One wondered if anyone else besides Sangre lived in this dilapidated apartments.

By the looks of the broken strollers and dirty toys that lingered near a few of the doors, one could expect that Sangre wasn't the only person forced to sink so low.

But she made good money as a model. Even if she had to pay the hospital for medical bills, she should've still had enough left over to pay for a decent apartment.

So where did the rest of the money go?

The thirteenth apartment lingered ominously at the far side of the abused gardens. Nothing would happen if they just stood there waiting.
