He could only nod. Yes, her pelt had been the greatest gift he'd ever received. Now he'd just have to pay her back. They could talk about it all they wanted, but until she had his promise it was only talk. As nervous as it made him, he'd have to start working on that. He wanted it. Maia deserved it.

Lori came out of the shower with hair still slightly damp. Luca liked it long, so he kept it long regardless of how much Toby teased him about it. He came to Luca and kissed his cheek.
"What're you up to now?"

Luca smiled at Lori. "Lets go for a drive," he said. "Its finally warm enough to have the hood down." And a drive, just the two of them, without any preplanned destination. It'd be nice. He took Lori's hand and gave it a squeeze. "We can stop somewhere for lunch."

Ah, yes. A drive with the top down! He hadn't really gotten to go out on a joyride with Luca, although he did like to take his fiance's car whenever possible.
"Do you have a place in mind?" he asked, kissing Luca's cheek as he held him from behind.

Luca shook his head, spreading his arms. "Destination anywhere," he said. "Want to drive?" he asked.

Ooh. Just a drive to drive. When was the last time he'd done that? Not as of late, not with his ex... had he ever within the last few years? He wasn't sure.

"I'll drive," Luca said, smiling. "Go get dried off, love." While they couldn't get sick from cold air rushing against them, they could get chilled. "I'll get the hood down."

Lori really was dry, save his hair. They were obedient locks, though, and he left Luca only to return with a beanie on rather than having blow-dried anything. It was easier. It was faster. He wanted to get going.
He gave Rosie a bone and yelled to Seamus that they were going out before actually heading into the front yard to meet up with Luca, locking the door behind him. He looked a bit like a hipster, but who cared? He leaned over and kissed Luca on the cheekbone.

Luca smirked at Lori. "You look like a hipster," he teased, kissing him happily. "Come on," he said, climbing into his car. "Which direction should we go first? Lets get lost together!"

Lori gave Luca a bit of a look, but returned the kiss anyway.
"If you'd like I can go back inside and spend another ten minutes drying the mop you profess you love so much." He climbed into the car after Luca and took a coin from his pocket. "Heads is right," he said, flipped the coin, slapped it on his arm, and then lifted his hand.
"Tails. To the left!"

"You look perfect," Luca amended, after a moment. He started the car and took off to The left. He was grinning. "Which way now?" He asked.

Lori grinned and let his head fall back. The wind washed over him. Ah, yes, this was the life, and the tightness around his ring finger reminded him that he'd signed up for forever. He laughed with joy and then shrugged.
"Go until we can't any more, then we'll flip again!" He then reconsidered. What about all of the missed roads in between? "Pick a number one to ten!"

Luca kept going, eyes on the road but clearly enjoying himself. Just being on the road with Lori was wonderful. The rush of wind against his face had him smiling.
"Five?"

"Take the next left!" Lori said happily, "Preferably not a dead end!"
Evens had been right and odds left. Undoubtedly they'd get far enough away that they could pick any road and it'd be unfamiliar, but for now numbers and coin flips would serve them well.
Lori lifted his arms up and let the air push them as he stretched. The rest of his life could be like this!

Luca took the next left, thoroughly enjoying this trip. They weren't headed any place in particular, but they could end up anywhere. He glanced at Lori from the corner of his eye and grinned.
