That is only the selfish perception of people... Judging on the items, I'd probably say somewhere around flat out Middle Class. Got ninja'd.
EDIT : Lower Middle Class. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win...
With the Pokemon they love best.

Upper middle class. Cool stuff, but gaudy.
I love playing this (although more subtly) in the Real World. That's where I tend to "cheat" by buying fancy, high-quality, rich-people clothes...in thrift shops! Yeah, people think I'm rich because I wear flouncy skirts as everyday wear...which can be fun, although not always in a nice way.
