He could see a tear running down one cheek. Kasuma's hand outstretched sligtly towards him.

Dragon sighed.

"All right little Sister. I can see my way to taking you to your home."

The world blurred. Pain seared through them all. It felt as though their bones were being ground to powder. A flash, and the group was gasping at the difference between the choking sulphurous atmosphere and the normalacy of the Islands sweet breezes.

Beatrice was nowhere in sight. The Cafe was in ruins. A lone figure covered in ash and soot stood looking after the trail of a huge fireball.

Mirleya's arm came up, dartgun in hand. Dragon spun sensing the inevitable. It was too late. The dart struck him. He could feel the sedative washing through his veins as all went black.

Onee colapsed.

Scorpio sat up slowly and looked around, "Damn...couldn't quite stop the fire. Well atleast it won't spread to the rest of the island." He stood up and brushed off ash and soot. He felt very dirty. He would take a bath when he got home.

He turned to leave and noticed that the Cats were back and Gatz was there too. He went to wave to them with his left arm, but he couldn't move it. Looking it over, Scorpio saw that it was either dead or to badly burned to use at the moment. "Well this sucks!" after he had said that, he saw Onee fall, "What the hell is going on?"

"Stunning huh? Well I can't exactly use my left arm, but I can use other things," he said before turning towards Gatz, "Perhaps you'd like to lend a hand?"

Kasuma cradled the unconcious Oneechan in her lap. Her arm caught Silver, and she pulled him to her bosom.

"Don't worry little one. Onee will be allright. Aunty Mirleya just had to stun her. That nasty Dragon-being that had control of her can only be stopped this way."

Onee began unconciously purring.

Adeline stood up, and staggered haggardly over to Scorpio.

"Oh my your arm."- She grabbed his arm. She felt a pull. It felt like his arm was trying to pull her in. The hand of Nekomewmican surrounded her, grounding her in this plane of existance. Her touch was light on the charred flesh. Hold still. -"In the name of the beloved goddess Ino Mata. Let the power freely flow, I channel your love. Heal this man's arm of his pains."

Scorpio's arm glowed bright white. Adeline let go, colapsing unconcious. All of her power depleted.

Scorpio's arm was fully healed. He was amazed by the magic. He picked up Gatz arm and tossed it back at him. "Heh heh...looks like I'll be fine, but thanks anyway. I'll drop you a line sometime if I ever need some assistance again."

Scorpio looked down at the neko that healed him, knelt down to her, raised her up a bit with his right arm, got behind her, and layed her against him to prop her up. "You didn't have to do that you know," he whispered to her, "You friends are much more important."
