(Wait, I looked back at earlier posts. There were only four demons to fight in the first place, since the fifth left the dome... and oddly enough, Jetstream set it up so that if all the demons are killed, the dome disappears. He made it easy that way. If fighting demons is considered 'easy'. Besides, the team doesn't yet know that that's how they get rid of the dome. Three down. Does that mean that the dome should be a little weaker than it was before? Maybe it's a lighter shade of gray or something.)

(The dome is setup to disappear after all the demons are killed or knocked out. The dome is connected to a different realm. )

"It's kinda hard to believe the government would train people like Castel. Violence, in the form of killing, never helped anyone. When I met Batman he taught me not to run away, but he also taught me not to kill."
Kai said behind BB. She kept her eye on the man, for any sudden movements... anything that would show that he was conscious.
"You're right. But you still technically run away from your problems."
"How so?"
Kai said she glared at Gar. She wanted to know what he meant by that. Sure he didn't mean it was because of her traveling.
"Because, why else would you never stay in one place too long. You always moved and somehow fell off the map and the next time we would hear from you is if you got in trouble or if you were tired of traveling."
"I have a knack for disappearing... but it's not purposeful. When I travel, it's because it's nice. Go to places with nice weather, help people around the world, meet new people, learn new languages."
"I understand that but you take that traveling thing too far. Why else would you be grounded to the Watch Tower for two weeks. It's because you don't take threats to your life seriously."
Kai took a deep breath.
"Fine, you might have a point."
"We need to find Robin and Super Boy. Wherever they might be."
"I can sense Robin easily since I gave him some of my aura. He's in that direction. Probably by the wall."
Gar set the man down.
"Can you carry him Kai?"
"I can try."
Gar transformed into a sparrow. Flying in the direction she pointed.
Kai opened up her wings picking the man up under his arms.
"Man you're heavy..."
Kai said stressfully. She jumped up and began flying. After she caught some air it was a little less straining on her as she made her wings bigger. She was able to keep caught up to beast boy for the most part, heading towards the wall.

Tim stood silently, staring at the wall. He could still feel the energy given to him by Kai, but he could also feel himself using it.
"Does it look duller to you?"
"What?"
Kon looked at Tim with a curious expression. He needed a little more to go on.
"The wall. It was a darker shade of reddish-black when those demons first appeared."
"Okay, so..."
"Something happened."
Tim took his eyes from the wall of energy and looked at Conner.
"Something that changed the properties of the dome."
Kon looked back up across the wall.
"Maybe it strengthened. It's draining us, isn't it?"
Tim stared at the grayish energy.
"Maybe..."

Castel finally undid the binds on his wrists, but held the rope in such a way where it looked like he was still bound.

Gar got Tim and Kon in his sight. He flew up to them transforming back into his human form.
"Hey guys... figure anything out yet?"
He walked over to the wall and looked up at it. The energy seemed to be almost overwhelming. He was almost intimidated by it.
Kai flew up behind them she landed on the ground setting Castel against a boulder. She stood by him looking down.
"We got him out safely..."
"I think if we put all our assessments together we can find a solution to get rid of this wall, then evacuate the City before anything else happens."
"Right, and what if more assassins show up when the wall is removed? I don't know about you guys but it will be hard to help these people with assassins out to kill us."
Kai looked down at the assassin as if she would get a response. She was suspicious that he might be conscious, although he seemed to be unconscious enough.
"They are the least of our worries for right now Kai."

Tim's arms were still crossed as he turned to see Gar and Kai accompanying them.
"Other than the fact that anything thrown into this thing is shot back at twice the speed?"
Kon looked at them, obviously disgruntled.
"There has to be some power source, or opening, or something we can do to this thing."
"I was noting how the color of the dome seemed to lighten since the time we arrived on the surface."
Tim pointed at the pulsing energy.

Patiently, Castel waited listening to the four Titans unaware that his bonds were undone. To act now would be foolish, not when the odds were stacked against him.

"Normally I could only see aura but this wall is made up of so much of it, so condensed that even you could see it. Black aura is the strongest, and white the weakest, colors are like the aura's fingerprint. It's lighter than before so... It would only go to say, that the wall is weaker."
Kai said looking at Tim. She felt proud of her small ability and walked away from Castel.
"That's good to know. But if it's taking our energy why is it weaker."
Kai walked passed Gar touching the wall. She turned back to them.
"It's not the wall. Something else, the wall is taking energy from whatever is taking our energy... The wall would only become weaker if we removed it's source of strength and the only things we removed were two..."
She perked up, she knew what it was. She smiled looking at them.
"The demon's! We defeated two of them and the wall is weaker. We only have to defeat the others and the wall will disappear."
"That's brilliant Kai. The only problem is finding them, before our energy runs out and defeating them."

Kon took a glance towards Castel and walked closer to him. He stood maybe a meter or so from the assassin, so he knew someone was in arms reach if the man woke up. Conner could see how the energy-draining was effecting Castel... he was faded too.
"Right! The demons... but how many more-"
Tim turned his head, his sentence cut and his attention pulling further into the city. Down the street were some citizens... but they appeared to calm to look like they cared about what was going on. From the light of the fires in the city, he could see that the pigment in their skin and the color of their clothes were completely bleached and dulled.

"I am not quite sure on that one... Possibly 2, maybe 3 but I wouldn't say there are more than that."
Kai bit her shirt sleeve and pulled it away with a sigh.
"...At least I hope not."
"So we need to find them and defeat them. Who is willing to stay behind and watch Castel now that he is out of the tower?"
"I could... I am not that much of a help when fighting demon's."
"K, but make sure you're careful around him Kai."
"I will."
"Let's go Kon, Robin."
Gar turned around and began running down the street towards the center of the city.

Kon ran after Gar down the street.
Tim waited a moment and glared at Castel. He looked concerned, turning to Kai.
"You sure about this? He's not going to be fun to deal with when he wakes up."
Robin pulled a small sedative from his belt. Before they left the Titans bunker, he had grabbed a few.
"You'll probably want this if anything gets out of hand."
He didn't know if she already had something of the sort.

Kai took the sedative from Tim and put them onto her belt which was nearly empty now.
"Thanks Robin... you should probably go. I think I can keep an eye on him and if you need me... use this to signal me."
Kai pulled out a flair stick.
"Throw this up where I can see it. It is Very Very Very bright so don't look at it when you start it. And it will be bright for several minutes."

"I know. Thanks."
Tim smiled, hooking the flair to his own belt. He turned, nodding a goodbye before he ran after Superboy and Beast Boy. Gar was right; they needed to find this thing while they still had the strength to fight.
Kon was a few steps behind Gar before he saw something approaching at a surprising speed. He crossed his arms infront of him to protect his torso and head as he was forced backwards, the ground under his shoes crumbling to gravel. When he looked up, he saw what looked 'human'... but with strength like that, Conner doubted this was a regular San Franciscan.
