he tossed a throwing knife at one of the men in the shadowed building. Quin shook his head and stood infront of Pixie, his back to her, as he sighed. carfuly he kept his head down as he adressed them, his hair covering his face. " thieves seem to get worse and worse. to bad i cant teach you better than this."

"ew do you think ya are, tellin us what ta do?" the man he had struck with the blade growled.
he frowned, irritated at their language skill's. " well.. now i see why you are so angry. if i had to chew on my words like that before i could talk i would be upset as well." he held up a hand to cut off any insults, then finaly raised his head so they could see his face. " i think.. its time you left."

four of the five men cursed in shock, murmering among themselves. " its shade.. " the fifth one however stood forward, a nasty grin on his face. " ive been waitin for a chance at you. Night Shade."

he didnt even blink as he slit the man from navel to nose. he jerked his knife free of the man then laughed darkly as he fell dead, watching the others flee and leave their comrad. " disguesting things. no honor."

he looked back just in time to see her fall to the side, fainting it looked like. he crouched next to her and tilted his head, his pupiless eyes narrowing as he ran a finger over her cheek. he swore she was pure sin. her figure, her hair, even her voice gave him a chill. but the way she acted.. it was as if she had no idea how she could affect people. she seemed.. innocent.

he sighed and scooped her up into his arms. he couldnt leave her here, and the only safe place he knew was not far. he looked closer at her, realizeing what had been off. she hadnt fainted from fear.. she was emotionaly wrecked. he shook his head and started walking.

he raised an eyebrow and leaned against a tree, not far from where she was. " not bad. did you learn from a teacher?" he wonderd to himself why she was here. at this time of night it was dangeruse to say the least. she wasnt the kind of person who would survive a night here. he decided to help, though she may not see it that way.

he caught her easily as she fell, but didnt set her down for a moment. he leaned until his face was next to her's so he could see her eyes, then he laughed quietly and pulled back. " human." he murmerd, still amused.

a slow smile spread across his face as he turned, with her still in his arms, and walked deeper into the grave yard. " not human." he murmerd to her, wanting to laugh at her question.

he grined again and looked ahead. this was where he was trying to get to. the old clearing was infront of a tomb, and circled so tightly on all sides by tree's that the only way in or out was the path he was takeing. he sat her down on the stairs to the tomb, then raised an eyebrow at her. he was fully expecting her to run, and with his nature he wouldnt be able to help himself if she did. takeing a breath he tried to sound reassureing. "not going to hurt you." he finished for her.

he sighed and appeared infront of her, carful to give her some distance. he couldnt let her close.. he wouldnt be able to keep his promise if she was near now. as calmly as he could, he shook his head. " i brought you here because dangeruse things roam this place at night. you will be safe here." he backed up a step, heading back to the opening to calm her down. " i will not stay here, but you need to. at least until the day light, then it will be safe."

the moment she touched him he stilled, his arms locking around her waist as his head fell forward. closeing his eyes, he nuzzled her neck and murmerd. " closer than i thought... they smell where you were." his tone took on an amused note and he niped her skin lightly. " they are hungry as well."
