Oh, in the screenshot they look like they're attached to his hands. Them being satellites makes much more sense.

The Strider games are platformers, but they're not necessarily any easier than the Marvel VS Capcom games.

I respectfully disagree. Platformers are known for jumping, often the use of weapons, and the collection of items. Some are more challenging than others, but overall a consistent level of difficulty. Fighting games are far more difficult, even the button-mashing of MvC games. The fighting genre is one that requires the understanding of tactics such as crossups, blocking, countering, and the variety of available moves. In recent years, the advent of combos makes things even more complicated as one must know the correct combination of buttons not only for special moves, but also what moves link into others smoothly enough to prevent your opponent from being able to block mid-combo. The epitome of this being the Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct games.
The proper combination of moves in MK can reduce your opponent by anywhere between 30% to 60% of life in a single attack sequence. Killer instinct goes one further in the latest incarnation with not only the famous "c-c-c-c-c-c-combo breaker" used to stop a combo, but there is a moment where if one is good enough, a 'counter breaker' is available to stop the combo breaker and continue pummelling the opponent. In a fighting game, one must know so very much more than a platformer to be able to play on anything more than button-mashing level.

I did not intend to imply all platformers. The Strider platformers, in my experience, are precision and deal with waves of enemies and some mild bullet-dodging. Of course, fighting games could still be considered harder that the Strider platformers.

sweatdrop Sorry, old friend. My nerdiness showed a bit much there. I didn't mean to come off as so antagonistic. It was just me going into detail. Gomennasai.

Not to be a downer, but I'm really worried for the state of the world w/ the severe problems plaguing Europe right now. Europe VideoNote that I have no idea the type of content that site normally runs nor do I agree w/ everything in that video. I get worried very easily, which is why I tend to avoid the news. EDIT: I also recognize the video displays bias, but there's truth even if you filter out the bias.

Thus far, I have kept my proverbial head in the sand. Not because what happened wasn't likely horrific, but because at this point my life is so stressed and bad, it is hard to consider other countries. We have so much trouble here in the states that I am an asshat . . . and say we have our own problems.
sorry.

I can completely understand, since I generally avoid news as well. Nothing wrong w/ focusing on our own nation's issues, as those largely do come first.

Its a dual-edged blade. On one hand, we need to fix our own yard before going out and worrying about others. I am so sick and tired of us being the police for the planet and then vilified for doing just that.
On the other, this isn't an American or French issue. This is a human issue. Turning our back on this travesty shows a callous side that does our world no good at all.

It's a giant mess, unfortunately. Darned if we do or don't, as it were.
I'm also not referring to France but to Sweden & Germany.
