Gah, I never realized how hard it was to put together a simple costume. I just hope I won't suffer any ill effects from all the chrome spray paint. xp

It's for the handle part of Gojyo's weapon. The blades are simple cardboard and foil, but I wanted to get fancy with the shaft. I tried to make a vest out of a $5 Wal-Mart tank top, which turned out meh-ish, but the dumb sewing machine wouldn't cooperate long enough for me to do the headband. I ended up just cutting the material to size and ironing it. I'm debating whether or not to write anything on it.

Oh, you know Gojyo. He's one of the complex edits I had done here. I have the edit in my Gallery, and I can pull up my pic archive if you want an idea of his original look.

Have you tried foil tape? I think you can buy it at a local hardware store, and it comes out quite nicely if you apply it right. :3

Putting together cosplay costumes is fun. X3 I remember when I put my Garnet Til Alexandros XVII costume together. Silver chain is way too expensive, so I just went to the hardware store and bought very thin stainless steel chain to drape over her skirt and around the sleeves. It worked out perfectly. Fabric stores, craft shops, beading shops, and hardware stores...that's all you need. XD
Man, if you ever want to see it done and done RIGHT, go to Yaya's website. I think it's angelicstar.net or something like that. She's pretty and has a great body and does the most amazing (and expensive) cosplaying I've ever seen. @_@

I already had the pants, boots, and staff part. 2. Lack of sufficient money to do anything elaborate. 3. Procrastinated too long, since the Mini-Con is tomorrow. xp
